tamugrad2013
So I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it appears that after upgrading my iPhone 6s to iOS 9.2 every time I activate Siri through the voice command button it just automatically changes the source to bluetooth streaming. This appears to be an iPhone problem and not a Sync problem. I know people on the Escape forum are experiencing the same issues since updating their phone. It also appears to be an issue on Chevy's as well. I just wanted to let you know and hopefully Apple will find a fix quickly because I am really enjoying the eye's free function. Thanks for confirming this. It did it today for the second time and I wasn't sure what had gone wrong.

knickerbocker
Hopefully Apple comes out with a fix soon. There is usually a change freeze during the holidays, though, so I don't anticipate anything until the new year. Those of us waiting for 2016 Edges can breathe a sigh of relief as the issue does not seem to occur with Sync 3 (yet).

normcloutier
I have also noticed that occasionally when pressing the mic button to start dictation in a text or email, MFT will switch to Bluetooth audio. Doesn't happen all the time, maybe 20 to 30% of the time.
Chris Weber
Same thing is happening on my 2 vehicles. 2014 Ford Explorer XLT with Sync (lastest software upgrade in Oct 2015) 2013 Ford F-150 Platinum with Sync (lastest software upgrade in Oct 2015)
bce
Saw that Apple released 9.2.1 to developers yesterday. Hope it's fixed in that.
tpm419419
I just downloaded Apple IOS 9.2.1 beta update. Tthis does resolve the Siri eyes not working. I installed the public beta but it should be available to everyone shortly

tamugrad2013
I have just read that they will be releasing iOS 9.3 in February and that it is also being Beta Tested. If anyone is Beta testing that one I would love to here yall's outcome.

If anyone is Beta testing that one I would love to here yall's outcome. I have the beta 9.3 IOS software running on my iPhone 6 and it does NOT resolve the issue. Additionally this is a problem on GM vehicles as well. I tried it in my wife's 2014 Chevy Equinox and it will not work. Chevy had Siri eyes much longer than Ford did. Hopefully future beta releases will solve it.
Tacyon
I had posted a section in a thread about some oddities with Siri Eyes free over here. TL:DR You can text just fine, but as soon as you ask for Pandora or other 3rd party apps, you can no longer text via voice cmd. Siri gets all up in your face with "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid you're driving" I have noticed tho that you can text again after trying a 3rd party within the same connection session. By that I mean that when you press and hold to access Siri, if you (normal) press again before the "Siri" indicator on the center screen goes away, that is the same session and you're able to text via voice. If the "Siri" goes away and you have to long press to get it back, that is a new session and for the 9.2, I was denied access to text by voice. and most other functions. (BTW, this was while parked in my driveway at home!)

(BTW, this was while parked in my driveway at home!) Tacyon, just what version of IOS are you running? Is it earlier than 9.2? With 9.2 or later beta versions you cannot do anything unless it is with a wired connection. It may work fine a single time after a repairing of your phone but nothing after that
tpm419419
Also just to clarify. This problem with IOS 9.2 or later is not just Ford but at least GM as well. Something Apple needs to address
tpm419419
iOS 9.2.1 is available to everyone today. Anyone try it yet? I'm on 9.3 beta
normcloutier
Same issue on 9.2.1 Activating Siri will connect and work the first time (sometimes) but subsequent attempts connects to Bluetooth audio stream.
joesworld
It's a Ford glitch -- iOS can't change the car's input selection by itself. Here's hoping Ford fixes it quickly!
tpm419419
It's an IOS glitch. Happening in GM cars also
tamugrad2013
I updated my phone to 9.2.1 Friday Night and I have used Siri Eyes Free two days about 7 times to test it out and it has worked flawlessly. I do not know if it has been just a 7 time trial fluke, but I will continue to test it out this week. tpm419419
Ok. The public beta for IOS 9.3.2 is out and RESOLVES the Siri issue. IT'S FIXED!! Those not in the beta program can expect the 9.3 update by March I gave Siri several commands and went back to my Sirius XM station every time Edited January 27, 2016 by tpm419419
