Back in 2016, I bought my Titanium off the showroom floor 'cause it was the exact car I wanted, but now three years later I'm looking to buy a 2019 Titanium, BLACK with the "Elite" package, black interior and NO trailer hitch but the dealer can't find one for me. He did find one but it has a brown interior…… and it also has a trailer hitch which I do not want for these reasons: 1° I have one on my F350 pickup plus another one on my girlfriend's MKX so I definitely don't need a third one. 2° I don't feel like paying extra money for something I'll never use and last, I find the rear of the vehicle looks cleaner without a hitch. I'll tell the dealer to keep looking for another week and if he doesn't find one, then I'll have no other choice but to order one. I was told the price he gave me would remain the same but it could take up to 2 months… --> So this is why I was asking if someone here actually had to order their Edge because they couldn't find what they wanted on any dealer's lots?

If you're talking about the small deflectors just behind the front wheels then yes they keep snow and salt from building up at the bottom of the doors, but due to their relatively small size I doubt that they have any effect on aerodynamics and mileage... Claude.

Thanks Claude for your reply, I appreciate… I'm going back to my dealer tomorrow morning to pick up my '16 Edge (Titanium not Sport) which was there for some minor stuff (specifically updating the Sync3 system to version 3.0)… I definitely intend to take a closer look at the gorgeous black '19 Titanium they have in the showroom but I have a few personal requirements: 1° it has to be an "Elite" model (with all the chrome trim), 2° NO trailer hitch, and 3°of course loaded with navigation, Sync version 3.0, panoramic roof, etc… I have to ask them what's the best price I can get for the '19 model and also, if I sell the '16 myself, will the price for the new '19 model remain the same without a trade-in? There is someone in my family who might be interested in my '16... Anyways, I'll let you know how things turn out…and IF I do get the new '19 model, I'll get in touch with you to disable the horn's "double honk" and calibrate the turn signal lane changing to 6 flashes instead of 3. Well I dunno what to do anymore!… It's because I went to my dealer today for some maintenance on my '16 Edge and guess what… I fell in love with an all-black 2019 Titanium Elite which was in the showroom. (See picture) Funny but it's about the exact same story which happened to me back in '16 when I went to the dealer to have some work done on my '11 MKX and I saw an Electric Spice '16 Titanium…which I eventually bought and still have. I haven't spoken with a salesman yet so I don't have any idea of what kind of deal I could get but two weeks ago, they offered me between $30~$32k for mine. I have to go back to the dealer in two days so I might look at this more seriously. After reading all the replies I got here, I'm not as concerned about the 4cyl. engine as was in the beginning. I'm saying to myself that if it gets good reviews from about everyone here, then I guess I'd be happy with it. One thing I'm going to have to check is that if I want the one with the chrome mouldings at the bottom of the doors and body-color painted lower panels (like in the first picture) then I might have to get an Elite model, but I'm not sure. Also one detail which I especially like is that with an all-black vehicle, the black panel between the taillights blends in with the rest of the body and appears to be an actual part of the body when compared with any other body color (see second picture)... I'll keep you guys posted as how this eventually turns out... Claude.

The dealer offered me $30K~$32K for my Titanium. I know this is a pretty good offer but I don't feel getting back to having payments again now that the car is paid for. Speaking of that, I received a letter today from Ford Motor Credit basically saying that the car is now "paid in full"… Isn't that a great feeling...! Claude.

Well if it's the glass panel which is too much curved, unfortunately I'm afraid that you'll have no other choice but to take it to whoever did some repairs on it. You can't blame your local dealer for not wanting to touch it because they don't want to be held responsible for a job that was done elsewhere. What you could do is to compare it with another Edge to see if both glass are curved the same way… I find that odd though I would have thought that it's the metal panel which is not curved correctly… Good luck, Claude.

I went and bought a brand new 256GB usb drive, downloaded the update on it but (this is where everything comes to a stop) I cannot "unzip" the folders no matter what I try. I've tried with my iMAC home computer, I tried again with my laptop with "Windows 7" and last with my girlfriend's Apple laptop and it never worked, so I'm giving up and got an appointment at my Ford dealer in May and they'll try to help me... I do have "Windows" in my laptop but I use "Firefox" most of the time. Will that work? Also, when you talk about "formatting", do you mean erasing everything on the usb drive?… I suppose it's not necessary if the usb drive is brand new and has never been used before?... ..and about "extracting" the files, does it have to be done while they're on my computer or once they've been transferred to the usb drive? Thanks " candurin" for your reply… I'm still going to buy a usb drive because the 16GB unit I tried to use is not even mine so I might as well buy my own (32 or 64GB). As for "unzipping" files, I'm not sure how to do this… I have two computers, a big "iMac" with "Safari" and a Toshiba laptop with "Windows 7" …which one should I use? And last, I don't have an iPhone but an Android powered phone (Huawei P20 Pro), so I guess it's not "CarPlay" I need but rather "Android Auto"… Claude.

"onyxbfly", my dealer told me the same thing about replacing the usb ports. He ordered the parts for me but I'm still wondering why does that thing need to be changed?? He also told me --> to be sure the USB drive is not password protected and can hold at least 32GB of data. Well that might be one of the reasons why it didn't work as there was some other stuff on my usb drive but mostly because it had a capacity of only 16GB… So I'm going to buy a bigger usb drive and try again. Well I tried numerous times to download the update for the firmware and I never was able to make it work. I have absolutely ZERO knowledge in computers so I'll try asking my dealer to help me… As it is right now, I'm "back to square one". Claude.

I watched the ANDROID video but right at the beginning, it says that "owners of 2016 models with SYNC 3 are required to perform a software upgrade" …now where and how do I do that?? I checked in my car earlier today and it says that I have "SYNC 3 version 1.0 ". Is that good? Claude.

Yes I finally had it done yesterday at no charge. They installed a small deflector behind the front wheels and also replaced the long weatherstrip which runs the whole length of the rocker panel with a new one (that's shaped differently than the one it replaces probably to keep dirt from accumulating at the bottom of the doors). I know they're offering me a very decent price for my '16 but it's not how much they're offering me which is the problem… --> it's the fact that a replacement 2019 V6 Titanium isn't available anymore… and and Honestly no I haven't driven one… but maybe a little "road test" would convince me, but my dealer did not offer me to try one. The ST is out of my price range…. My salesman and I spoke about it a little but he said that they were around $55~$60K depending on the options… and there's still that all-black trim which like I said earlier is too much for me. Well, I went to my dealer today for an appointment I had and I spoke with one of the salesman and they offered me $32,000. for my '16 Titanium (loaded with all options and 44K kilometers ). We could have had a deal IF I could have had a new 2019 Titanium with a V6, but even if everyone tells me that the 4 cyl. turbo engine is quite responsive, I just can't see myself with a vehicle with that 4 cyl. engine. ? Too bad 'cause I really like the look of the new 2019 (especially the rear treatment with the new taillights and the black insert between them)... Claude ?
