  1. There are tweeters in the door next to the handle. There is usually a crossover built into the mid bass driver that sends the lows to the tweeter. I don't think adding a coax speaker will help much since you already have a separate tweeter and you'd have to add a crossover. If you want to upgrade get a better component set.
  2. You can probably install a hitch - you'll just lose some of the range on the foot operated liftgate sensor. That's what I did on our Escape for a bike rack.
  3. I see it now. I guess the 3.0 isn't ready yet.
  4. I can't find the picture you posted on the Lincoln website. I don't think they've announced the engines yet. I was expecting a 3.0L EB.
  5. It's a preview - most of the 2016 order guides aren't even out yet. He's saying they're putting it in the 2016 Edge but not the new 2016 MKX. I think we'll need to wait and see.
  6. Release dates are different. 2016 edge is later
  7. On my Fusion I leave the right hand screen on climate control so you only have to use the up or down buttons on the D-pad. It isn't really useful for much else most of the time.
  8. Why not use the right hand screen with the steering wheel controls instead?
  9. It's been mentioned a few times. I don't have that problem at all in my 2013 Fusion but I think the systems are different.
  10. I would expect it to show up as a job 2 (or 3) for the other 2016 models.
  11. Sounds like they just cleaned it and never replaced it.
  12. Of course not. 3K miles is a joke with regular oil now, much less synthetic.
  13. Exactly. Only use less than 100% if you want to shorten the interval or if you forgot to reset it when the oil was changed.
  14. I was talking about the sensor on the vehicle that reads the TPMS in each wheel.
  15. Or maybe the vehicle sensor is bad.
  16. It's not linked from the ford.com website, nor has Ford officially advertised it. Somebody stumbled on it and it's been distributed by word of mouth. If it was official it would at least be linked from the ford.com website. I agree that it should say BETA or DRAFT or something on the website. I agree it's confusing and it's not good for business. But I doubt that more than a few people even know about it considering most people don't read these types of forums. And yes, I agree that something like this is desperately needed. Being in IT myself I suspect that the back end systems and interfaces required to supply the information in a customer friendly format and for all vehicles aren't in place yet or are still being tested.
  17. Where did Ford ever advertise that website to the public? From a FordService rep back in January:
  18. Understood. I just tap the top of the handle so my hand isn't anywhere near the inside of the handle. But I can see that.
  19. I don't have any problem tapping the handle and hearing the doors lock.
  20. I don't think that website was ever put into production by Ford.
  21. There should be a red led where the plunger would have been that lights up when the door is locked. How does Lexus unlock the door more quickly?
  22. With a thermometer of course. But you can usually estimate it. If it's 80 degrees outside then you should get cold air at any temp below 80 for sure.
  23. Well that sucks. I thought Ford was offering FMV.
  24. I wasn't implying you were dumb. In manual hvac the temperature knob directly controls the temp of the air so some people think the digital temp works the same way. It's an easy mistake. To your point, if the ambient air temp in the vehicle is 60 or 90 then yes, you would get the same temp from the hvac at both 73 and 83 because in both cases it would be trying to heat or cool the vehicle to the set temperature. The fact that it blows the same doesn't necessarily mean that it's not working properly. If the ambient temp in the vehicle is 78 and you still get the same temp from the hvac on both 73 and 83 then that's a problem. Ignore Hi and Lo since those are overrides. If the hvac is set higher than the ambient temp you should get hot air. If it's set lower you should get cold air. If that's not working then that's what you need to show the dealer, not just that it blows the same at 73 and 83.
