  1. I shipped the car when there was a run of 78 000 km, I remembered fuel consumption which showed then the computer-16.7 liters on 100 kilometers. That is it was the gasoline consumption in the USA. In the first summer I had an expense 17.8, but later when I replaced oil the consumption of gasoline increased to 18 - 18.5 liters in the summer. Perhaps it is connected with about what we spoke, I chose oil 5w30, but not only it was the cause. Last year I replaced oil in PTU, it was black and dense. I changed oil in PTU two times, last year and in one year later, that is this year I replaced oil in PTU the second time. I did it for cleaning of PTU thus. I think it helped to reduce a gasoline consumption on 1 liter. I replaced sparks two years ago, but they were in an excellent state and claims to them weren't, I made it for regulations. Now the odometer to show 127 000 km. I didn't examine a candle now, I will make it soon. I use the 92nd gasoline, but once a month I use the 95th octane number, the result is hardly noticeable. I tried to use different brands, it also yielded hardly noticeable result.

I ask it also because Mobil1 ESP 0w-30 oil is at the moment not available to me, but other Mobil1 Fuel Economy 0w-30 oil is available, they have various parameters. This oil has other properties. Therefore I choose other suitable oils.

  4. I have a standard user manual for the USA and there of course oil 5w20 is recommended. I will listen to your council and I will try 0W20 or 5w20. But one more feature, at me in the summer temperature of +25-+37 degrees therefore viscosity 30 was chosen still therefore.

As far as I know this oil especially for Ford is done by Сastrol, it is similar Сastrol Magnatek 5w30. I have no problem of start of the engine in a frost, the engine is started well in a frost, I established temperature on MAX, AUTO. Yes, by my car remote start of Starline A93 is installed, established this summer and the expense in comparison with last winter increased by two liters). last winter the consumption of gasoline was 21 liters, this winter with remote start 23 liters).   11. One year ago I changed oil in automatic transmission, PTU,RDU, I changed forward brake disks and pads, but a gasoline consumption in summertime of 18 liters for 100 km, and in the winter 22-23 liters on 100 kilometers!!! Any thoughts!

Thanks friends for your responses, from everything I incline so far to of what I thought: to paint disks a chromium, to find sentralny cups on them (it so far a problem), to leave a grill and the simulator of protection of a cowl black (approaches to black which is pulled on a bottom of the machine and black wheels).
  13. My disks 20", were completed on models 2008 Limited, I read somewhere that these wheels were put on Ford Explorer, just the same. As confirmation can serve it that fact that ET 44 departure on these wheels that isn't absolutely standard for Ford EDGE(ET35-40). My problem that I dismantled plastic covers and now my centers of disks aren't covered, their size of 17,5 cm, and I can't pick up the central covers. Somebody knows what central cups will approach on such wheels? Thanks. p.s: how I think, on Lincoln MKX 2008 also there were plastic skins? help me to find the central cups for disks 20". Maybe will approach from other car?

  17. Friends, I wanted to recolour a grill long ago and to make it visually another, impudent, similar to F-150. I wished that it visually would stretch the car up, such idea applied by cars after 2010, and also and by cars of 2015, the grill raises all car there up, pulls it up. All that I could think up from the opportunities these are two options which I show you, what of them in your opinion more nice. I wait for responses. I want to receive log the file of the ASM module on the car till 2011 from the device specified on the image( http://static.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/images/Auto/izmo/292974/2008_ford_edge_audiosystem.jpg ) . I need two files: 1. with the parameter of a step of scanning of AM/FM 0.2 USA 2. with scanning step parameter 0.1 Europe. of course will be able to make such log files those who has cords or devices working through ODB the socket.   19. Hello. I programmed the second key (I have available one key). This should work to program the button features of the IKT: Procedure : 1.Close all doors, then open drivers door and press the Unlock button on drivers door while it is open, insert key into ignition. 2.Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 8 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode. (if the door locks do not cycle, then it was done incorrectly. You must start over by removing key and beginning from step 1) (Off is the position where you can remove your key, RUN is the position just shy of starting your car.) 3.Within 10 seconds press any button on the first keyless remote to be programmed. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. If you only have one remote then skip to step 5. 4.Within 10 seconds, press any button on the second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming. Repeat step 4. for all other remotes. 5.Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode. Three buttons were programmed successfully (closing, opening and Alarm), but wasn't successful with the button of opening of a luggage carrier, it wasn't programmed. Any thoughts. Thanks. p.s.:The key with the chip shipped in China (the copy of the original), by the way I registered it in PATS also successfully by means of the ForScan program.Now I have two workers of a key, but the button of opening of a luggage carrier (a back door) doesn't work at the second, I would wish to correct it for 100%.

  23. Friends hi. The strange question, but is compelled to set it. My Ford EDGE, I love it, and everything in it is good, except the size. My height of 198 cm and I have some problems when landing in it. I am compelled to remove a seat back, my head settles down just opposite to the central racks, what wonderful look, I constantly bend what to see something at turn and I look out of the window of a back door or on the contrary I bend forward what to see something in a window of a forward door. Over the head the place isn't enough and sometimes I hit a ceiling), I have Vista roof, it reduces space. But in the summer it everything is tolerant, problems begin in the winter when I stack on a seat a subtub from a sheepskin, and at once the gap in 1,5 cm disappears over the head. I stack a lining, what not to freeze the fifth point, at us cold in the winter of-25 degrees Celsius. Such history). To be pleasant to me my EDGE, but I think to replace it with more spacious on height. I considered option of replacement by Explorer 2008, what your opinion in what will lose this option and in what to win? Your opinion: its technical characteristics, service problems, appearance in comparison with EDGE. Any thoughts except kicks.

Remove the coolant hoses from the transmission fluid filler tube and position aside. Whether my question: needs to be deleted cooling liquid?
