  1. If it is not a minor adjustment I may just put a length of foam backer rod under the seal to prop it up slightly.
  2. I would of thought that they might be pre-painted. I had a jeep where the mirror was damaged - They came pre-painted.
  3. As I was preparing my 2011 Edge LTD for winter one of the things I do is to apply silicone to all the weatherstrip seals. I noticed the seal that runs between the front moon roof panel and the rear fixed glass has a gap of about 1/8 of an inch at some spots. It almost appears that the moon roof portion is adjusted slightly too high along the seal or the fixed roof portion is slightly too low. I checked some 2013's at the dealer lot and they all appear to be sealed properly. So far no leaks but I want to avoid any future problem with either water or wind noise intrusion Anyone else have this issue? Can it be adjusted? is it normal?
  4. Did they put the correct viscosity of oil in?
  5. The bump in HP is for the 2011 model year - Somewhere in the Ford announcement for the 2011s should include the changes to the engine.
  6. We have an '11 Limited that is loaded and love it!
  7. I have a 2011 Edge AWD built in March of 2011 with 13K miles. So far no issues like described above. Actually we really like the Edge!
  8. My guess is it would be cost prohibitive to add those features.
  9. I suspect the revised moldings on the EcoBoost may be related to aerodynamics than functionality. Also notice the revision on the trim in front of the front tire. Again probably for aerodynamic reasons. There was a big push to deliver 30MPG for the EcoBoost which is why it was delayed 1 year (i read that somewhere). If you look up the initial announcement of the 2011 model the ECOBoost is included.
  10. I would guess 50 0r 100K if ever.
  11. 2011 and up have a different breaking system. Rear rotors are much larger and the booster and calipers are revised. Since the AWD spec has a larger swept area for the front i suspect the front pads are slightly larger (at least from Ford)
  12. Do not apply anything to the bolts. It will screw up the torque.. You can add some grease where the wheels meet the rotor hat to avoid any corosion. Sometimes the wheel will stick.
  13. I've averager as high as 29 MPG on my 2011 LTD 3.5 AWD on flat highway driving keeping it around 60 MPH.
  14. My 2011 had a similar problem - Got a new PS pump per TSB
  15. AWD vehicles show a larger swept area on the front brakes 63.1 Vs 69.79. So something is different when you have AWD.
  16. I've had real good luck with RockAuto. I live near Chicago also. Usually get them next day. I use the Raybestos with very good luck.
  17. I have a 2011 LTD with Sync and the electronic IP cluster. When the vehicle is pointed north the compass reads "NE". Per the owners manual, the standard IP cluster has a way to recalibrate but the one I have does not have the same manu selections. Any ideas?
  18. Sometimes the stains are due to acid rain which is very difficult to remove since it is etched into the clear coat.
  19. Look for better MPG for the next generation (2014 MY). The plan is 4 bangers only and possibly a 8 speed trans. As for my 2011 Edge LTD AWD, I've hit 29 MPG on some trips and usually 17 around town. Not bad for a 2 ton plus vehicle.
  20. I use Raybestos parts (their best rotors) and the matching ceramic pads on my Wrangler which is prone to warping OEM rotors with great success. Go to Rock Auto's site.
  21. See my comment and provided link on 9/18
  22. I also have a lot of chips in mine. They look difficult to replace. Probably need to pull the entire nose off. I think the entire front-end especially the hood are prone to chips.
