  1. Welcome. Not familiar with the latest models, but my 2017 updates over WiFi were so slow - I tried it once and cancelled it and went with downloading to USB. Check this site to see if download to USB is available. https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/search/Download SYNC with MyFord Touch software updates to a USB drive/ Maybe @Haz can help.
  2. The TPMS sensors installed one year ago in my Edge are working great, and so are the ones installed in my BMW motorcycle two years ago - both sets bought from the same country that made my 4 yo cell phone which is still working flawlessly.
  3. I replaced my evap purge valve and the only symptoms was a minor stumble at idle immediately after gassing up and a stored error code - haven't had any further issues since installing the new evap purge valve. I doubt that an evap purge valve could cause it to die while driving.
  4. This is the tape to buy. LLPT Double Sided Foam Tape 1 Inches x 50 Ft Durable Adhesive Weatherproof for Fill Gaps Attach Bond and Mount Uneven Or Textured Surfaces (T004A)

  6. If its got to the point of making the noise you describe, an oil change is unlikely to help. What model, year, AWD, .........? - please add that to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  7. Thanks @Haz One more favor, do you have the part number for those white plastic clips? Edit: I think I found them. 2015-2023 Ford Edge Center Molding Retainer FT4Z-5852118-D | TascaParts.com
  8. With the weather forecast change tomorrow is also a bike day, so I just took it through the car wash and zero leaks. Now just waiting to see if @Haz can help with instructions to remove the trim piece so that I can attach the loose plastic clip, and be done with Safelite for good.
  9. I was able to fish the loose clip out from under the trim and now the trim's curvature matches the windshield.
  10. @Haz please help with a guide to removed the plastic trim mentioned above.
  11. The wipers are removed to lift the plastic trim that runs across the top edge of the bulkhead. I don't see any body damage. For today's install I cannot find any fault with the glass, but notice that the plastic trim between the top edge of the windshield and the moon roof was raised in one spot - I lifted it slightly and could see one of the white nylon clips is loose and obviously not letting the trim go down all the way. I'm going to do a search to see how to lift that trim piece and correct the one clip - will go through the files @Haz posted. Edit: I can't see why they would need to lift this trim piece. Tomorrow's a bike day, so will take it through the car wash on Friday and if its leak free I'm done with Safelite - if there's an issue I'll be in touch with my insurance to see how I can get this job done by another supplier. I do not recommend Safelite.
  12. My third windshield is scheduled for installation at 3pm tomorrow - I'll report back how that goes. The install of the current windshield is good, just that I'm not prepared to live with what appears to be a factory second. Talking of Dicks and lawnmowers - I use my bike for my work commute in good weather and one afternoon I came around a fairly sharp curve to find a SOB had laid a thick bed of grass cuttings on the road - caused some sphincter pucker but got through it safely.

  14. How do you keep the engine compartment looking brand new ?
  15. That's no way to test a battery - get it load tested at a place like AutoZone. Old style trickle chargers are unsafe and high risk of damaging a battery - get a modern battery tender/maintainer.
  16. How did you do that? "seems to be ok" - not sure what's meant by that.
  17. Received the Gen 1 seal today and its not suitable - its real narrow and adhesive on one side only. I got two seals - $16 incl postage. I might try this stuff on eBay. 2mm thick Size: 1” width x 50 feet long x 0.08” thickness https://www.ebay.com/itm/385653375215?hash=item59cabb80ef:g:cUMAAOSwy19keOMS&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4DEhuQlDKAbxIrwh7JZQdqagIdDb3leujxBFXVKr2ZF%2BUar2%2BzLKnAwMWidF9Zb4T55JqPqWbfyAXWOU9vAzCWLA0P0FOppJpmfxliPwS2lqAj4CUGb6UmGYUKQeYAGx6GlFI9dHrc8eaDDASHIiSZLrNYoOK66PlTk67thNusDWoZFUm0%2BFK7OOt5mRAd4Q7j9SgmuiYwkhG04JBcCnYSgvez4HFvGLnskRsawNPdlNm08RItgouR70iBe7YUe0LQFKEGm3QuBK58%2BNhxm3rvwUgw0u7NAcOnTuUuIe2nfw|tkp%3ABk9SR8bJx-uWYg I've stopped the rattle by prying it up a little and sliding in four pieces two inch long of the 3M mounting tape, but will redo the job when I find tape that I'm happy with.
  18. Welcome. Is that a 2.0L or 2.7L ? What was the stored error code? The under boost could be caused by a number of things such as waste gate, waste gate actuator, plugged CAT, ........ so will need further diagnostics.
  19. Welcome. What model - SEL, Sport, 3.5L, ........? What's the mileage? What's the service history, oil change interval? What oil and oil filter used? When you say "I noticed the engine light came back on" - do you mean the Check Engine Light or the Oil Light? 22. Yes, the second warranty replacement windshield is scheduled for installation on 6/21 at 3pm. I've remained cordial with them and they have been very pleasant to deal with. Its really puzzling me how this came to be - I can't imagine the factory would sell "seconds".
  23. What's the mileage? What is the service history? What oil change interval, what oil used, what oil filter used? The camshaft position sensor code is often related to the CVVT oil control valve getting fouled by sludge, or worse a badly worn timing chain. As I mentioned in your previous thread, it looks like you use poor quality service shops and this might be related to your current problem. 24. I thought this windshield saga was behind me - been through the car wash twice and this mornings drive to work in the rain and no leaks. This afternoon while in the drive through line at Jaggers I noticed a distortion in the glass on the lower left corner and when I got home and took a closer look its most definitely a flaw in the glass and there's about a softball sized area that shows signs of buffing. Must be a factory reject. Back on the phone to Safelite in the morning.
