I've owned several trucks (Blazers & Explorer) over the last several decades while also owning a bunch of dogs. I discovered that for a modest cost and a little effort I could cover the rear deck and the backs of the second row seats making them a bit more dog proof. I try to use a fabric backed vinyl in a color that either matches the interior carpet or comes close. My local fabric store was going out of business soon so my choices were limited and my vinyl color selection for my new Edge is not my first choice, but the price was right. I got five yards (much more than needed for the job) for under $25. All my other projects used only the vinyl with velcro sewn to the back side so that it grabs the carpeted areas. For this job I found that the carpet covered fiber board lends itself to the use of a stapler and was pretty easy to cover it. The seat backs will require a bit more effort to cut the vinyl and make it look good and also attach the velcro. The attached picture shows the work done so far. Again, the color of the vinyl is a bit odd, but I can live with it.

2015-2016 Edge Ventshade choice?
Chipster replied to Chipster's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I have used them for many years for the sole purpose of leaving the windows down an inch or so while the vehicle is parked in direct sunlight for extended periods. (while I am out on the river fishing)They allow the interior to breathe without worrying about rain entering the vehicle in case it rains. They (in my experience) will sometimes create some additional wind noise, but not to unacceptable levels. -
If you have used these ventshades which did you select and why? One is "in channel" while the other is "low profile". http://www.amazon.com/Auto-Ventshade-894035-Seamless-Ventvisor/dp/B011E9TN9Y/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1457562890&vehicle=2016-54-5858------------2-0&sr=1-4&ymm=2016%3Aford%3Aedge&keywords=ventshades http://www.amazon.com/Auto-Ventshade-194930--Channel-Ventvisor/dp/B011E9TOS4/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1457562890&vehicle=2016-54-5858------------2-0&sr=1-1&ymm=2016%3Aford%3Aedge&keywords=ventshades

Pictures don't really do this color justice!

I did not notice this issue on mine, but will look more closely to see if I have the same thing. On early inspection and after putting 50 miles on it I find it to be very quiet and free of rattles and road noise. I expect after putting more mileage on it I will pick up some, but let's see. Here are a few pictures.

Nice! I am picking mine up tomorrow and have fingers crossed in hopes that it will be in good shape. I will post up some pictures and a pick up review / report tomorrow PM.

Everyone, make sure to put up pictures of your new ride after you get it!

Front Passenger Window "Stain"
Chipster replied to Manny2525's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
WN; I don't remember that you had your canoe rack on for very long, but did you notice any scuff marks on your paint when you removed it? I think you mentioned that you might have some small pieces of 3M (or other) film placed on the areas that the rack feet contact. Any thoughts about doing that now? -
Dog Haul Platform Project

I can't tell from your pictures, how flat is the deck? -
What do you mean by "none configured quite right"? Also, what equipment group did you select?

Thanks Cougster! As it turns out it tells me that the sticker has not been generated yet. This begs the question; When is the sticker generated? I was told that my Edge was to be built this past Mon.(the 22nd) Not sure if that happened or not though? Regardless, when is the sticker normally generated?

2015+ common area - a place to say anything (feel free to pin)
Chipster replied to 037's topic in 2015 Edge & MKX
Would you 2015 and early 2016 owners be so kind to share any tips, tricks, shortcuts, etc., etc. about the various systems, sub-systems on your new Edge? I am coming from a 20+ year old Blazer, so to say I am a bit overwhelmed by all the things this vehicle can and will do boggles my mind. I hope to have my 2016 by next month so I need to start doing a little homework before it gets here. Just looking for a few tips that you folks that already have an Edge can pass along to a new(er) owner. -
2015 owners, anything new to report?

Thanks, I was able to find out that it is scheduled to be built 02/22/16 with a possible ETA of the second week of March.

Rattle coming from the center of dashboard...
Chipster replied to WingNut's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
WN; Can that be fixed without taking it to the dealer? Also, can you post a picture of the offending piece? -
Ohhhh and the hell to follow that move.

When driven only, or will it make the noise / sound while parked out of gear and reved below 2K?
-
Has anyone seen how your new Edge was protected / plastic covered for shipping while in transit? Pictures please if anyone has any.Just curious...

You can get the Titanium with base equipment group 300A and not have the Vista roof.
