  1. Mcali.. are they charging you for this TSB?and rtsb free of charge all the time if it does fall in the TSB category as the main issue.? Also does the dealer charge a inspection fee to confirm its the TSB? Or is the whole job free if it is the tsb?
  2. yup... same as mines but does not do regularly. About 2 to 3 at worst times a week. Update is what they find our of they do any work please.
  3. Mcali.... update is when is done. Let us know what they replaced. Also what trim do you have?
  4. if anyone does have the wire diagrams please post them here. I still think it's a ecm programming deal. The dealer he went to probably does not have the training to do this. They can most likely flag the SEL model programming but risk bugs on other components stuck as tranny and other programming related parts. And that's something the dealer does not want anything to do with. Our at least management won't allow it. That's why I think he should go to another dealer and explain to them the project and pay the hour rate to flash and reflash.
  5. Akirby... that's good to know. I was leaning towards a whole ecm reprogramming. But I think there's others lines of code design for the version with the paddles. Maybe even slightly different programming for the tranny. That's just a guess. Too bad the op was not successful thought. I would have attempted it myself. I would go to a different dealer and get a 2nd and even a 3rd go at it if money was not a issue.
  6. Oh wow! All that work for nothing. I know how you feel. That's interesting how they have nothing. A ford engineer would have the answer.
  7. Very nice project. Would love to do this to my 2011 se. Let us know how it turns out!!! Godspeed!
  8. that sucks! Still with the issue huh? I'd call the dealer and ask then about a revised version if there's any.
  9. regular wd40 can. And the crc electrical cleaner. Those 2 I used.
  10. Don't worry. you don't need that tool. I did it without and I had no problems at all. Just opened up the bleeders and it willbe very easy, otherwise you will have a hard time with the breeder close.
  11. I did mines a few months ago. All you need is a strong long needle nose pliers, and open up the bleeders put the needle nose pliers to the notches and turn clockwise as you put slight pressure inwards.
  12. nope. I tried. impossible really. you need at least a needle nose plier,r the long one. And one of those adjustable big wrenches.you can get away with just the long needle nose pliers if you're lucky, just give it a shot.remember I believe if I recall correctly to rotate clockwise as you push.I'd like to open the caliper bleeder just to keep debris from flowing back and doing damage, some people don't but it does make a difference in pushing the caliper piston in.and if you do you open up the caliper deleter, you can most likely get away by just using a long needle nose pliers.
  13. if you take it to the shop, the technician will have to make the problemhappened to him and order for them to do something about it.
  14. Yup... mines too. does not happen frequently but it happens. If you research around it seems like it's a common problem on these cars.hopefully our transmissions don't fail because of this issue.I like the car lot and would hate to get rid of it because of it
  15. here is the post. ... follow it. Almost 1 year and not 1 problem ever since. ,forget the stealership! They are known to rape your wallet!
  16. Update on my procedure. Still working like new. Try mytechnique and you will fix your door ajar problem forever.
  17. please update us what happened. Every dealer is different. My car is running good so far. I even cleaned the throttle body with the safe coating coat cleaner and is berm running really good ever since.
  18. no...lol. its the special magic dust coat on the body that cost that much. It's bronie magic!
  19. Ok. Mines still works after found the whole procedure.
  20. Yeah.... Pretty much agree with everyone. It is a feel good thing. But everyone can't say that they got more power by just installing it. Im going to steer away from buying it. I don't want to deal with the oiling to renew it. And don't want to risk the map sensor or dirty the oil. I just bought the paper style filter. Easy and not that expensive.
  21. Wow! To bad! Hmmm....... im trying to think of what else would cause this. I would look into the map sensor.
  22. 64k. It had a slight carbon build up on the throat. But the flap had the edge nicely coated with a good layer of black carbon that was oily. Worst part was the oil build up from the pcv design. Tons of oil! At least remove the boot and make sure it's not pulled up like mine. I regret not taking pictures. Remember. . Use at your own risk. Ppl day don't touch it. I did and got good results. But I also used teflon safe cleaner and new cotton rags to gently wipe it clean. Also used a soft brittle tooth brush for the flap.
  23. I have the se base model. Does not have the fordsync. There's a dial pad on the right of the small screen. What's it for? I searched the menu and there nothing of phone or blutooth properties.
  24. if you go to the dealer please let us know what it was
