Haven't heard of this happening before, I would try calling a regional rep on this.

Great video, pics of your travels, and the Allman Brothers Band.

Man, your Edge really is looking great. Enjoy it, and "wags" to the doggies.

If you drive conservatively. you can get pretty darn good mpg's, especially if using cruise control on expressways. I see that you are from Pa, and that is one of the times that my mileage really drops-heading into the "coal regions", up near Frackville & Mahonoy City area's.

Good tip to keep tires properly inflated. I found out keeping my MKX at 65, mpg's are great, anything above that kills me.

Forum member ladybird4 posted in section 'My Ford Touch new software release', that the new release has not been made public yet. Beside the update, you will also get a new SD card if you have nav in your car, so this release must have more than what is in the link that factor99 posted. I will have to check this out at my dealerships service dept. Anyone else have more on this?

New My Ford Touch Software Released
JOEHIO replied to mmcclure's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Hi Ladybird4 Now that you've posted this, it is public info, but don't worry, my lips are sealed. Are you able to tell us what some of the changes/improvements are? Thanks, Joe -
Programming a push button Key fob thingie
JOEHIO replied to mjbaker84's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
If they only gave you one 'thing-of-a-ma-gig' (key) I would go back to them and have them reimburse you for the one you bought, and program it too. You should always get 2 sets when you buy a car. Maybe you should give your salesperson a kick in the arse ! -
I can't i,agine that Ford would not include an indicator light. How the heck can you see what gear you are in. Me thinks that a bulb burnt out, and has to be replaced.

Sweet looking ride. The best with it, and welcome to the forum. Remember, you have an "Edge" over other drivers !
-
Did you get Ford splaash guards, or just an after market brand? R we going to Everlast?, I'm ready whenever you are.
-
Upon turning off the car, it should go in, and up, for easy exit, and when you start the car, it should go back to the "saved" position, depending which driver (fob) is being used. If not, you could go back to the dealer, or try disconnecting the battery for a minute, reconnecting, thus rebooting the system.

Happy to hear that you are enjoying your Edge. A friend of mine has a Lexus RX350, he was suprised all that my MKX offered, compared to his RX.

New member trying to stay with Ford (at least my wife is...)
JOEHIO replied to tourproto's topic in Welcome Forum!
Hey Dave, Owning a '12 MKX, I wouldn't say that MyFordTouch has had a few problems, maybe 3 or 4 minor issues in the 11 months that I have had the vehicle, but nothing major. Just had a upgrade a few months ago, everything has performed flawlessly since. Concerning extended service plans, if you are talking about extended warranties, I would get it regardless if it isa American, Korean, Japanese, whatever, way too much electronics in today's cars. Truely love my MKX, which is just a heavily optioned out Edge. even my wife thinks that it's a great car to drive, and normally, a car doesn't have much influence on her. I've always owned & driven American cars (mostly Ford products), had 1 Honda Accord, and am happy that I support AMERICAN MADE ! Joe -
Wow, that is kind of low. When I first got my MKX, around town was getting 14.8 - 16.1. Now that it has 9,000 miles in it, I am getting 16.5 - mid 17's, and if I baby it, I can make 18. Highway is around high 24's, even managed 26 taking it easy, using cruise at times. Give it "break in" time, things will improve.

How to program garage door opener?
JOEHIO replied to Joe Todor's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Like choff1138 posted, check your index in the back of the users manual, it's under Homelink. -
Have the Pirelli's on my MKX, and really cannot comment on traction in snow, as last winter, here in New Jersey, we only had 1 storm, and that was right before halloween. Why not check with one of your local tire stores?, they might give some good advice.

The Limited will give you some "goodies" that the Sport won't, but you have to admit, the Sport is tough looking, kind of makes you wet your pants !
-
Looking sweet, enjoy your Edge, and wax it up good before winter, Colinite very sweet !

Congrat's on your "Bonus cash". Good job ! Joe

I know this forum is for Edge's & MKX's (which I have), but had to share today's experience. Went out tire shopping for my wife's '09 MKS, which has 46,000 miles on it, as tires are getting close to the tread wear indicator, and want to put on new rubber before winter sets in. Went to 2 local shops, one being a Goodyear, and got prices of $249.95 & $251.00, which included mount & balance, and road hazard, but NOT sales tax. They also want $1.50 per tire for some extra charge here in New Jersey. Four tires would be $1,076 including tax. I then went to our dealership (Maplecrest in Union, NJ), and they are putting 4 Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires on,(which came on the car) and with balancing, Lifetime road hazard, AND a front alignment (which other 2 stores were not including) and sales tax for $1,076. Can't complain with this, had to share the info. Sometimes the dealer CAN do better with prices. Yes, I know that I can go to Tirerack, but if problems, you have to ship it back, and until you get another tire from them, you're riding your spare. Thank you Maplecrest, once again, you exceeded my needs ! Joe

Hey Mike, Welcome aboard, and congrat's on your new Edge. Must look real sharp in that color. You'll have to give more feedback after you have it for a few weeks, and if you did any mod's to it.
