  1. I loaded it to USB last night when I made that remark and loaded it this morning on my way to work. Will report back with results as soon as the situation comes up again.
  2. I'm still on 3.5.1. Just never remember that it still needs an update until about now when it's after midnight.
  3. Yeah, I don't think you can get it to go any higher than it comes as delivered. It does hang kind of low. Can see how it could get in the way for taller folk. Perhaps this has been changed with the '15 as well?
  4. If the potholes are that big a problem, you may also want to consider downsizing from a 22" wheel to give your sidewalls a little more forgiveness. Don't think any other tires would really be that much better than the Pirelli's in those cases.
  5. I've been having the same issue with answering calls lately. Happened on my old Galaxy Nexus and on my new Galaxy S5. Didn't used to have this issue at all until one of the more recent MFT updates. I'm still one release behind the latest-and-greatest version though. Will update to the latest and see what happens. Are you even supposed to be able to access the address book on the instrument cluster screen (would be nice if you could)? I only recall seeing options for Missed and Recent or something along those lines. (For making calls I find that the voice command is a far superior way to do it anyway.)
  6. Had equally good luck with the OE Pirelli's on my '11 Sport. Got nearly 60,000 out of them before replacement. Far better than I ever expected given their low profile and my typical driving habits. Rotated them front-to-rear with every oil change and have been meticulous with checking pressure. Second set are barely showing any wear at all yet with 15,000+ on them.
  7. Ah. Yes "M" it is on my '11. According to what I've read, if you open the tailgate manually, you just hold it to the desired height and then press the power liftgate button until it chimes, then it will no longer raise higher than your specified position. Should work on all Edges, Escapes, and Explorers with power liftgates. Seems to be mixed on whether they say it works on the Edge though. Never had a reason to try it on mine.
  8. Is it a MFT-equipped vehicle? If so, one of the options on the screen brightness menu is to have them both dim to whatever settings you have them set to automatically based on ambient light conditions.
  9. May experience some rubbing at full steering wheel lock, but doubt it'd make any contact during regular driving.
  10. Haven't had the time to get a look at it yet and I managed to strain a muscle in my chest wall the other day so bending over under the dash is out of the question for a few more days. Planning to take a look as soon as I can.
  11. Goes back to the 2011's. Mine has "S" as well. Can't say I ever really use it much though. More often it's just a pain in the butt when I pull the shifter too far down and it automatically resets my left MFT screen to the digital tach instead of my normal fuel economy display.
  12. There's a process for doing that on the current Edges/MKX's with power liftgates too. Never had a reason to do it though so don't know what it is.
  13. My '11 Sport has been averaging 20+ since I bought it.
  14. It's setup like the power liftgate on the Escape and Explorer now. Certainly an welcome and expected change.
  15. And herein lies the problem with depending too much on GPS. If I'm going somewhere I've never been I'll always at least look at the general layout of where I have to go on Google Maps before I ever even enter anything in my GPS. I don't want to be surprised by anything.
  16. I've had it happen occasionally, but it's rarely an issue, as it corrects itself long before I'm getting close to the destination where I actually need the help of the GPS.
  17. Isn't the AWD fuel tank somewhere around 18 gallons? I just put 17 in mine this morning. Or do they put a smaller one in the export models for some reason? That makes no sense. For what it's worth, my '11 Sport AWD usually averages close to 21 mpg in mixed driving.
  18. I'd do a forum search for this. I know seat rattles are a relatively common problem with them, particularly on the first gens. Haven't had the problem on mine yet, but I'm sure it'll happen eventually.
  19. Why would you need/want a separate heated mirror switch? Seems to work just fine in conjunction with the defroster the way it is configured now.
  20. Does the system have that info though? I know some systems can determine it, while others are "dumb" and just get a blanket reading from all the sensors without distinguishing between which is which. At the very least, it would be a nice added feature to put on the MKX.
  21. Thanks! I'll give that a shot. Also a little disappointed in the chintzy way the glovebox door is connected. When I pulled on the elastic string to re-connect it to the door hook, the loop on the end broke.
  22. I decided to change out my cabin air filter the other day (which I had admittedly been neglecting to do). Ever since then, the fan motor has been making a light fluttering sound, louder as fan speed increases. It's not the filter flapping around (although that's what I thought it might have been at first), as it makes the same noise whether the filter is in or out. Any other ideas of something I may be able to address myself? Not a killer, since it's barely audible even at full fan speed if I have the radio on, but still, if there's an easy fix... 2011 Sport with 77,000 miles.
