OK to apply wax over AutoArmor?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to edge1217's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
LOL! You will find L2D very very helpful in that regard. Richy's work is outstanding, and he documents everything so well, simply amazing! -
Welcome to the Edge community! Great pic, looks like a post-storm location just off the shore ... No clue on the MFT. But I do know that indexing and searching that amount of data will take some time. Processors/software are just not that fast in mobile audio yet. Microsoft directory structures are not that efficient anyway. Although FAT32 can support up to 8 TB of data (theoretically), it really isn't very good for more than 32GB in practice. That's why Microsoft introduced NTFS / NTFS5. A good summary here: http://www.ntfs.com/ntfs_vs_fat.htm HTH.

OK to apply wax over AutoArmor?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to edge1217's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
I will defer to Richy & Edgieguy on the product/application specifics. But my thought is that if you clean the vehicle really well (get the dirt and grime off), then wax it (no polishing), that would get you started on a good footing. Ideally, sure, you would throw in claying and polishing steps in between to achieve those diamond like sparkling results If you are interested in going whole hog, might be better off using a "test subject" (an old car, usually, or a painted panel) to get the hang of the process before using it on your "live" vehicle. Or, look up well-reviewed detailers in your area to put your mind at ease. Maybe someone on here knows people in CT who you could go to or have come to you? -
Check posts by whiteis33. Used to have a FB link too, not sure if he added a website to go with ...

Welcome, and great choice of vehicle and color

Since 2013 SELs come in the 2.0L & 3.5L trim, we need to know exactly what you have. If you have an AWD, you have the 3.5L engine, but if FWD, could be either.

Same deal here with my '07.

If the Edge came in a V6 hybrid, it would at least slowly pay back on the pain up front. Don't you guys pay income tax? Jeez.- 22 replies

Very nice! Did you wire the cupholder lights to the console power outlet, PnP or hardwired? -

Gas is quite expensive in Europe! BMW's on the turbo bandwagon also, so it seems the "premium" labels are "downsizing" as well. I am all for fuel economy, but I am all for giving the consumer options as well.- 22 replies
