Congrats on your new Edge, Compared to the Freestyle, you're really gonna luv it. Gas mileage, as you have indicated, is decent, and just a fun vehicle to drive. You'll have to let us know what color it is, and if any additional options? Remember, Winter, just like Christmas, is just around the corner, so get a good coat of wax or sealer on it.

Just went down the basement to "sniff my Phenoseal". It does have a slight odor, but nothing that wouldn't go away in probably a few days. Have used it in the bathroom when putting in new shower doors, and have never had any lingering odors. Got it in a 5.5 oz plastic squeeze tube. No need to buy a large one like you would use in a caulking gun. It has many uses, have even considered using it on the sister-in-laws mouth ! ( hee-hee ) :hysterical2:
-
All that I can suggest is to either pull fuse 29, or disconnect the battery for 30 seconds or so, see what happens.
-
How about buying a small tube of Phenoseal vinyl adhesive caulk. You cut the plastic tip off, to produce what size hole (opening) that you want, and run a small ring around the entire piece. If it doesn't work, you can peel it off. I know that Home Depot carries the stuff, you'll find it in the paint department.

Not sure what kind od Dr he is, might be a proctologist, claims he deals with a lot of a$$ holes ! :hysterical2: ue True, it's not cheap, and does take many applications, but in my opinion, looks better than a "glob"

Glad that you got your thingy removed, and your bulb replaced. Now you hae some good light on the subject ! :hysterical2:

fold flat passenger seat gone!!!!!
JOEHIO replied to Edgieguy's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I don't think that the fold flat seat was a management decision or customer survey. I'd have to check with our salesman, but I think that it is an availability with a 6 way power seat, b ut not on a 8 way power. -
Whadda ya gonna do !

fold flat passenger seat gone!!!!!
JOEHIO replied to Edgieguy's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Do you have a 6 way or 8 way power passenger seat ? Possibly, fold flat IS available on 6 way, but not on 8 way. My MKX has 10 way on driver & passenger seats, and my passenger DOES NOT have the fold flat feture. Sure wish it did. -
Rear view camera guidelines are missing
JOEHIO replied to ciggy's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
My guidelines are still there after the update, I would try disconnecting the battery, wait 30 seconds, reconnect, and see if it corrects the problem. -
I guess we all have stories on stupid things we have done over the years.

Check with your owners manual, there should be a section on bulb replacement. Not certain, but the assembly probably pulls out from the backside, you will have to get to it from behind the bumper, then just replace the bulb. Joe

fold flat passenger seat gone!!!!!
JOEHIO replied to Edgieguy's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
My wife had that function when she had a Ford Five Hundred years ago. When she got her MKS, and realized that she no longer had it, she asked me "what kind of piece of crap did you get me"? Too bad they couldn't incorporate it in a multi position power seat. Her Five Hundred only had 2 way power on the passenger side. -
Drivers side spotlight. do you mean foglight, puddle lamp? Check your owners manual.

Things happen, what can you do. No one was hurt, that's what matters the most. Years ago, I had to go into work super early, to set up for an I.T. class I was giving. Well, the night before, for some reason, my wife parked on my side of the garage, so I took her side. The next morning, I went into the garage, was still half asleep ( 5:30 am ), hit the button for my door, and got into my car that was parked on HER side. Started the car, forgot the door on my side opened, not her side where my car was parked, and backed part way through the door. Now that was really a dumb ass move on my part, but that's how stupid things happen. Hope my story makes you feel better, we all make dumb mistakes. Joe

You might not have to pull the wheels. To do the right one, with the car running, turn the steering wheel to the right as far as it will go, and shut off the engine. The back end of the wheel will be toward the middle of the car, might buy you enough room to work, maybe it won't. Just a thought.

Hey Gil, Welcome aboard, and congrats on your new Edge, It will take some time, but you'll get use to modern technology. Had a '60 Falcon, did ya? I was still a kid, back in '62, my dad bought a new Falcon station wagon. It was the Custom, one notch below the Falson Squire wagon. Couldn't kill the sucker. I don't know how many people do their own oil changes today. Now you can go 7,500 between changes, I get changes ever 5,000. My dealer does oil & filter, rotates tires, and 32 multi-point inspection for $39.95, and sometimes runs a special for $29.95 with a coupon.

Door Handle Sensors Not Responding
JOEHIO replied to Cellbine's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
At this point, I would be good and ticked off, probably more like pissedm off! Next time it happens, go right to the dealer, don't shut the car off or anything, and DEMAND that they look at it immediately, not hours or a day later. Back in '93, I had a problem with the brakes on my SHO, dealer couldn't replicate the problem, so next time it happened, I went right back down to them and told them that if they didn't get right on it, I was going to drive off, and come back in and crash into their nice glass entryway. Boy, shook them up a bit, bbut they did get right to the car.- 10 replies

Ordered Dr Color Chip for my wife's cinnamon MKS, got it in the mail yesterday. I have to admit, it works pretty darn good. You dab a bit of paint on the spot (perfect color match), smear it with your thumb (glove provides),wait at least 2 minutes (I waited 5), and wipe excess off with the sealact solution provided, and then buff with provided cloth. It will take at least 2-3 coats of paint, but it filled in the chips nicely. She had a few chips on the front bumper, about 6 or 7 on the hood, and even one on the roof. I swear, I think she drives behind trucks filled with small rocks. In m opinion, it looks better than using brush on paint from the dealer, and you don't get that glob of paint look. Not cheap, but well worth it, as far as I'm concerned. :hyper:

Silver interior door handle molding? (Pics of 3D Noc Carbon)

Suede might be tough to keep clean, plus it will probably marl up easily. Just my opinion.
