  1. White is hard to see! But it looks nice. I got to clean mines and then take pics. But I yours. . She is it lacking paint? If any!
  2. I took 5 pictures. But only one came or ok so you see what I mean with the thin paint. The outdoor light with the sun kills the rest of the pictures. But here's one pic at least. You see the whole yellow glow around the hinge? No paint.
  3. Oh... You'll notice the thump. Its very hard. Like a semi hit you in the back.
  4. Ok. Dos this effect the 2011 edge se? Is there a recall of just a tsb? And what gets serviced when they do a cleaning? The map sensor? What exactly gets cleaned so I can do it myself. I'm experiencing ruff shifting and poor gas mileage. So I'm leaning towards mines about to fail.
  5. Lol. I found the hard way on that dampner thing. I never seen that thing. I put open end wrench on it. Striped it. Put a flare wrench on it. .. stripped it more. I didn't know about flipping the dampner cover off and removing the torque screws. But the way I got it off was put a thi b g 15mm open end wrench on the inside of the bolt. And it loosened up. Then just unspin the dampner by hand. Lol. It worked.
  6. Best solution. Hey under the car safely. Pull on ask the linkages. Use a big Crow bar. Pry on every ball joint and linkage. If we everything is tight. .. wheen bearing most likely. Don't assume wheel bearing instantly without eliminating any joints. If you got a joint that is loose it will throw your wheel alignment off on one wheel and cause that noise. 7. Ok. Update. I suspect the problem was at the factory. Im using a thermal gun to read temps after drives and the rear brakes are cold. So no dragging like before that lead to my brakes wearing down very uneven. I suspect maybe the grease or clips were bad? Or maybe just corrosion. I didn't see any when I did them besides lots of brake dust. But now the car does feel alot more free moving. Something was hanging the calipers pads. I think this brake job solved it.
  8. Careful with the goo stuff. I think it ruins the tires sensor.
  9. Lol. I never fell for the extra cost of nitrogen. Its useless in real world use in regular drivers.
  10. that would be awesome! I'll take pics of mine to show you how mines looks bald. No kidding. I got the black toxedo color. But now I want to see how yours looks since you said it's covered nicely. I will wait for them. :] I would imagine it's too save money, but it just does not look good! I didn't noticed it when I bought the car. After I have it a really good cleaning. .. I noticed it. If I would have seen it before I bought it, I would have stayed away. I like the healthy looking paint jobs. I'm very picky.
  11. Yeah. .. kinda suks ford does this. Maybe not all the cars I imagine, has to be a factory thing. All my prior cars have had a healthy thick layer of paint everywhere. This Mt first car I noticed they went so thin, I can see the base coat. But I do like the car alot. Hopefuly tranny won't fall out anytime soon, and hopefully no more big issues form. We got lucky some of us got the extended warranty on the booster. . That's one less thing I worry about now.
  12. Transmission. Its naughty. I would go into details. But a member already complained that I complained about the edges transmission. So if you Google ford edge transmission problem, you will find lots of people with the same symptoms. Hard traumatic bump out of nowhere. Feels like someone tear ended you. But I'll stop here before the member reads this post. He will freak!
  13. I think I need a alignment myself. I rotated my tires to get rid of tire howling over 35mph. Well.. It's louder now. I have 64k miles. Never done a alignment. So I think the tie noise is due to a desiderate need of a alignment.
  14. 2011 edge here. Just did the rear brakes. I had to turn the calipers pistons cw and the puston retracted without any issues. Both cw. And the dangling thing you asked about is a noise eliminator. It matches the high frequency pitch we call brake noise squeal. I had to research it myself since I never seen it. Does it work? I don't know. .. my brakes don't make noise. I just threw in pads and cleaned everything and our light coat of brake grease on all contact points. Brakes are good.
  15. Hmmmm........ id say something dangling. Sticl your head under the car. Make sure you don't have something dangling that's being swayed with the wind.
  16. For my car, under the hood. It's like a mist of paint on the hard to reach spots. And the middle door pillar. The center has a very light coat. I can the the base coat. Inside the door jams, again. ... towards the middle of the door jam.. You can see it was given only one pass of paint.
  17. Welcome Michael. Wait till you feel the rear ender mega thump at a rolling stop. You will freak! Lol
  18. Yes. This is rice car noise. I don't like that. Stock is way better. More professional. And less steam rice. Dint get me wrong. . Asian females are very pretty, but not the tailpipes.
  19. Well.. Now I'm going to stuff my head under there to see the glorious gap and see if I have it. Also.. I thought the hood insulator was to prevent the engine heat making the good info a steak skillet. Isn't that it?
  20. lol. I noticed the paint! Even on the door jams. .. The skimpped paint! Or they got a blind man painting with a lego spray. Crazy embarrassment for Ford. Wtf! I thought it was just me and my luck with cars.
  21. Lol. Must be the same booster. You see. . Ford ain't that bad.
  22. last time I got the transmission thump was when I came to a rolling stop, haha I love the power of the carñ sounds awesome.. but it did not help and give me a loud boom thump.I kept looking up the rear view mirror and I swear I thought I was going to be my transmission on the road. I thought for sure it fell all off
