  1. they did claim that, all they did was tweak the already established torque management system. If you load in the HP Tuners suite and load in both base tunes you can literally see its the same thing...... the st has the lincoln timing table and a slightly tweaked TMS.... nothing to really write home about ....
  2. Please compare parts number and post, these claims are not true. And I'm sorry but you are wrong about the tune, it does not work that way....like literally at all. With-in the tune PID the Engine, trans and the like are isolated from the BCM (which houses the driver assist tech). ill bet 500.00, same driver, same course, same day. you make it happen ill show up.
  3. To each their own. there is no more or less torque vectoring in the ST than there is in the sport. someone needs to put same wheels and tires on a sport and ST and set some track times......ill put money on the Sport will come out on top.
  4. literally ordered them out of interest, calipers are the same size and exactly the same and the rotors are the same size difference is the Vane pattern.....
  5. LMS upper management and HR is a crock (dealt with them directly for about 2 months), but make an amazing product. Via HP Tuners its the same damn thing dude..... the engine is a copy / paste. The trans should take about 4 hours of dyno time.
  6. uh 12.2 @ 115.19 while spinning through 1st and 2nd.... And its literally the same engine, the same engine tune applies, different trans tune. to my knowledge no ST has seen a 12 yet. You really are locking horns with the wrong guy, my man. After developing and tuning this platform for 2+ years, i have been around the block a few times and understand what parts and components affect these vehicles the most..... the trans is not it. P.S. - .started out on a stock tune 3 weeks ago and now have a platform record, not to null and void your point.....again.
  7. not trolling, i hold the record, dont see any ST's near it let alone with in a second of it...... and not that for the past 2 years i helped develop performance parts for the platform, your right i must not know a thing ?
  8. I have thoroughly driven both, sport is hands down the better vehicle. also i hope we arent ignoring Motortrend results: the ST on 93 did it in 6.1. which is .1 faster than a sport on 87 and .4 slower than a sport on 93 stock 93 octane ST 1/4- 14.7 stock 93 octane Sport 1/4 - 14.3
  9. have you tried to tune it? the 8 speed is a far weaker transmission than the 6F55. Put the same summer tire combo on the sport and it will out handle the ST. Im sorry but the ST is a down grade in performance wise when compared to the sport with same tire/wheel combo.
  10. This makes me chuckle in all the right places. The ST is heavier, weaker and worse in pretty much every way possible except traction, than the sport
  11. i actually did forget about that! the brushed fan does plenty for us, even on tack duty. Just changed the fan profile.
  12. Our ford edge kept up with a vette the other night........ not smoked....but kept up. we probably dont count tho
  13. the intercooler itself will most likely not net a massive performance gain, what it does do is limit the boost temp range. most i have seen with the UP intercooler is about 155 on a 90 degree day after and 120mph pull.... on stock intercooler you would see north of 205~210. And of course a tune would help you take advantage of the additional head room.
  14. Performance brake option means nothing sadly, just red calipers. I've had the ford parts guy cross reference on multiple occasions.
  15. if you state that you have a stock catback, he will include 2 tapers to match up to the OEM cat back
  16. Hola! The real gain is no longer having the cat temp enrichment issue. But also not having the car there. You really feel it on the top end. Pull harder. I have no solid numbers for you bud as we have changed too much at once to provide accurate numbers
  17. About time you got on ? glad to see akirby got to ya man, Welcome! We have a set of wider wheels/tires if your looking bud. Looking forward to the future discussions.
  18. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your ride! Pics?
  19. Welcome! if you have any questions about performance mods please reference my mod page. its a combined effort of the group to put all the aftermarket parts in one spot. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/24317-the-ultimate-27tt-aftermarket-parts-thread/
  20. Looking good my man! keep it up!
  21. Okay folks, intake is done and i am going into long term testing now. However, initial results are EXTREMELY promising. After 15 min warm-up drive , intake temps at 15+mph are between ambient and +3 degrees. Idling for 5 min with A/C on in 92 degree ambient led to an intake temp of 130, but as soon as you move it cools right back down. Boost temps also reflect the same temp decrease and stay around 10 above ambient above 15 mph. Now the Fun Numbers, each log was done on the same day about 1 hour apart and from 0-130 MPH on the same road in mexico. Stock airbox: Ambient: 77 degrees Start pull at: Intake temp: 102 degrees Boost:111 degrees End pull at: Intake temp:100 degrees Boost temp:149 degrees Max boost: 21.2 Flow: 52.8 lbs Wastegate duty: .116 Custom airbox (No bumper Snorkel): Ambient: 88 degrees Start pull at: intake temp: 93 degrees Boost:105 degrees End pull at: Intake temp:95 degrees Boost temp:151 degrees Max boost: 20.9 Flow: 57.1 lbs Wastegate duty: .215 Gotta figure out why flow jumped so drastically but the change in wastegate duty shows the increase in flow. So overall there is a benefit! Now off to the patent office ?
  22. im assuming your right also, what concerns me is the back of the head light looks VERY different. And already ahead of ya on the duct ;-). Pictures being posted momentarily.
  23. There ya go bud! It's enough to keep fresh air coming in at speed ....we hope.
