Sharry Posted May 15, 2022 Report Share Posted May 15, 2022 I have been trying to find Ford Sync Navigation SD Card for middle east of Saudi arabia but I just could not. I bought a 2 year old user Ford Edge from the dealership and the Navigation SD card was missig. The dealership is not helpful at all and I tried to reach the distributor but they said that you would have to change the entire Sync system just to get the maps working I checked my Sync device and all it says is "Insert Navigation SD Card" Can anyone help me find the Navigation SD card or its image from the internet or the Ford itself? ben senise Posted May 15, 2022 Report Share Posted May 15, 2022 your edge should be able to run android auto off of an android phone plugged into the USB port. I'm not familiar with Apple Car Play but i would guess it's similar. Google maps is infinitely better than the built-in navigation. I moved here to Saudi Arabia four years back and bought this beautiful car. However, unfortunately, there are no maps or map SD card in it. The GPS in it works as it tells the exact coordinates, so I think if I am able to get the maps for my region then the Navigation will work as well. I check the dealership and they just said that you have to change the whole Sync panel to get the map working but I don't think it's necessary as I just need the Map SD card. They are one of the largest map suppliers in the world and had definitely mapped Arabia. However, I don't think they made maps for the Ford Sync system, for other than the North American market. (Ford specified the format and Here supplied). You could contact them directly and ask. (Perhaps they might know of a foreign supplier that has)?
