Just about every car I have owned, has had the washer "squirters" on the hood, never a problem, and the antenna is what it is. The gas door is nnot lockable, but you can get a locking gas cap form it, if that's a concern with you. The plastic tube they have to fill it by a gas can should be no problem, especially if you don't run out of gas. With the new design on the gas tube, you cannot siphon gas out of these new cars, or dump shit into them.

Sounds good to me, are you thinking FWD or AWD? Have AWD on my MKX, waiting for snow to go out and "play" in it. Last year, the only snow we got in Jersey was before Halloween, never got any since I got the "X", want snow soon. If you go Ecoboost, you can only get it in FWD.

Have a MKX, love it to death. Yes, there were issues with My Ford Touch, in early production, updates have corrected the issues. My MKX has My Lincoln Touch, same as MFT, had a update about a month ago, some new features, and is great !

Looks great, might nhold off until springtime do get the mouldings - warmer weather.

Might be hung up. Try disconnecting the batterry, wait 30 seconds or so, and reconnect. Should clear it for you.

Sat in my MKX for 5 minutes, screen was like your 1st pic, showed that accessory active. I hit the start button 2 more times, to shut down, and it looked like your second picture, then got out of my car.

I had a problem with one of our openers (an older one), called the help number listed in the owners manual, and they walked me through the procedure. Seeing it was an older one, I had to hold a button down for a longer period of time, don't remember when, or which button. I know with my MKX, it will be in darkened mode when you start the car with the remote starter. Once you put your foot on the brake, and hit the start button on the dashboard, it fully lights up. Hope that this helps you.

Since they are easily cleanable, pick a color close to your carpet color.

Hey Tony, My MKX had a couple minor issues when new, now with 2 updates, things a pretty sweet. If you go for the Edge, I would reccomend going with an extended warranty, like 7 year. 100,000 miles. Go with a Ford Premium Care, DO NOT go with an outside company. My sister in law went with an outside company a few years ago, on a Ford Five Hundred, and it was worth squat.

They fit just fine, can be a bit stiff, but do contain winters mess for the cuff of your pants to get wet in. I buy aftermarket thick carpeted mats at the auto store, put on top of the manufacturers mat, and they soak up water, keeping pants dry.

Got my 3.5 update this week, all is fine. One thing I did notice, is that now when you enter a persons name in the address book. There s a "space bar" so now you can have a space between the persons first and last name ! Glad to see this change.

I don't know if it only activates if the temp is below freezing, I would check with your dealership on this problem.

I'll have to go to my dealership, and check out a Escape with this option. I might be wrong, but I don't think leaves would activate the hatch opening, or a neighbors cat. My neighbors cat see's me, and runs like hell, so I think the possibility of being near the car with perimiter keys on you, and a cat going underneath are pretty slim. I don't think Ford would do something without doing a lot of research on possibilities of the hatch opening.

From what I've read, many are happy with the Ecoboost, didn't have the option with my MKX. N E Ohio, are you anywhere near Burton?, have a good friend out there.

It will turn on with remote start, only if it is enabled, using settings on the left side instrument cluster. Check out your owners manualm on this.

Hey Bob, Congrat's on your new Edge, and welcome to the forum, it's a pretty cool place to hang out, and get some tips on things. Everything you mentioned on doing with your Edge sounds good to me. Sorry about your Sport Trac, a real bummer. I had three Explorers before my MKX, a '95, a '02, and a '06. Great trucks, but decided to downsize a bit, and very happy with the "X". Got my update today with new nav card. Phones paired easily, so far all ok. Had my 2nd oil change/tire rotation, so they did the update, too.
