  1. I only have 20 inches, and thank god, have not had any problems with leakage. I really like the "Sport look alike" wheel that is now available for the MKX, was thinking about switching over next spring, but maybe I'll stay with what I have.
  2. Sheeeeeeeeet, what a fiasco, sorry to see the mess you've gone through. Maybe they will give a partial refund for all of your trouble.
  3. Not to worry, the 3rd time will be a charmer. Did they try rotating tires, front to back, and vice versa? If this is done, and vibration is a lot less, probably bad rims.
  4. Yeah, they are out quite a bit, I would definately have the dealership work on it. Do you know what their plan of attack is - new strips, or will this be "exploratory" surgery ?
  5. I don't know about the Edge, but years ago, I had an Explorer. and the HVAC lights died, no bulb replacement, had the control unit replaced, kind of expensive, if memory serves me right.
  6. Looking forward to seeing some pics. Send some of that weather over to New Jersey. Actually, today wasn't that bad, in the 60's. Enjoy the new ride, and welcome to the forum. Joe
  7. What are they talking about.........................a rotational matter, Rotate what? If you have another dealer nearby, I would consider trying them, or even a independent garage that you can trust.
  8. My wife's '09 MKS had a groaning sound when stopping, too. Took it to our dealership, and there were 2 seperate TSB's for the front and rear, I don't know what the numbers are, but they put new pads and rotors on the front, and for the rear, new pads and cut the rotors. This was done at NO COST to us, and the car had almost 46,000 miles on it at that time. No more groaning, I'm now a happy camper. Possibly there are tsb's out for the Edge, too.
  9. Hey Mark, Congradulations on your Edge, the color combo sounds great, and welcome to the forum. If you have any questions, forum members will be glad to help out. Yes, the Edge's (& MKX's) are awesome vehicles, and try and sneak it away from your wife once in a while, even if you have to buy her flowers.
  10. Okay, so you're not that far away. Should try and get a group meet going. Either you have a heavier foot then your wife, or she weighs a lot less than you, resulting in better mpg's !
  11. Check with Sylvania SilverStars, I think they have one for the Edge.
  12. Thanks for the tip, amazing what a "lazy" battery can go. Ya have to remember, today is the world of electronics, everyone (and thing) need a full charge. :hyper:
  13. Lookin good. Might consider it for my MKX. See if the wife would like it for entry/exit. At 6' 3", I have no problem.
  14. Congrats on your Edge, and welcome aboard. It's a great place to spend some time. Don't be dissapointed with your mpg's. Takes time for break-in. I have 8,500 miles on my MKX, figures getting better and better. Where are you in Jersey, I'm over in Garwood (Union County). Joe
  15. Looking sweet, nice 'added' touch to your Edge.
  16. Congrat's on your Edge, and mpg's will increase as you put on some miles. My MKX (3.7) has 8,500 miles on it, and mileage is getting better and better. If I set the cruise at 65, I can easily get 24.1 +, so this makes me a happy camper.
  17. And just another welcome from a "Jersey guy", and enjoy your new ride.
  18. Welcome aboard, and welcome to the forum. You'll get many good idea's and advice from the members. Enjoy your Edge.
  19. Just what I was going to suggest, before reading ablb's post. Try and get them for a MKX, I'm sure that they will fit.
  20. CAll me, I'm ready to help you with the wifes Ex, don't want to make her an "ex" :hysterical2: Give me a shout.
  21. Hope they do a good job, and you are satisfied with the results.
  22. HEy Edgieguy, smart thing to do for your Edge & Explorer. Glad to see, that you, too, were satisfied with it. Members do have to realize that for some chips, it might take 3-4 applications for optimum results.
  23. I've uploaded, or I should say, had the dealer do it, all has been fine since. Temp back on screen, backup camera screen also has black line in the middle.
  24. Is the dealer springing for the repair, or are you going to have to pay for it ? I understand that the repair can get pricy. Might as well get the coolant flushed and replaced. I've had coolant flushes on our cars every 60,000 miles, and one Explorer I had, I sold to friends for their daughter with 150K on it, she sold it when it had around 235K, original radiator, 1 water pump replacement.
  25. Well, I guess I know what Im have in store for me, I better get busy. Your Sport looks awesome, unbelieveable beading.
