  1. TiVo has a USB to Ethernet adapter that has a 6" or so pigtail (male USB to female USB) Perfect for what you need
  2. No but I figure I'll wait till the next update is available. Overall the system is working fine. I need to click the unlock, Lock, plus remote start twice to start the car remotely but it only entails one extra click. No biggie

  5. I had them on my 2007. I now have a 2011 and tried 2 separate dealers with both saying NO WAY to do it. No option exists in their software as it did in previous models
  6. Hello Bella From what I understand buying the SD card is not enough. The My Touch has to be setup for nav. Cannot be added. Had you wanted to purchase the nav it would had to come from the factory at a cost of about 700.00 or so
  7. Just to clarify. My Sync is better after the upgrade than before. I suggest it may be better to wait because the dealers are having issues getting the needed updates from Ford itself. Cars are being held up at the dealer for days on end. My car took 2 full days to get a successful update. This is why I say to wait
  8. First off.. Thank you for your service. I wish you a safe tour I just had my car updated by Ford. Still has some bugs so I suggest you wait a month or so.   9. I have had the Sync update on my '11 Edge and since then I'm thinking my heated seats are not working. The front and rear defrost are doing the job however. Tomorrow morning I'll run it through 2 10 minute remote starts for a total of 20 minutes. If seats aren't warm by then I will know for sure
  10. Just to add my 2 cents I have been behind many a car with tinted tail lights and can honestly say most are so dark you can't tell they have the turn signals on during the day. That would make make less visible at night also. I have driven well over 2 million miles in my career so I have seen it all. This is putting others at risk, not just yourself
  11. Brian your remote start works as before? One click of "lock" plus 2 clicks of "remote start button"? After the update I need to click the lock door button twice making the horn beep. Plus the ambient is off by the 2 colors. Additionally my radio power gets turned off at times when starting the car. Nothing I can't live with however BUT you think they would get it right. Hopefully anyway Still loving my ride Happy Holidays everyone
  12. Just to clarify On the 2011 Edge the remote start will also turn on the heated seats and the rear defroster/heated mirrors (providing you have it set to Auto and the temps are below freezing). Once in the car and you press the start button you will have to manually reset the heated seats and rear defroster/mirrors Works very well
  13. Ok so I had the Sync update which took 2 days. Thankfully had a loaner. I am left with a few minor repercussions if you will since updating. I am having issues with my remote engine start, before the update it worked perfectly. Now it is hit and miss. Most times it takes me 3 tries to get it started and just before it was more like 5 attempts. The ambient lighting has a few colors screwed up. When I click on green I may get blue. Only other thing is the radio turns off and I think it may be when I am remotely starting. I have very little faith that these problems can get resolved easily. I will wait till about next Wednesday so I can document just what is happening. I can live with this for a short time but really need the remote start more than ever now I'll keep you updated
  14. Had the upgrade yesterday but now I have some issues with the remote start. It now takes 2 try's when I never had problems before. Also the radio power shuts off when starting the car. Trying to narrow down just what's wrong before notifying the dealer. For the most part it is faster and hopefully these minor glitches will get resolved
  15. Yes sorry. Had the posts mixed up. Here is what I posted earlier I just got back from the dealer with my Edge. I can certainly say it is much quicker in response then before the update. The service tech told me he was able to get on the web this morning without any disconnects or freeze ups on Fords end. When I got into my car I had to re pair my iPhone and download the phonebook. All quick dial numbers and such were lost so that needs to be re done. Auto temp settings had to be reentered as well. Can't say for sure if the seat settings were lost (didn't check it) System is faster then before so that alone is worth it. Going through the phonebook is quick unlike before. I didn't find anything NEW like pictures in the phonebook entries. One thing I did see was on the Home button, when pressed you have 3 options to view the screen. The top option is where you can view stored photo's (that was lost as well) But in the 3 screen choice setting was an icon of the Lincoln symbol (I have a Ford). I don't think that was there before the update I can also add that firm finger presses are still needed to make changes or entries. Will give it a good test tomorrow morning when it should be in the low 20's Update was done at Ramp Ford in Port Jefferson Station NY 631-473-4600 Ed was the service writer Hope this helps. If over the next few days the system stays as is and the bluetooth connection always finds my phone I'll be very happy (Not that much more should be expected of it) Sync website shows the update
  16. Just to follow up... from another post today The screen turned completely off when I opened the door to exit. Hopefully the screen staying on issue is also resolved. One glitch I did see was the ambient lighting had the blue and green colors backward. If clicking on blue I got green and when clicking on green I got like a yellow. Very strange, will check it out further tomorrow morning. Otherwise doing great :hyper:

  18. Just received a call from my dealer. Said the sync update took this morning and that I would be VERY HAPPY. Said and I quote "it's lightning fast" I will be picking it up around noon time additionally he also said there was no way to activate the DRL's

  20. Just spoke to my service tech. Said they fully downloaded the update but now my navigation is lost. The Main Ford site went down or crashed this afternoon so they will try again tomorrow
  21. Just got home. WITHOUT my Edge. Seems it is a 4 part download with internet connection plus thumb drives. Was told they have an even newer MyTouch update then what was posted on yesterdays Sync website. Dealership gave me a loaner vehicle as it was going to be at least another 1 to 2 hours. Can't complain
