  1. Not yet. Sent in some images to their tech support as requested a couple of days ago, but haven't heard anything back yet. If I don't hear anything by early next week will probably just get an RMA and send back.
  2. Anybody try these out yet? I ordered a set from carid.com and tried to put them on the 2015 Sport today. The back caliper covers fit perfectly, but the fronts are way off. The mounts are about 1" to far apart to sit on the caliper bracket, and even if they were closer together the mounting surface still wouldn't be angled correctly to sit flush nor would the mount clips work without some significant bending. I'm wondering if MGP just carried the part over from a previous Ford model that doesn't quite match the 2015 Edge brakes? The part# I got was 10241SFRDRD which seems to check out as the right listing. Will likely need to send these back, but was wondering if anybody else had tried to install.
  3. I remember this came up a while ago and I don't think we ever decided on a definitive answer. Was quite a bit of debate on that the actual curb weights were (listed differently all over the interwebs). Maybe heavier wheel/tire combo on the MKX or other significant unsprung weight differences? As you know GT500R, the answer is just put on the Livernois tune and go
  4. remember that wheel offset plays more of a role in how flush it is with the wheel well or if it will rub on the inside, not necessarily the overall wheel width.
  5. My sport w/ 21's comes with a regular temp spare wheel and tire. I don't think a full size wheel/tire (20 or 21) would fit in the spare tire area.
  6. For me, I generally leave it in D and use the paddle shifters to gear down on a hill. Works well since it will hold the gear as long as there's compression braking resistance from the engine, then goes back to auto shift once I get to the bottom of the hill.
  7. I think if you touch the ribs to lock the door, the door can't be unlocked by touching the handle for a few seconds (to keep from accidentally unlocking the door if you're just moving your hand away). It's not that it's going to break anything, just if you touch that part first you're going to have to pull on the handle a few times before it unlocks from the manual: Touch the top of the door handle to lock your vehicle. There will be a brief delay before you can unlock your vehicle again.
  8. Any part number available on the springs? I've seen them on a couple of the SEMA vehicles but can't find any kind of reference to them on H&R's site or various distributors.
  9. They have, on the order of +100hp or so: http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/products/2015%252b-2.7-Ford-Edge-Sport-MyCalibrator-tuning-device.html A few guys on here have already installed and put up some good initial reviews. Will probably pick one up myself sooner than later.
  10. In for updates. Will eventually be doing similar project on my Edge, so looking forward to seeing your build!
  11. Ran the update on my 2015 Edge about a month ago and so far seems about the same except the BT no longer works as well as before. I use my phone (Galaxy S3) for calls paired as favorite device and my tablet (Tab S) for media/streaming/etc. On the phone I have it set to be used as a phone device only, and the tablet set to be a media device only. This worked great in the previous 3.7 MFT interface. The phone always auto connected and the tablet always was selected by default for the BT media player. If I was listening to a podcast on MFT via the tablet and turned off the vehicle and came back later, MFT would always automatically reconnect to the phone and tablet and resume playback. Now with 3.8 in the same scenario, the phone still auto connects, but the tablet is no longer remembered as being the last device used for BT media. If I come back later to the vehicle it doesn't remember that I had a BT device playing (so just goes back to default FM radio) and I have to scroll back to select BT source. At that point it has the next pop-up that asks what device to use. So now instead of being 100% automatic, it takes a couple of menus and 4-5 clicks to get back to the correct BT media source. Not a deal-killer in the long run, but definitely a step back in functionality for me. I realize it's a relatively specific scenario (one device for calls, one device for media) but still kind of annoying. Whatever code was optimized for 'easier phone pairing with automatic reconnection' seemed to make it so that it forgets that it had a secondary media BT device connected. I'd roll-back to the previous version but not sure if that's possible.
  12. Nice testing! For the tuning, does the liverois unit come with the tunes preloaded? Or do you send them data from the unit after instalation (like, an e-tune type of thing) If the latter is the case, do they charge for the additional maps?
  13. Usually yes, all my previous vehicles the interior fuse panel is just behind an access cover and then you can get to all the fuses. The one in the 2015 Edge is way, way back, behind quite a bit of other wiring, pretty much on the firewall behind the steering column. Even knowing where it is I'm not sure I could change a blown fuse. I wanted to hard-wire in my dashcam to a acc circuit and I still haven't been able to get a fuse tap onto any of the circuits. So if a Ford dealer knows a trick I'm all ears.
  14. I think he means the interior fuse panel, not engine compartment. I was also trying to access it and ford doesn't make it easy. I looked for the trim piece they mention in the manual and didnt see anything obvious. Finally just stuck my head under the and it's way back there, not easy to get to. Even if you did pull off some trim still would be hard to get a hand in there...
  15. If you mean the high beam side of the bulb being used for the DRL then no. There's only 2 wires on the harness leading to the 3 terminals on the bulb from what I remember. What I thought about trying (though likely wouldn't be entirely legal) was wiring a relay from the high beam shutter circuit to activate the high beam coil in the DRL.
  16. So split it into 2 documents. First one is 45 pages and tells me about the features of the vehicle. The second one is 480 pages titled 'If you do any of this you will die and don't say we didn't warn you'
  17. no kidding. I read through my manual cover to cover, and it seems like 80-90% of each page's text is listed under WARNING or ALERT. If they could have a manual telling me about the car and leave out what NOT to do with the car the information would be much more presentable, and probably only about 40 pages instead of 500+ of mind-numbing (and usually 110% obvious) warnings.
  18. The SEMA cars always tend to be a little bit bonkers, but that's kind of the point. As mentioned, cars like these show that there are likely some aftermarket toys coming, and I would really like some good lowering springs for the Sport -SJ
  19. I did the wheels on my Subaru a while back, and will be doing the wheels on my Edge before too long. Just head over to https://www.dipyourcar.com/and hook yourself up. Gloss black should be pretty easy to do.
  20. My guess is the service is no longer available. The message from the Mapquest FAQ is to ask Ford about it: We are aware of some ongoing issues with the Send to Ford SYNC feature on MapQuest.com and encourage you to double check with Ford Support at the link above if you experience any issues with your account when trying to use this feature. Would be good to hear from somebody that it does work for so we can figure out if the service is dead, or just broken. -SJ
  21. Wow, that thing goes to max torque and doesn't let off
  22. So would you say the main difference between S and D probably comes down to slightly faster shifts in S? It doesn't look like there's any significant tuning difference between the two. Does your butt-dyno notice much difference? I guess the next logical test might be S mode automatic vs. S mode manual shift to see if there's any gains to be had or if the paddle shifters are there more just for fun.
  23. Those are some great numbers! Looking forward to additional daily driver performance and mileage review. Tell them to get that packaged up and on their website As others, very curious about the specifics!
  24. Link? I haven't seen anything out yet for the 2015 Edge's in looking around. I contacted a few places asking about it and they said they didn't have anything yet. I looked on ebay and it shows one that's a 2015 Ford service info DVD, but looks like the publish date on it is April 2014 which probably wouldn't include the current Edge.
  25. Yes, I have an active sync services account. The other features work fine (weather report, traffic, etc). PM'ed you the number. Had just noticed the send to Sync no longer worked on Mapquest and was wondering if support for it had been dropped (or if there were other options)
