  1. ^ / ^^ out in the country these lights are super useful, especially when your're driving through farming areas, or gravel roads. Animals come out of nowhere, sometimes the roads bend without signs. Sure its illegal to use these types of lights on public roads (most places), as long as it is quick and easy to turn off, no harm no foul. Also, I've purchased many products from KAWELL, you can find their stuff on amazon. Its actually great, and affordable. I have 5 bars on a zero turn and they output crazy amounts of light.
  2. The shutters close on startup and open when the ecm decides the coolant is warm enough(depends on the ambient temp aswell) . They will also close at higher speeds to increase areo efficiency, and open when more cooling is required. You should be fine with installing it there, you might not even have to remove the shutter. Overheating would be highly unlikely as there is still air flowing around the light bar, unless you really go for a long hard drive, in which case you might want to monitor the coolant temp with a obd2 device. An alternative would be wiring some led strips (super bright ones) but it probably won't look as clean or be as bright.
  3. yeah the edge has puddle lamps that shine down when you unlock the car, and the scuff plate light(optional)
  4. HOW THE HECK DO YOU GET THEM BACK IN????? I've been trying for 20 minutes to get the housing to lock back in. Someone spare me the misery. Update: got them back in, such a strange process / angle
  5. I broke one of them removing it, which is why I had to replace them. As Tjm623 suggested, use a super small flat head bit and get the clip side to disconnect first, then on the opposite side there is a little black rectangle thing on the puddle lamp, get something(toothpick) to unlatch it from the mirror housing. Just be careful and you'll be able to wiggle it out.
  6. Honestly though its the cheapest implementation (besides the older durango) the light bar has like 8 small leds in it, they just used the plastic to disperse the light throughout the bar (notice how the light is uneven), with some electrical skills and patience you could mod a non light version and have it stay on all the time when the car is running.
  7. Ive had it try and park me into a spot that had a car in it already, several times. (parallel -6 , perpendicular - 7). Sometimes it tells me to keep backing up even though I couldn't fit my hand between the bumper and the other vehicle. I've lost all trust in the system, I only use it when there is enormous amounts of room and no one around.
  8. LOOOL don't worry about that, the reason its so high is because the engine spent most of its time idling or being driven slowly , which consumes fuel like crazy, especially when its new. I get like 35L /100km when I reset the trip computer and sit in the parking lot for 30 mins. Just ignore it, break in the engine, after about 400 km you'll see a change, then once break in is over after ~1200 -1500 km you'll get a consistent reading.
  9. LOL. Not yet, first I'll get a better set of pads, then maybe some better rotors.
  10. so these stock brakes shit the bed today. I stopped about 15 feet past the stop line (120 km/h to 0) at a red light, thankfully no one was around. There was ample braking distance but they just bit and then started to fade and vibrate like crazy (not abs).
  11. Anyone else who has the leather seats: isn't it annoying that ford used some synthetic, cheap, nasty feeling cloth on the right side of the driver seat & left side of the passenger seat. Sure you don't see it, but when you touch it, it makes you think "cheap ba$ta..." or is it just me?
  12. Yeah pretty sure all the edges have the foam compartments
  13. lol my lifetime fuel economy is 12.8L /100km or 18.4 mpg. Highway usually gets 11-12 L/100 km (19-21 mpg) cruise set at 120-140 km/h Best I've seen is 9.8 L/100km with the cruise set at 120 km/h over a 400 km trip. shell v power 91 since the 3rd fill up. Honestly not complaining about the lfe because well.. race car
  14. Let the dealer know you might have a loose timing chain Which is just surprising considering how new your engine is. The timing of the issue makes sense as these engines hold oil for a while after shutdown. heres what mine sounds like after sitting for 2 days (17K km): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3KiK2mnNJqFcXJXV2llaG1jSmc/view?pref=2&pli=1slight diesel-ish clatter but normal as WWWPerfA_ZN0W said
  15. Run to the dealer, that severe of a start up rattle should not be 'normal'. The worst I've heard is a bicycle chain sounding noise when I left it outside during a winter storm. When you say sitting, do you mean a few days, or a few weeks?
  16. functional & close-able hood vents anyone?
  17. Thats awesome! Did you spot any of the 3 row edges there? For the bov did you have to splice the factory wiring connector or just plug it into the new bov? I think the rest of us should start contacting these companies then. Ill send some emails today. Just noticed that the front view camera is attached to the grill so that means if anyone does switch the grill, the camera will have to be removed and modified to fit the new grill(if you want to keep it)
  18. Hope so, it just looks mean, like the raptor. Oh my mistake, then the red and blue are probably going to look much better. Well the seller responded within 10 minutes and sent me a picture: http://bit.ly/2bujbhM looks good, might buy one.
  19. I think they just edited the picture so the O R isn't visible (3rd pic) , probably because of trademark infringement, either way I sent a message to the seller to ask, cause damn that grill looks good . Yeah makes sense, interesting how they glow as well.
  20. Nick did you get the TS-0203-1081 bov for your edge? If you did, how easy was the install? Also I was wondering what model of the sct tuner did you get from unleashed? I know right, why cant companies start making parts, there is so many of us edge sport owners now. Those mats do seem interesting. Also there is an aftermarket grill available : http://bit.ly/2biZvjpThe black one looks pretty good, might be a future mod for me (depends if I can get a straight answer from customs on the import fee) And haha yep so much chrome on ebay.
  21. How hard did you pull on them? I can't get the lower latching point to disconnect however hard I pull.
