  1. Mine was a 1975 Cutlass Supreme - baby blue with a full white vinyl top (obviously not factory - I found out why when I took it off a few years later and it was rusty as hell). I put wire spoke chrome basket wheels and small whitewall tires on it. Also had a blue velour interior. Total pimpmobile. Also a total POS. I replace the radiator (twice), water pump, timing chain, transmission, exhaust (tried to park across a railroad track at UGA and the rail caught the muffler and ripped it off), and head gaskets. Thieves stole my wire baskets and the center console with my stereo and A/C controls. Had to get one from a junkyard to replace it. They also took my dash mounted pioneer tuneup speakers. Finally dumped it when I got a real job after graduation. Replaced it with a 87 Acura Integra 2 door hatchback (manual). Loved that car. Couldn't wait to get rid of the cutlass.
  2. That's what I've been told several times. You have to change out the module.
  3. You can't really compare stock prices directly since the number of shares is different. And short term stock prices are based on nothing more than sheer speculation and the whims of day traders. Companies that make business decisions based on increasing the current stock price are doomed. I lived through it with a fortune 100 company and it's not pretty. Edit - almost forgot that the Ford family has majority rights over all the other shareholders. A lot of investors don't like that.
  4. Hard to say - you're still in the break-in period........
  5. Agree on the blocked air filter. Could also be a throttle body problem but check the air filter first.
  6. It counts down from 100%. They probably did not reset the oil monitor percentage.
  7. Can't go by that - they show up in stock as soon as they're shipped. But they should at least be in transit.
  8. According to fordparts.com - the 2014 and 2015 Edge use the same APIM and display.
  9. It's possible the 2015 Edge gets the new hardware with MFT but it's more likely they'll simply swap in the sync 3 hardware with sync 3 when it's ready since the hardware is interchangeable. Otherwise you've just created a third hw/sw combination that must be tested and supported at least for some interim period. It would be great if that's the case though.
  10. Wasn't there a dealer option to have a backup camera display in the rearview mirror?
  11. You can terminate early or extend it, usually for at least 3 months either way.
  12. I touched up a fairly large section of the rear hatch (about 4-8 sq in) using paintscratch.com aerosol (white platinum). They also have pens and other options with all 3 coats (base, mid and clear). Always had good results with their products.
  13. They were still finishing sync 3 (and may still be getting it ready). I think they put all available resources on sync 3 the last year and when that's finished I think they'll go back and do more bug fixes on MFT but probably no new features.
  14. Ok, I'll ask the obvious question - is the engine overheating? The fans only run when they need to run to keep the engine cool. If they're not running but engine temp is normal then there is no problem.
  15. MS didn't write MFT. That was BSquare. I think it's possible and even likely there will be updates soon now that sync 3 is almost finished.
  16. Correct. Test it tonight and see of the headlights and taillights both come on.
  17. I don't know. I haven't heard of anyone having to replace anything.
  18. The hardware is the same size. A ford employee already swapped it into a Taurus. This way they can swap it in whenever it's ready without having to use a new dash.
  19. That's a huge upgrade, not a replacement. The 2.3L would be most logical but some people don't want ecoboost, the 3.5L is probably cheaper and has a larger supply.
  20. Those were LOANS that Ford paid back or will pay back in full. Nissan and Tesla also got the same loans. They were available to all automakers. They had to be tied to increasing fuel efficiency. Not even close to a bailout.
  21. Sometimes they do provide info to the dealers who don't pass it on. Just like the dealers who have order info but say they don't. Not sure that's the case here, though. This type of extended repair interval with loaner cars is terrible. I know they have a good reason but they should offer to buy it back at full value and offer a discount on a new one.
