You can check Redline Tuning to see if they have an application for your 2013 Edge. A few people on this forum have installed their products, and love 'em. http://www.redlinetuning.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=Ford+Edge+2013

2015 Edge Sport - engine shut down while driving
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to djrjr's topic in 2.7L EcoBoost
The 3.5 NA (naturally aspirated) motor (the Edge does not have the 3.5EB motor), correct. The 2.7EB is not involved. -
The BCM will be programmed to the specific PCM it is connected to. Not sure exactly what all is involved though. It may drive off the PCM strategy code, or some other internal identifier. IDK.

Hope the diag menu turns up a lead Don't be "fooled" by the MYs listed on the TSB, that is just a guide, and where Ford feels the issue has been "certifiably" proven & fixed.- 11 replies

Navigation - Location Jumping Around
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to aarondesj's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Did this only happen with 3.8? Any other electrical or mechanical snafus? A dying battery can raise all sorts of symptoms. You can try disconnecting the neg cable for 30 minutes, reconnecting, and letting the PCM relearn. May be enough to fix the GPS/navigation issue. Is the latest software installed? http://www.revbase.c...adPdf?id=180484 Also, there is a TSB 14-0037 for this particular issue. GLOBAL POSITIONING SATELLITE MODULE (GPSM) NAVIGATION DISPLAY OFFSET OR INCORRECT POSITION BUILT ON OR BEFORE 1/6/2014 Image of TSB here There are diagnostic menus you can access: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17205-navigation-is-not-even-close-to-correct/?do=findComment&comment=125429- 11 replies

2015 Edge Sport - engine shut down while driving
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to djrjr's topic in 2.7L EcoBoost
Good luck, msawdust. At this point, Ford should issue a voluntary recall on the 3.5's and update the PCM calibration. -
If it really is a gas smell, there could be multiple reasons, including those supposedly addressed by the dealer (a Ford dealer I presume?). Not done yet is exhaust system checks to see if there are any leaks. How has the MPG been? Should be decent, accounting for 10% drop with winter fuel. Definitely go to another dealer and verify that the work was actually done. Unrelated, but is your Edge AWD or FWD? AWD's tend to have PTU sickness, which can cause PTU fluid to spew and make evil smells. Also check to see if your cabin air filter (glove compartment) is clean & functional.

Sounds like the camshaft position sensor (CPS/CMP) might be AWOL. Pull codes to check, there should be something set, and quite likely check engine lights as well. Codes will be P03xx. Any major auto chain store can pull the codes for free. BTW, did the SPEEDO stop working or the TACHOMETER?

Buzz at fuse box when Head Lights are on
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Harleydude24's topic in 2009 Edge & MKX
If the horn does not work with the fuse pulled, the horn is likely defective and needs replacement. But any of these can be the culprit: Fuse Circuitry Horn Clockspring Steering wheel switch harness Horn switches (part of the steering wheel) Smart junction box (SJB) Horn Item Part Number Description 1 W706805 Front fender splash shield screws (RH) (5 required) 2 — Horn electrical connector (part of 14290) 3 W605784 Horn bolt 4 13832 Horn Removal and Installation With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Section 100-02 .Remove the 5 RH front fender splash shield screws. Pull the RH front fender splash shield downward to access the horn. Disconnect the electrical connector.Remove the bolt and the horn. To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). To install, reverse the removal procedure. -
If it works like SJB replacement, an appropriate scan tool (VCM/IDS compatible) is needed to upload the BCM configuration from the old unit and download into the new BCM. EDIT: If you don't download the config, you will need to get the AS-BUILT DATA from Ford's data center and download into the new module. Programmable Module Installation (PMI) Using the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) When the Original Module is NOT Available NOTE: Following module installation, some modules require a separate learning procedure be carried out. For adaptive learning and calibration instructions, refer to the specific module removal and installation procedures. Install the new module.Connect the IDS and identify the vehicle as normal. From the Toolbox icon, select Module Programming and press the check mark.Select Programmable Module Installation.Select the module that was replaced.Follow the on-screen instructions, turn the ignition key to the OFF position, and press the check mark.Follow the on-screen instructions, turn the ignition key to the ON position, and press the check mark.If the data is not available, the IDS displays a screen stating to contact the As-Built Data Center. Retrieve the data from the technician service publication website at this time and press the check mark.Enter the module data and press the check mark. The IDS downloads the data into the new module and displays Module Configuration Complete.Test module for correct operation.

Motortrend SUV of the year issue - January
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to GT500R's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
The 6F55 trans can easily handle 500-550 lb.ft of torque (crank) in a daily driver. Plenty of vehicles around as proof. Now, the 6F50 trans used with the non-Ecoboost 3.5 is definitely not as strong, but what the limit is there is hard to say (insufficient data). -

Motortrend SUV of the year issue - January
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to GT500R's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
Assuming similar test conditions, probably PCM programming to provide a "smoother" experience, making the MKX a tad slower as a byproduct. -
Looking forward to your experience with it (and install video ), mac. For those interested: http://filterminder.com/products/visual-mechanical-indicators-gauges/air-filter-restriction-monitoring-gauges-indicators/air-filter-restriction-monitoring-gauge-dial.html

Does the product have a bulb-like casing around the emitters, or are they "naked"? vLEDs use a casing to improve dispersion, should help even with projector headlights.

Buzz at fuse box when Head Lights are on
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Harleydude24's topic in 2009 Edge & MKX
Which fuse did you pull, Harley, to make it stop buzzing? Could be a fault in the headlamp switch (did you have it on AUTO or MANUAL?), or the Multifunction Switch (the turn signal lever). -
Yeah, nasty little buggers!
