Does your current visor have a lighted vanity mirror?
-
It wasn't available in the states either.

are interior feet lights always supposed to stay on?

All manuals are available online at www.motorcraftservice.com or owner.ford.com. -
It's not marketing. If it was marketing they would never have put it in the order guide. There was some technical or supplier issue that caused it to be delayed.

It's a conspiracy........

Yes - it's called ambient lighting. The controls vary by vehicle but the owner's manual will show you how to turn them off. -
You can also retrofit any visor homelink module from any vehicle. The only tricky part is getting the fabric off and back on in one piece. You can power it from the vanity mirror wiring. And you may need to dremel out a hole for it although I think the newer visors have the space molded in already. I paid $37 for mine several years ago for my 06 Fusion. It was a Maxima visor.

Had fuel tank replaced once (not filling up all the way) and needs another one to fix a knocking sound when full of fuel. A trim piece on the door had to be glued back on. I have an intermittent buzz from the climate control system interior temp sensor, a steering recall still waiting for parts and something else - I forgot. Don't get me wrong - I knew that was likely when I bought it in February off the lot but decided I didn't want to wait any longer and I don't regret that decision. The problems are just nitpicks - I still love it.

Those early builds are stock dealer orders so they're shipped out and end up on dealer lots. And yes, in some cases they have issues like my 2013 fusion. But I don't expect those types of problems with the 2016 edge because it's not a new design or platform and except for sync 3 is virtually the same as the 2015. Once they reach the ok to buy I think the line is at full speed. Not sure about before that.

Should be a tube extending down near the firewall on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

If job 1 is 12/2 I wouldn't realistically expect your vehicle to be built until sometime in January for a February delivery. Any delays in OK to buy or individual delays on your specific vehicle would push that out to March or later.

No. Job 1 is the first version of production vehicles. They build them, inspect them and hold them at the plant until they build with no errors for 5 consecutive days. This could take anywhere from a couple weeks to a month or longer. No customer orders are built during this time because some vehicles end up sitting at the plant for weeks waiting on inspection and repairs. Once the 5 days are up they give the OK to buy and they start shipping vehicles directly off the assembly line. At that point customer orders begin to be scheduled and built. The early builds are inspected, repaired if necessary and shipped. Job 2 (and 3 and 4, etc.) comes later if they make a change in how the vehicles are built - usually they add a feature but they can also remove features, change prices, make other modifications, etc. It's just a version number for the factory to keep track.

I've found that speaking faster works better than speaking slowly. -

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
akirby replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
How? Is it a pre-production prototype? The 2016s don't go into production until December. -
Production start is not 10/22 - that's when scheduling begins. Job 1 is 12/2.
-
Not yet - should be any day now though.
-
Most likely. Try A/C on high - both fans should come on regardless of temp.

I wasn't telling you how to drive - I was stating a simple fact that you already know but others don't. How many 4WD and AWD vehicles do you see off the road in heavy snow/ice? People think AWD/4WD allows them to drive normally in any condition and it doesn't. It keeps you from being stuck and gets you going but it doesn't help you stop any faster or negotiate turns.
