  1. Yup .. Stock 5 20. Where I at, rarely gets cold. I agree on the lube. I used to see this on Alfa Romeos. Cold engines just tick like crazy. But those were old classic cars. On these modern systems, it should be quiet.
  2. I'm pro at Android. Tried every trick for Java to work. Side loading and all. Skyfire even failed. But yeah. . If I don't find the sticker.. I'll just call. Thanks all.
  3. ill take another look tomorrow. Thanks for to tip.
  4. woah! Does sound very low. Anyone else know on the price? I was expecting around 300$ to 600$. Who knows now, wait like you said. And hope the price and part is correct.
  5. Now that the temp in the morning is warmer. . No more ticking noise for me. It's a temperature thing on some cars.
  6. Damn! I'm aware of that site. Is there another way? My main laptop is down. Do I'm doing everything on my phone. And that site don't work on my phone. I got a Galaxy Note 2. Everything works. But this one site.
  7. Todd..... I've held back on going to the dealer for my tranny issue. Ive read that the throttle body issue could be causing this irratic tranny shifting so I serviced the throttle body myself to see if I get a thump now. I'll keep everyone updated. Also. .. Todd... How do I find out the year month date Mt car was build on? I checked the side of the door. . Nothing there.
  8. Also. .. on the maf sensor, people use a q tip on it. Mines wasn't really dirty, so I just sprayed it. But I've been reading and some people say that just spreading it won't clean it. That you need to some how agitate the grim a bit with something. It looks fragile so I stayed away from touching it. Anyone or there tried to scrub it somw how?
  9. I suggest this because when I do this to my car, it almost kills the engine. But I'm not experiencing any throttle body issues like stalling while it's in D. So give it a shot.
  10. okay try this, go to an empty parking lot just to be on the safe side. And put the car in reverse, and tap the gas pedal really fast all the way down and snap it so it let's go by its own spring strength. in other words you want to peck the gas pedal. as fast as you can. see if that does anything, that's the only idea I have.

    Engine noise

There's a tsb on this. if it doesn't go away after 10 minutes you have a problem
  12. Btw.... Did I miss a step? Can you remove the throttle body completely and tear it apart further to clean out? I may got the flap and inside around the flap area. Just curious.
  13. If you got a edge with over 60k miles and never done a air filter with a throttle body service, I highly recommend you to do it. Doing those 2 items made my car run like never before. I would say I gained the lost hp I got used too. My closest estimate would be around 8 to 10 hp. Because I can feel the very good responsive and stronger pull.
  14. This is for those who want to do it themselves. It was easy on my 2011 awd edge. Just 2 8mm socket clamps. They come off, and 2 vacuum lines. One vacuum line is a special clip type. The other just pulls off. Once you have the boot off completely, its saturated and dripping with oil. I just hosed it clean with efi cleaner and wiped it dry. Sprayed efi throttle body cleaner on the butterfly flap and with a soft tooth brush, I scrubbed it clean. Wiped it dry. Then I took off the MAF sensor. It's a rectangular box on the air filter side box. 2 special torq screws come off and gently pull it out. Once it was out, inspect it for cracks or any visible damage. Mines looked in great shape. But I still went ahead and Sprayed it with MAF cleaner. I gave it a good 8 burst spray on all the entries of the sensor. The spray has to be MAF cleaner. Nothing else! That maf cleaner dries up fast. Then put it back in and tighten up the torq screws. Then reverse install put the boot and tightened the clamps, plug the 2 vacuum hoses.. Started up the car and it hesitated for 2 seconds, but fired up. Drove it and noticed it was way more responsive than before! The slightest gentle push of the gas pedal. .... VROOOOOM! it reacts strong! So they're you have it! Not a hard job at all. Took me a total of 15 minutes. I wish I took pictures bit I didn't since I just wanted to finish it. But you should have seen the inside the boot! I would say at least 6 table spoons of oil in there. Luckily. .. The oil never touched the maf sensor since the vacuum sucks out in away from the MAF sensor.
  15. Did you find out what the issue was? Tb?
  16. this could possible be the culprit. Why? I've tag people claiming they had the tsb done and the problem is still there. Makes me wonder.
  17. I've seen some edges with a Chrome strip on the handle where you rest your Palm to shift to D. Mines is a SE and it has a plastic black strip. Anyone knows if Ford or anyone else sells the strip only. Looks like it's a pop off thing.
  18. Cinnamon. .. btw. My sis got a kia. A KIA! 2012. And that is painted fully. A 10k car. Lol. That's why I tend to point it out. But it's really up to us, we shouldn't but these cars if they have terrible quality.
  19. Cinnamon. Lol. I would never go in to have them repaint it. Hahaha. Just saying it's porly painted. As for the head liner. .. That thing needs to be fixed period. It's not my car. . But that bugs the heck out of me. I surprised the op has not gotten it fixed already.
  20. That head liner. That kills me! You will get funny looks when you go to the dealer and complain about it. I bet you that. If that thing is under the factory warranty I would push to have that fixed. That looks awful.
  21. yes. .. inside the tailgate. Same quality. At first when I do a good cleaning, I thought it was just heavy dirty and dust. Lol. You know, when I open the doors or liftgate.. I like the deep gloss and shine everywhere. Every little corner counts for me. I'm very picky. I wax the inside of my doors. . That's how picky I am. Plus it like great when the does are open and is shiny and deep glossy. But hey. .. its just me.
  22. Pretty much how my cards looks on the inside of the door jams. Lacking a good thick coat. But oh well. We bought it. e Have to live with it. Of I stick with edges for the future. .. It better have a good coat. Otherwise I move on.
  23. Ohh wait. . I see the yellow base. That's pretty much how mines is too. Your headliner looks bad. .. id take it. That stuff bothers me sooo much.
