POWERSTROKE / anyone else who knows; I just crawled under my Edge to survey what it was going to take to change the oil. I see the shield and wondered how much cutting it will take to be able to do the oil change without making a mess (will a 1" 3" cut-out really be enough?) or having to take that shield off every time. Can anyone snap a picture of their reshaped splash shield and post it here? Also, I forgot to check out what size that drain plug was.

I just got a re-up notice from Sirius and they want $191.24 for extending their service a year. This is for what they describe as "The All Access Package". I tried to read through all the associated paperwork that came with this notice to see if there were other packages or tiers that might cost less, but did not find any. I do listen to a few channels on Sirius, but not enough to pay the kind of money they are asking for. I just wondered if they have the ability to provide customer selected stations to our vehicles or are there packages that we can select from other than the all access package?

2015-16 rear bumper cover wear

Norm, can you take a picture of this cover with the back hatch open? -
There seems to be a lot of conversation about throttle body failure on the 3.5 V-6 so I thought it would be helpful to create a specific thread that would allow owners of second gen. Edge to create a data base (of sorts) that might give us all an indication of how widespread the problem is, and what has been done by your dealer to correct the issue. Please indicate your model year, and your mileage when the first symptom occurs. Additionally how long did it take your dealer to find and fix the issue? How many dealer visits did it take to get the problem dealt with? Has anyone had more than one TB fail on their vehicle? Also, It would be great if we could find a part # for the "as installed" TB on our 2015-16 Edge. If we knew that part # and then find out the part # for the "replacement" TB we might have some confidence this issue might be resolved or at least an effort has been attempted. For those of you that have had a TB replacement please check your repair ticket for the part # for your new TB.

So what's happening musically in your Edge right now? I got this CD in heavy rotation, and it rocks!

I got mine about the same time. I was beginning to wonder if they were going to get picky about the Walmart purchase, but not a problem.

How late? Build date?

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION THROTTLE BODY for your 2016 Ford Edge SEL with a 3.5L V6 - Gas. OEM Ford part #AT4Z-9E926-B I guess the question remains; Do we have any reported 2016 failures yet?
-
Have we had any 2016's with this issue reported? I went through this issue with a 2010 Fusion (along with a lot of other owners) I bought a new TB from a Ford dealer on Amazon for little more than $100. Some months later Ford sent out a TSB on the issue and reimbursed me for the part expense and also reflashed the ECM. The car drove fine after the TB was replaced.

Maybe the title of this thread does not ring true for you, but it sure did for me. I was able to sweet talk my way onto a brand new 1967 Honda SC 160 Scrambler back in the day. It led to a series of bikes of which I still have pictures of though I hung up my helmet back in 2007. I’ll post up pictures of a few of my bikes in hopes that those of you that ride will do the same. In between the SC160 and the Honda VFR 800 came a 1976 250 Yami Enduro a 1981 Kaw. SR 650. I use to race the 160 on Sunday's in a converted (for the day) cow pasture. When you had a shitty day... It was real shitty!

Sure! I'll start a new thread on our motorcycles and see where it goes.

And...The trail wildlife does not focus on their cell phones. Different strokes for different folks!

I was always amused by "old school" HOG riders when I would extend a hand when passing them. There was, and perhaps still is, ill will expressed when passing them on my (as you describe) "crotch rocket". Fast forward to the mid 90's and later as HOG's became a fashion statement and their new riders didn't get the memo to ignore sportbike riders, we would get many more waves than not. I liked the change.

Thanks Nick! Good to see this thread active again! rwf; Got any pictures of your flt ops. off the Kitty Hawk? What else have you had hrs. in?

Clever...

It's the ventshade! I am used to (on previous vehicles) having them fully shield a partially opened window from rain intrusion. Given the Edge's design the back ones don't fully give you that protection. I didn't even notice that until yesterday, but would have been aware of it had I parked it outside in the rain. No harm no foul, just be aware.

I suspect too good to be blue will be one casualty, but who knows at this point? Which color(s) do you think will be changed up for new shades / colors for the 2017 Edge / MKX, and what new colors will be added? Which existing color on the corporate palette or new color / shade would you like to see, and or buy for 2017?
-
What changes would you like to see for the 2018 Edge?
Chipster replied to Chipster's topic in 2017-2018 Edge & MKX
As an addendum to my above item; I would add that it would have been nice to have the option of ordering a roof rack with cross bars like those found on the Explorer. -
I suspect that by now owners of 2015-17 Edge / MKX have thought about some things that they would have loved to have added or changed about their second gen vehicle. If you have some add or change to the features of your current second gen Edge / MKX let's hear them. So far my only real change would be to have the back seats lie completely flat when folded down.
