  1. Welcome. Sounds like you've got a few acquaintances that like guessing at your expense, ..... don't listen to them. You could stop by a place like AutoZone and have them scan it for stored fault codes, or more reliable get a ODBII adapter and Forscan app (free) and scan it.
  2. You could do a compression and leakdown test - if that's in spec then yes it could be the PCV system. A catch-can won't eliminate the oil consumption if you have a piston blow-by issue, but it would be beneficial not having the oil going into the intake and then the combustion chamber.
  3. Add your location and vehicle Model & Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  4. Did it resolve the issue at that time? If it did, then its more confirmation that its failed again - these days they're designed to "fail open".
  5. I would love to buy these, but too far away for local pickup. I have two with curb rash - makes it worse living with them because I can't blame my wife for either of them. I'm sure these will go fast, but if not and you'll consider shipping two or all four without tires please let me know.
  6. Welcome. What brand thermostat did you use? The thermostat is the likely cause of the low coolant temperature when at speed, and don't think its related to some of the other issues you describe.
  7. See post from @Haz regarding and later revision of the hose.
  8. I find the forum's search feature atrocious - I use the forums URL with key words in a Google search.
  9. I agree, at this point its all we've got. If our most valuable contributor @Haz knows of an alternate forum I'd be spending my time there.
  10. I cussed today and yesterday while this forum was down - most unreliable forum I frequent.
  11. Welcome. Suspect a blown head gasket - you can loan or buy a device from Autozone to test the cooling system for combustion gas to confirm head gasket issue, and/or a compression and leak down test.
  12. I wouldn't trust the Mazda car sales place to diagnose it and also wouldn't take their word that they had it at a Ford Dealership, unless they provided some kind of documentation from Ford. If it in fact was at Ford and they did not find any stored fault codes, then there isn't much they can do - they could spend some time checking electrical connections focusing on the Electric Power Steering connections.
  13. Welcome. When you say that she took it back to the dealership do your mean a Kia Dealership service centre?
  14. Welcome. Take it to the Ford dealership or find a certified reputable independent service shop.
  15. Update: One of the four TPMS sensors installed two years ago is failing. I think I'll go with US sourced OEM sensors from now on, or the programmable Autel sensors like the ones I have in my wife's BMW X5. Looking to get a set of four and pop the bead on one side and replace them all I have a question - do you know if the metal stems can be used in place of the rubber ones that came with the 21" Sport wheels?
  16. I installed 4 of these on 8/22/2022 at 81,170 miles, and today at 107,160 miles there's still loads of tread left after 26K miles. I haven't measured the tread depth, but quite confident they'll reach 80K miles.
  17. Welkom Boet. We also get snow in my area, and with AWD I find all season tires/tyres work just fine. I've had Bridgestone - ALENZA AS ULTRA bought from Costco for almost two years and will go with the same next time. Alenza AS Ultra | Bridgestone Tires
  18. Welcome. Could you post a photo so that we can have better idea of which part you're referring to.
  19. Try a search here and Google and you'll find an abundance of reports confirming that none of the 3rd party offerings work - another option would be to take a chance and try another 3rd party unit and report back.
  20. You might want to post the pic directly to the forum in .jpeg or .jpg format. Set your phone camera to "most compatible" format and it will save them in .jpg
