Is there a particular website or auction to purchase these cars? I saw one the other day. But when I called the dealership he said that they were just getting ready to remove the ad.
Whats the book value on these edges? The one I saw had lemon law dealer buy back on the carfax. My coworker gave the insurance company a vin to get a quote on insurance and the rep said that they would not provide gap coverage because the edge was involved in a accident. My coworker and I were shocked cause the car fax came back clear.
When he told me I told him to walk away. Dealer was shocked that he told him it was in a accident. I thought it was a omen. He was about to get raped on the trade in and be upside down and inside out. I said they are out there. You will find another one.
Since you have to take it back for the LED repair , might as well have them address the blemishes... when they say it will be a few days ask them to find you a rental.
Since you compared them to Michelins it would be interesting to see how they feel and sound after the first 30-40K miles. New Michelins are great but as the softer outer compound wears and you enter the second stage of tire life between 30-40k they are hella noisy.
You have great taste in rims. I love that rim.
That's the one that I have and the difference is night and day!
I'm plotting and schemeing on a 2016 edge sport. If I can get the numbers to make sense, Without screaming for Preparation H for the but pain on the trade in. I'll drop you a line.
Excellent write up! Thanks for sharing your trials, tribulations and ultimate success with the community. Can't speak for everyone but I'm sure there it would be a resounding chorus of we appreciate it!
Don't settle! The moment you settle you get less than what you settled for.
Then you will end up second guessing your decision.
It will be a bitter pill that you swallow time and time again.
Talk the dealer down off of his price with the 401A or find a different dealer!
Ah I see. I thought it was simply an issue of putting the gasket back on.... And getting it to stay on. I did not know there was a right way to do it. Thanks for sharing the steps.
