  1. Just checking in on how things were progressing. Nice work Xtra!

    ST Sway Bar Size

The 15-18 platform has the ADDCO 1.125" bar, PN 2452. "The ADDCO bar will have two holes, soft and hard setting. Soft will be 36% stiffer that stock and hard is 62% stiffer the bar will be slightly larger than the stock but is solid bar and a stiffer steel". Should work on the 19+ also as the chassis itself has not changed.
  3. The principle with NA cars is to reduce pressure drops along every link in the intake supply chain to help VE into the piston. Colin & Dad showed that with the bigger airbox and extra feed the fuel needed (lbs) increased and the tune was adjusted (90% sure that's correct!) Theory is now the turbos didn't need to work as hard to draw in the air and operated better in the efficiency island, FWIW, that's my take on it. I wish I wasn't overworked and could tinker more with this intake supply with you! ? Those with data logging capability will have to track airbox intake temps to see it it helps. Better would be pressure drop before and after. Anyway, I'm just glad to help the cause!
  4. Hey Xtra, I received mine yesterday and installed this morning. Comments: 1) Hole alignment on the far right hole is off. 2) Hood bumper hole on the right side is also a tad off but did not interfere when push past it. 3) Trimming on the left side was a bit aggressive. 4) The new rivet press pins were still too short, I had to press down on it and only could use one of them, used the old ones with better success in them grabbing. Looks as if they needed to be about 1/4" longer. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks.
  5. Let's add the Ridetech Delrin Lined Sway Bar Mounts to get rid of the squeaks others have experienced with the ADDCO supplied bushings, PN 11009255. Delrin Lined Sway Bar Mounts - Ridetech
  6. Xtra, I just got caught up on all of this, this rocks! I am interested in a black unit. Please send me a PM. Thanks.
  7. Were you able to get the recent FaceBook group buy price 20% off? We won't be getting ours until Oct either!
  8. I grew up in North Syracuse and my wife is from Watertown. We have a cottage in Sackets Harbor. I spent many a Sundays at ESTA growing up as some of my friends had 440 Roadrunners, 383 Superbees, 340 Cuda's! And yes there are no shortage of long flat roads in various surface condition in upper upstate NY! Hopefully someday we all can do a meetup at ESTA. I'm looking forward to giving my friend with a pristine 1970 454 SS a run at ESTA, he can't hookup at all!
  9. 4th post from the bottom of page 1 he states that they are Rotora brakes. See: http://www.rotora.com/street-challenge/ When in doubt always refer to this thread:
  10. snmjim, Since the system has an X pipe and separate resonators, why not just use a Magnaflow resonator with built-in X pipe such as the 12468 (18ā€) or shorter 11386 (14ā€) ? Seems like it would have simplified the fabrication.

    ST Sway Bar Size

Sure it may be "different" but the platform/suspension geometry has not changed. The following is from an Autoweek ST article. It says the rear ASB is hollow, but thicker (vs standard Edge, wish it was compared to the Sport's suspension). "Naturally, the standard Edge suspension is retuned for the ST...Spring rates increase 10 percent in front, and the standard hollow stabilizer bar is replaced with a larger diameter -- and solid -- bar. In back, the standard twin-tube shocks are replaced with mono-tubes. The sway bar (still hollow) is thicker, and spring rates increase 20 percent."

Perhaps the Sport's aftermarket bar will work as from what I read there are no dimensional changes in the platform, just some different components used. Sport's rear bar is 24.7mm, the ADDCO unit is 28.7 mm and has two holes for soft and hard settings. "Soft will be 36% stiffer that stock and hard is 62% stiffer the bar will be slightly larger than the stock but is solid bar and a stiffer steel."
  13. Nick must have been a ball busting mood. That pix he posted was for the Fusion Sport.. https://www.fusionsportforums.com/forum/225-fusion-v6-sport-performance/14130-3-stainless-steel-cat-less-downpipes.html
  14. Well, it states "under development". Don't see why it wouldn't work on the Sport AWD either. I hope its bigger than 2.25" the 2015 FWD MF setup had.

    2.7 EB HPFP

If the FWD/AWD 2.7l platforms got some love in the aftermarket modification department, secondary fuel rail system would probably pop up. But reality is that it is not a popular mod platform/market as compared to the RWD 2.7l market of the F150. It's interesting that Ford didn't bother with the secondary port injection on the 2019 Edge ST that the 2.7l F150 now has. Over on the FB 'Ford Edge Sport - Got Boost?' group, a tuner, Adam Staszak, posted 2 weeks ago stated that the HPFP on all the 2.7l engines are of the same capacity and that the calculations showed it can support E85, on a stock engine at least. Questions are can the tank LPFP support the HPFP at the max flow rates? Are the injector flow rates matched to HFPF to deliver at what is needed max pulse width? I don't think any Sport owner has stepped up yet to get a full E85 tune to confirm it with him.
  16. Xtra, I'm not one that cares all that much for 0-60'(!) or judge strip results, more interested in rolling X to Y, top end, ability to take curves. What was your top end MPH?

    2.7 EB HPFP

Hope this turns into a good discussion! What is needed are flow & PSI data for both sides of the system, including the injectors. Lots of questions to be answered for you guys running FBO + big turbos. I'm excited as by the time I pickup my used Sport next year this should be more advanced. The following is from the Mustang6g EB forum in regards to Vargas' reply on their LPFP for the platform: "TWO PUMPS, one feeding the other. Both have their flow limits, if the feed (LPFP) pump reaches its flow limit before the second pump, then the flow of the second pump is diminished. Fixing the feed pump flow limit does not raise the limit of the second pump, it just allows it to work at its full potential. Once you upgrade the feed pump so it does not run out of the flow, the next thing you run into is the flow limit of the SECOND (HPFP) pump. At that point you upgrade that pump, then run into other bottlenecks, injectors, etc, etc. In order to keep making more power, you need fuel. The LPFP is STEP ONE in removing the bottle necks for a proper flowing fuel system."
  18. What is your build date? There is a TSB, 17-2235, that covers builds from April 2016 to Jan 2017. See if your fits those dates: https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/23919-tsb-17-2235-2730l-oil-consumption-with-dtc-p0524-or-p06dd-rough-idle-misfire-or-white-or-blue-exhaust-smoke-4116-1117/
  19. Figured, had to ask. Need to find a Dynojet and get different set of dyno bragging numbers! Appears that a Dynojet would have you around 405-410 HP.
  20. Nice data set Xtra! Were the numbers raw data or was a "correction factor" used to make them purty!?
  21. Looking forward to your results. Are you planning a non-tuned to full tuned run sequence? How has it been without the tune? down any WOT runs are still holding it back?
  22. Man too bad as I would entertain flying out to LA from FL with my wife to buy your ride and do a cross country road trip!!!
  23. Cool. So when is the dyno session happening?!?
  24. Yeah, looks like this is the unit for the Sport but need to confirm. Their build marries the 6f50 & 55 units, and since the 55 is in the 3.5l SHO it should be able to handle anything the future bring to the 2.7l for modifications if it is appicable! Can't wait until next year when my current Cheby lease expires, prices are coming down on the '16's, found one for 24k with 40k miles by owner recently. Hoping to get one below 20k and have some fun building it.
