  1. Are you sure about the compressor? That would explain the vibration, especially if the ECM is not bumping up the idle and the compressor is on.
  2. Just as follow up, does it do it when in reverse, but stationary?
  3. I am weeks away from placing an order for my new Edge and remembered that there was a lot of useful information scattered throughout the "2015 Edge" threads. It would be very helpful to me, and I bet others, to have a single thread to find out the varied information that could / should come from the dealer, as well as order confirmation, info. tracking, and anything else that might be useful to an awaiting customer. Was there something you found useful in your post ordering experience that might fit well in this sort of thread? Please consider adding it here.
  4. redlancer; Please put up a picture of that cover. Thanks.
  5. Any indication that you are getting changes in idle (+- in RPM) when you feel the vibrations?

  7. You are spot on! Brain fade on my part...
  8. cab2g: Not sure this is the same issue or not, but check it out: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/19565-odd-smell-new-ford-edge/
  9. We need to keep in mind that the issues reported by edgetb & djrjr are on different powerplants. One with throttle body and one with direct injection.
  10. Nick keep us posted if the new piece fixes the issue. If you can, see if the replacement part has a new or different part number from the older part. Good luck!
  11. Has anyone used Plasti Dip on their wheels? If so, how did it look and how long does it last before needing a re-spray? Is it possible to do a touch up re-spray on chipped areas or does it require a peel and re-coat? How durable is this stuff?
  12. Nice report thanks! You might want to check your air pressure in the tires, sometimes they are over inflated.
  13. I know some folks got theirs, let's hear about them!
  14. It might be worthwhile for folks to post their order dates along with their "received" date, so we can see what sort of build time that the Oakville plant is taking now that they are up to a more normalized production speed. (I assume)
  15. Well based on other posts here it's just a matter of time before you early birds start to receive your 2016 Edge. I and I expect everyone else here are interested in hearing your thoughts and observations about your new 2016 Edge. Post up your thoughts, both positive and the not so much so. Please let us know as much as you can about your new ride, color, trim level, engine, driveability, etc. etc. Make sure you let us know how the new electronics work for you.
  16. Cool! Our other 9th SOS psy-ops aircraft was a C-47(DC-3)!
  17. I don't know if any of the members of this forum have the fond affection for airplanes that I do, but if you do, this is the thread to post your love of all things that fly. I guess my interest started in a high school "Introduction to flight" class taught by an retired USAF pilot. Fast forward a few years I joined the Air Force and went to tech. school to learn how to "keep em flying". Fast forward a few more years I am in Nam as a crew chief of an 02-B (9th SOS psy-ops bird) and got to watch all the jets of those days take off and land directly in front of me. I also got to watch the older aircraft like the fantastic A-1E (Sandy) I also developed a love of the war birds of WW II. Here are a few pictures of planes I have worked on or had the opportunity to get up and personal with. Also a video I found that really gets your blood flowing if your into quick aircraft. If your also into aircraft which ones do you like.
  18. For what it is worth, I spoke to a Ford CSR and was told that Ford was going to try to get at least 1 2016 Edge to dealerships by Jan.19. I guess seeing is believing...
  19. I wish...This one too. I got this when I returned from Nam in 71. Convert.w/ hardtop LT1 350/330. This one would be worth a mint today, but it was really a pain while I owned it. Fast, but required a lot of attention...
  20. The troubling aspect for me is that the condensate will at some point leave accumulating "water spots" (from dissolved road dust and / or hard water) that will be impossible to remove.
