  1. Without having heard the B&O I can tell you there is a huge difference. The Sony system was 390 Watts and used some really bad digital amp. Even the Sony Platinum system used in the explorer was only 500 watts. The B&O is 800 Watts and uses a better amp. The sound system has always been my biggest gripe with my edge. My $26K Dodge Caliber had a better sound system by far and was a big let down every time i crank my favorite songs in my edge.
  2. Ahh ok.. Only asked because I just watched a vid of a guy picking up a car for his wife. He was trading his wife's 18 mustang GT though
  3. Did you trade in her mustang and make a YouTube vid as you picked it up?
  4. That is cool. Almost makes me want to switch to 401A just for this feature. I'm at the edge of my budget though and really dont need much else from the 401A group.
  5. You are right, I didn't notice the adaptive headlights or rear heated seats. Looks like also the auto dimming driver mirror, Enhanced Active Park Assist and power shade on the sunroof. The US has a larger pricing difference between an equally loaded 400A and 401A though for some reason. Its $2360 without the wheels. *Edit: I just contacted Ford about the powershade and it looks like its simply missing from the literature when configured with the 400A group.
  6. To get the black wheels it ends up a 3,355 option over the 400A package loaded as similarly as it will allow. The only difference is you get the cooled seats with the 401A... so basically the $995 wheels and a $2360 cooled seat option. If the cooled seats are not important to you then you are better off just buying some aftermarket wheels and even doing a full brake upgrade with all the remaining cash.
  7. Isn't it also the only automatic ST available?
  8. I am in the US but I got the base and added everything I want and it was much cheaper than going with the 401A. I figure wheels and brake upgrades are something I would rather go aftermarket anyway. 9. Camera wash sounds great but the hanging drip it would leave when cleaning while needing to reverse means you would have to use it with foresight. Already now in rain I sometimes get the hanging drop of water that distorts the camera image so bad it is not usable.
  10. Looks awesome! What are your first impressions and what options did you get?
  11. I really like reading about everyone's experiences with the order/purchase process. I just got an update on the progress of my car and it now has an estimated delivery date of 1/3/19... I really hope it makes it out early but the holidays might mess that up.
  12. Ordered 9/19/18 and I got my VIN 10/16/18 Looks like scheduled build is the week of 12/3 to 12/7. Very excited now and hopefully it will make shipment before the holidays.
  13. My 2011 got terrible reviews and also has a noticeable throttle delay at times and some wonky shifting logic. Despite all that it is my absolute favorite car I have owned/Driven. It just fits me well and is a nice balance of all the things I need. It has surprised some of the tuner Maxima kids while loaded with the family coming back from vacation and has hauled extra large capacity washer and driers still in the retail boxes. At one point I chose to drive it over my Harley because I enjoyed it so much. I don't care if the new ST doesn't match some peoples view of what an ST is.. To me the ST is just a track tuned sport anyway and any real performance starts with the RS.
  14. I was hoping COTUS would stick around long enough to get my VIN. I don't think my dealer will react within even a month to get my VIN to me.
  15. As of today the Ford Cotus site has been discontinued. Can only track through the dealer apparently. Still waiting for a VIN for mine and my dealer stopped responding to my emails.
  16. I agree with akirby here. The ST badge is not a top tier performance label. It is a badge indicating Ford performance group specifically tuned it. If it were an RS badge with these specs I would be disappointed though.
  17. I feel the reviews sound fair. Someone buying the ST thinking it will be better than the other ST cars needs to understand that it is still a CUV. It may be faster in a straight line but its still got a lot of mass to throw around. The active noise control being reversed to amplify engine noise using the audio system needs to be confirmed for me. MT is the only one claiming this but is definitely a negative for me unless it can be disabled. As for opinions on the interior, i feels its subjective. I love the interior of my 2011 still and I would change very little. The 2019 goes backwards just a bit with physical buttons but it probably is for the better due to tactile feedback and problems with USB cables activating the capacitive buttons. I am equally if not more excited to drive my new edge after reading the reviews.
  18. Congrats!. I ordered mine but have yet to receive a VIN. I am hoping to get mine before the holiday shutdown in December. Anyone willing to share pricing compared to MSRP?
  19. I have 25k on mine and my original scorpions are pretty beat. They have some unusual wear though from some minor alignment issues. Also have 1 tire losing about 10psi per day now so I'm suspecting I picked up a roofing nail. I'm looking at the Parada spec X.
  20. Here is my update. Yesterday I finally was able to pick up my car. Turns out it wasn't the APIM module that was on backorder. It was actually a high pressure power steering line that they noticed a small leak on. It came in on Monday and they installed it during a snow storm on Tuesday. Also they replaced the lift gate struts and performed a TSB to attempt to fix the transmission "bang" problem that I had been experiencing. In all I had a great experience with them and it all cost me $0 out of pocket.. even with a synthetic oil change with a conventional oil change coupon. I enjoyed the MKX loaner car and was spoiled by the remote start and heated steering wheel but I really missed my Edge. Oddly my Edge has a much smoother and quieter ride, not to mention more comfortable seats.
  21. Thanks FordIVTteam. I'm still waiting for the backordered module. They also found a few other issues with my car and did the trans "bang" TSB fix. Everything is under warranty aside from an oil change I'm also having done with a coupon.
  22. Dealer is replacing the APIM but they are on backorder without an expected date. I am driving a 2011 MKX loaner but the radio has no sound from all sources and the windshield washer jets don't work. Its a nice car otherwise but I miss my edge for sure.
  23. I just had the black screen of death happen yesterday. They MFT system has been freezing and failing to shut down after exiting and locking the car. Once I even came outside after the car sat for 3 hours to find it still playing music in my driveway. Usually after 5-10 mins it would shut down. The freezes became more frequent until it just all out died on me. Now pulling the negative off the battery and fuse 29 don't restore it. Making an appointment at the dealership to get this resolved.
  24. I would worry about driveline components at 115+mph.. especially with the AWD models. The mustang is known to grenade driveshafts without its speed limiter.
