    Looks like very good specs on both. Not sure about ASRock, no experience with them. Do you expect to max out the desktop, power wise, I notice the 1200W rating for the PS. Gaming/CAD? You must have a beefy UPS protecting that one Silverstone is NICE!

    Had a streak of bad luck with MSI motherboards that made me finally switch over to Gigabyte (not the fastest, I know, but quite reliable the last 2+ years). Wireless-n at least, maybe even fiber optic backbone? :hyper:

    Mine was about $485 at the dealer, had taken it in for a diagnostic (no oil leak, but oil smell when starting engine). So about 4.5 hrs labor total, at about $110/hr, + about $10 for parts. The related "service tip" is here: http://way2evil.com/tsb/tsb09-25-07.pdf

    Do you have a panic button on your remote? Could that be accidentally getting pressed? I have done that a couple of times with my older cars, wanting to press the unlock button without looking & getting it wrong :hysterical2: Will the Lock/Unlock buttons help stop the horn from going off? Another thing could be a flaw in the passive security system (not same as alarm), but that is a shot in the dark.

    Can you pull codes from your OBD system? A local Autozone/Advance Auto type store should be able to help. Any other electrical problems? How old is your car's battery? Is it leaking by any chance (possibly shorting wiring)? Might want to try letting the systems reset/relearn by disconnecting the battery temporarily.

    So it's behaving when it knows it's being watched, Richy? :hysterical2: Since Ford/GM co-developed this trans, who should really be blamed? It sounds like they need to really dig into the programming &/or electrical innards, if the insertion of the logger into the loop really does make a difference.

    That's why I am running the Osrams instead, not great for long dark roads, but much better than stock for me. Prnzill's project should be groundbreaking for all of us. It remains to be seen what the cost would be DIY/aftermarket, etc. HID is so easily available as a technology that it is literally a crime for it to be so expensive as a standalone option from the manufacturer.

    My SEL has standard power mirrors, no heat, no puddle delights. Any idea what it would take to swap in mirrors/housings with puddle lights? I think that was the question in #8 ...
