Jackie - you don't have rain sensing wipers with the 301A package. You should just have regular intermittent wipers. Test it by putting them in the first position then spraying the windshield with water.

2015 Edge - First Year Model Problems?
akirby replied to alzakx's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Didn't realize this was a 2015. Take it to the dealer and let them worry about it. They can reload the software and replace the APIM if necessary.- 37 replies

Make sure the software is up to date. If it is then the APIM is probably bad.- 37 replies

Disappointed with communication
akirby replied to Etienne Bégin's topic in Dealership & Vendor Experiences
I was referring to the lack of dealer info on the 51D problems. But if you're talking about how dealers get allocation from the factory, it works like this. The dealer submits orders with a priority. 1-10 are reserved for Ford and only used for special circumstances. Retail orders (sold) are supposed to be 11-20 and dealer stock is 21-99 (might be off by one). Every week Ford decides how many vehicles they're going to build and they allocate that to dealers based on how many they've sold before and other factors. So let's say dealer X gets 4 vehicles. The 4 vehicles in the dealer's queue with the lowest priority will get built that week. If there are more than 4 at the same priority then they're taken in order of the date the order was placed (I think). This means a retail order will always be built before a stock order provided the dealer put in the priority correctly. The dealer can also prioritize between customers by assigning different priorities but that's up to them (e.g. you get 11, I get 14). But if a vehicle can't be built due to a material hold or unavailable option then it doesn't even come up for scheduling within a dealer's allocation. The vehicle must be buildable before it gets scheduled. -
Disappointed with communication

That's the frustrating part - this happens over and over and Ford gets blamed when it's not their fault. -
That translates to around $15K profit per F150. But they didn't say if it was net or gross profit.

The warnings were not successful. Additional off topic posts have been hidden and the offender has received an all expense paid vacation from the forum. PLEASE keep your replies on topic!

Only price I remember was diesel at €1.40 / L.

If Ford wanted to publish that info they would have done it already. These are customer service reps, not mechanics or Engineers. Calm down and confine your whining to your thread.

Finally watched it. Cruise ship wifi was not video friendly. I missed 243 minutes of Russian car crashes the last 2 weeks.

Worth every penny.

Pretty sure you'd have to pay them to take it and the dealer another 15%. Beautiful day in Barcelona BTW.

It's possible the notifications to Canadian dealers were delayed. But I doubt it.

Try going slower and aim your foot just behind the bumper a few inches not all the way under.

16 - that's probably the latch to hold the cover out of the way while you remove the spare. See if it hooks onto something.

The only delays are well documented to the dealers in their weekly reports. If the dealers don't read them or communicate them to their customers that's unfortunate but not sure what else Ford can do. Customers don't order Ford vehicles - the dealers do.

They'll announce the end of 2015 orders and job 1 for 2016s soon. My guess would be Aug/sep for last 2015 order and October/november for 2016 job 1

Apparently they had to redesign a whole new tank and get it manufactured. I don't think they have any choice on the new tanks. But they should do more to help customers replace theirs.

2015 Edge Sport interior
akirby replied to Wedgeamatic's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
My Fusion is black after several beige/light grey interiors. Much prefer black. Ford did the same with fusion titaniums for 2013 - only available with black interiors the first year or two. -
