For future reference: Remove the purge value before moving the clip. There is enough slack in the hose to do so. Makes it a lot easier. Best Wishes.

In my experience with this issue, the interior temperature is what triggers the auto setting to turn on. For example: Car parked outside @ 32 degrees: Sun through the windows, or parked in garage, interior temps higher than outside temps, will not set added features on.
