Another Issue with my '15 Edge
tron1974 replied to built2prfctn's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
My sport is really quiet also. I have not noticed any wind noise. -
I think this is a new TSB today because I checked my account yesterday and didn't see anything. When I called my dealer, they said they do not yet have much info on it since it is so new. I was the first to call about it. Just happy, Ford acknowledged it so I can get mine checked out. We have a ton of rain today and tomorrow but I feel if it has not leaked up to now, I am good.

I posted this in the other thread but will post here also. I have an appt. this Saturday to take a look. I would rather be proactive as I do not have water, yet. I will see if I can get an actual copy of the TSB and post it. I just logged into my Ford account online and saw this (I have an appt. on Saturday for them to take a look).... We found the following field service action listed on your vehicle. VIN: xxxxx FSA Title: A-PILLAR WATER LEAK INSPECTION AND REPAIR Field Service Action Number: 15B21 Be advised that this system tracks Recalls and Customer Satisfaction Programs for which vehicles are subject to repair in the United States. I will try and get a copy of the TSB from the dealer.- 478 replies

My sport says 22mpg average. I have about 2800 miles. I Do a mix of driving. I am not sure how accurate the built in function is though. 87 Octane fuel. Edit: Added octane number.

I just checked the Curt site and it says "All Except Sport" for a hitch. Maybe they changed it recently?

My grommet is still in place, but there is a lot of play. I will grab my trusty tube of black silicone and add a couple squirts. That should take care of it. Thanks for those that figured this out. Now, I just wait on the wet floor issue to have a better solution. Mine is not leaking but damn, if it was, I would be p*ssed.

I think I have one of the first sport models delivered to dealers and no leaks. Does this only occur when it sits or when you are driving? I've got about 2500 miles on my Edge. I would love to see some pictures so I can check mine.- 478 replies

I have a 32 GB USB and a 16 GB SD card installed. When I remove then reinsert them, it re-indexes. It takes about 15-20 min total, it seems to do the indexing. I can still play music while it indexes. I've kept all my files to .mp3 files which to me are fine for the car. All my stuff at home is .flac but the Ford doesn't read that type.

I have not noticed any maintenance screen. Since this is my first Ford, can you snap a picture? I may have seen it, just ignored it. I admit I do not drive it every day, but have 2500 miles on it (we went on vacation).

I bought a suction cup mount off Amazon. Do NOT stick it on the dash. I did for about a day and it left what I am hoping is a temporary coffee cup sized ring. I bought the Arkon Windshield or Dash Smartphone Car Mount for Apple iPhone 6 Plus iPhone 6 5 5S 5C Samsung Galaxy Note 4 3 S5 S4 Fire. Works awesome though. I was thinking about trying one of the vent mount or the ones that sit inside the CD player slot. I use the USB for charging. I agree, that a better place to put the phone to charge would be nice.

2015 EDGE and HIDS
tron1974 replied to Teddis's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Since I did not purchase the package with the HID lights, I called these guys and they obviously have not sent out any kits for the 2015 models. He said their existing kit should work. I read a number of threads that talk about melting wires and other light parts so I am a little worried. I might wait until others take the plunge and let them provide feedback. I would hate to ruin my shiny new Edge. -
More times than once, I caught myself hitting 100 MPH on I95 near DC where the speed limit was 70 and I didn't even notice.
-
I averaged 22.5 on my trip to NC last week. This was about 1800 miles highway and about 200 miles in stop and go traffic. With the way I drive it, anything above 20 is awesome.

Just checked and it doesn't look like mine was part of the recall. Ford Edge vehicles built between February 26, 2015 and February 28, 2015 at the Oakville Assembly Plant You can call Ford customer service at 800-392-3673 to check your VIN.

I have definitely found the doors harder to shut. On my recent trip, when my in-laws were in the car, I had to ask them to shut their doors a couple times. They are used to their crappy Rogue (oops my wife has one too, you can tell how much I love it).

I have not done a 0-60 time yet. I have 2500 miles on my Edge due to a family vacation last week. I put nearly 2000 miles on it. I suspect that my Torque app is not as accurate as the vBox.Did you try "Sport" mode?

After nearly 2500 miles on my 2015 (we had a trip to NC last week), I have heard a rattle in the dash but it turned out to be my keyring on my USB drive that I have connected. I have not noticed any other rattles that I cannot explain. I hope you figure it out and let the group know.

I think I have around 450 miles. I am seeing about 20 MPG mostly driving around town. On the highway, I get a lot more, not sure how much. I will be travelling to NC (12 hour trip) in a week and will let you know how well it performs on the highway. I am not sure why they are not shipping. My buddy at the dealership I bought from has 3 guys waiting for theirs. I think they still have a Tuxedo Black Titanium in their showroom.

Welcome to the club! I love mine still.

There is also a small storage I found next to your left knee. It looked like where the fuse panel would be but it is a little pop open storage. I just found it a couple days ago. There is a pass through under the center console with an anti-slip mat.

It's funny, my dealer has about 5 on order for customers. They are waiting, waiting, waiting. They do have one Titanium in the showroom in the tuxedo black (if I had known it was a metallic black I may have ordered that color, it's beautiful) . Just putting it out there, that I LOVE my Edge. It might not be as luxurious as a MKX but it is nice enough for me. I fit in it so well being 6'4" and I love the seats.
