Thanks for the replies. All I wanted to know is if it was possible to train 5 tires into the TPMS instead of 4. I'm not looking to monitor spare tire pressure while it is in the storage compartment. It looks like I'll put my full size spare on and train the TPMS. Then I'll replace the spare with the original and see if I have to do another retrain. When I eventually get to it I'll post the results here.

Thanks for the reply but I don't understand it. Buy a second set of what? I have 5 original Ford wheels with TPMS sensors. 4 on the car, 1 for the spare. I was wondering if I could train the system to recognize 5 wheels instead of 4. If I can't then I would have to do a total reset if I got a flat. It only takes a couple of minutes to make the light go off.

I just picked up a wheel to replace my donut spare for my 2010 SE. Is there a way to program the TPMS to accept 5 wheels instead of 4?

New airbag recall, 2009 Lincoln MKX

Did Ford notify you about the recall or did you just make an appointment after reading about it? -

Did you try cleaning the terminals and charging the battery? I have an Exide 36R from 11/17 in my Edge which I test every week with my Topdon and it is always 100% SOH and 98% SOC. It might be because I make a 330 mile round trip almost every week

Why don't you just charge the battery? It probably drained when you had the doors open.

No word from Ford . Last time they went geographically and it took quite a while to get to me. -
You can also try pushing DOWN, and pull handle, then lift up.

The same thing happened to my 2010 SE last year. With the light off, everything was fine. With the light on, no charge from the alternator. Battery SOH = 100%, SOC = 98%. I changed the alternator (PITA) and haven't had a problem since.

What key does it take?
EddieHudson replied to Davein757's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Go here and request a window sticker for your car. It will help you to figure out what you have. https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/63182-window-sticker-requests/&page=74 G ADD KEY (Must have two working original keys): 1. Insert the first previously programmed coded keys into the ignition. 2. Turn the ignition from the 1 (LOCK) position to the 3 (RUN) position. Keep the ignition in the 3 (RUN) position for at least 3 seconds, but no more than 10 seconds. 3. Turn the ignition to the 1 (LOCK) position and remove the first coded key from the ignition. 4. Within 10 seconds of turning the ignition to the 1 (LOCK) position, insert the second previously coded key into the ignition. 5. Turn the ignition from the 1 (LOCK) position to the 3 (RUN) position. Keep the ignition in the 3 (RUN) position for at least 3 seconds, but no more than 10 seconds. 6. Turn the ignition to the 1 (LOCK) position and remove the second coded key from the ignition. 7. Within 20 seconds of turning the ignition to the 1 (LOCK) position and removing the previously programmed coded key, insert the new un-programmed key (new key/valet key) into the ignition. 8. Turn the ignition from the 1 (LOCK) position to the 3 (RUN) position. Keep the ignition in the 3 (RUN) position for at least 6 seconds. 9. Remove the newly programmed coded key from the ignition. If the key has been successfully programmed, it will start the vehicle’s engine and will operate the remote entry system (if the new key is an Integrated Keyhead Transmitter). The theft indicator light will illuminate for 3 seconds and then go out to indicate successful programming. If the key was not successfully programmed, it will not start your vehicle’s engine and/or will not operate the remote entry features. The theft indicator light may flash on and off. Wait 20 seconds and you may repeat Steps 1 through 8. If the failure repeats, bring your vehicle to your authorized dealer to have the new key(s) programmed. To program additional new un-programmed key(s), wait 20 seconds and then repeat this procedure from Step 1. ADD KEY (Must have two working integrated keys): 1. Insert first working integrated key into the ignition switch and turn the ignition switch to the ON position for at least 3 seconds, but no longer than 15 seconds. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the first key. 2. Insert the second working integrated key and turn the ignition switch to the ON position within 15 seconds. After 10 seconds, a chime will sound and the Vehicle Security Alarm Indicator Light will begin to flash. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the second key. 3. Insert a blank integrated key into the ignition switch and turn the ignition switch to the ON position within 60 seconds. After 10 seconds, a single chime will sound and the Vehicle Security Alarm Indicator Light will stop flashing. Turn on again for 3 seconds and then turn off. The new integrated key is programmed. The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter will also be programmed during this procedure. Repeat this procedure to program up to 8 keys. 9 O MOD Edit: The wall of text makes for an impossible read, especially something like this. -

If your old key is stamped "HA", then you can also use a "SA". Do your new keys start the car? The procedure for programming the fobs is in the owners manual. -
advancetrac warning - car won't move in any gear

Did you check the transmission fluid? -
Did you try swapping out the relay or try starting the car after you added the jumper wire?

Buy a scanner and read the codes (if any) before you shut off and restart. Give the codes to the dealer.

Go to NAPA with the door panel still off. Tell them what you need and they'll match it up.
