  1. Thanks for your reply Ben but frankly, I doubt that walking away will make a difference…They just don't care if I buy it or not. If I don't buy it, someone else will... I just don't understand their thinking. Ever since the Edge came out back in 2006 (I think) it has always had a V6 and it sold well that way. Now we're in the middle of April and the 2019 models have been on sale since last fall and right now, I don't recall seeing a single new model on the road even once a day… Could it because of the lack of availability of a V6? Claude
  2. Does anyone here have an " Ingot Silver" ST model? My dealer want me to trade-in my '16 Titanium and since I never saw a silver one "in person", I'd like to see a few pictures if possible… Right now, it's about the only color I like for the ST… I also like black but it's too much maintenance and because of the all-blacked out trim, it makes way too much black for me. If there was more chrome, then I might be interested in a black one but not the way it is now. thanks, Claude.
  3. My dealer called me not once, but twice saying that they have someone "interested" in my loaded '16 Titanium and they want to see me to talk about it… Funny but I never showed them any intention to sell my Edge. I assume they want to sell me a new one and take mine in a trade. I'm not against listening to offers but the problem is this: I like the chromed version of the Titanium but it only comes with a 4 cyl. engine which in I'm not interested. The only one available with a V6 is the ST model which is nice (also more expensive) but I don't like the "blacked out" trim on it (black side windows trim, black wheels, black grille, etc)… It might be appealing to some but it's too much black for me. I prefer more "bling". Also I find that there's not such a big choice of colors and the only one I'd see myself happy with would be the "Ingot Silver". Too bad Ford doesn't offer the V6 in the Titanium 'cause then I'd take what they have to offer me more seriously. I'm seeing my dealer this Wednesday so I'll see how it turns out. Claude.
  4. Why not a 2014 "Gotta Have It Green" like on the '13-'14 Mustangs?…That would really "pop"! … or like "Chipster" said in his initial post, a Teal green would also look great. Claude.
  5. The dealer told me that when doing the work prescribed on the service bulletin that they were indeed installing some kind of plastic protector part from the inside of the rear door to protect the glass from rubbing on the metal frame. It does not have anything to do with the defroster being on or off. Claude.
  6. It takes less time…and time is money, simple as that. Claude.
  7. I don't mean to "rub it in" but I think that's it. Claude.
  8. --> "jmr061" is right, that's NOT them…The ones you posted are in front of the rear wheels… The ones we're talking about go behind the front wheels to prevent dirt thrown by the front wheels from ending up on the edge ( ) of the bottom of the doors . The TSB also inculdes some new weatherstrips. My dealer ordered them for me and he's supposed to give me a call when the parts are in to schedule an appointment. He said there shouldn't be any charge for this mod. Claude.
  9. Why? Because they want MORE POWER, simple as that. Claude.
  10. They should fit in the body but I'm not sure about the bulb or the connectors... Claude.
  11. I was told something like "we have several buyers looking for clean low miles cars like yours"… Yeah sure… I think that if it's clean and has low miles, then it's good for me! As for my TI vs. a new ST, well the only reason why I'd want a ST (if I were going to change) is because it's now the only one which can be had with a V6 and I'm not interested in a 4 cyl. Also I agree with what you said…I already have two "toys" (a '71 Chevelle SS and an '87 Buick Grand National) and my Edge is my "everyday driver" so I'm keeping it….and one last thing to back up my decision is that my last payment is in April and I want to be done with that. Claude.
  12. Good move!… … BUT… if it's working fine here…then why not stay here instead of going back to the previous server?? Claude.
  13. "Cindy19", It's true that starting in 2016, Edges have the SYNC3 version. I have a '16 Titanium and I did experience the stalling problem while vacationing in Florida but at the time, I didn't know that it was the throttle body that went bad. I was able to drive to a local Ford dealer and they diagnosed the problem which was indeed the throttle body being defective. They replaced it under warranty and I've never had any problem whatsoever since. Also, last year my local dealer told me about a recall about the back glass which could shatter (mine didn't) and they did the required preventive recall modification at no charge. Other than these two issues, I've never had any problem with my Edge….The dealer asked me last week if I'd be interested in trading it for a new '19, but I said "no" and that I would keep my '16 for a few more years. So I'd say to you go ahead and get a nice '16! Claude.
  14. My dealer called me today to ask me if I'd be interested in trading in my '16 Titanium for a new 2019 model… …but I think I'm going to keep mine as my last payment will be in next April. I replied to him that the only model I'd be interested in is the ST model because it's the only one which has a 6 cyl. engine. He said to come see him next time I come in for some maintenance and that he'd take me for a road test in a '19 ST… I don't want to let myself be tempted so I maybe I should pass on the road test … What do you guys think?... Claude.
  15. Wow…those are sure U-G-L-Y!…
  16. The wheels are factory 20"s and the tires are Maxtrek M7's 245-50-20 winter tires. As for the mileage, since I don't drive my car every day, it's hard to say exactly how much mileage (or kilometers here in Canada) they have but they're still in great condition with plenty of thread . Claude. LINK: https://www.4tires.ca/tires/maxtrek-trek-m7-summer
  17. When you say "wheels plus $", how much did you have in mind?... Claude.
  18. It's just that I was under the impression that you needed 20"s because the 21's were too big for your Sedan… but that's ok. If you ever change your mind, just let me know... Have some Happy Holidays! Claude.
  19. Well ok then… I have no other choice but to pass... Claude.
  20. Then you can use them in the summer time!……but unfortunately, no cash… The Holiday Season cost me too much already! I would've been ready to travel to your area so we could switch the wheels and then drive back home… Claude. toofastforyou@sympatico.ca
  21. "037", I'd be willing to trade you my 20" wheels(+ winter tires) for yours… Let me know if interested at : toofastforyou@sympatico.ca Claude.
  22. Thanks for the link… It looks like a little "flap" to prevent road dirt from being thrown under the doors… I'll ask my dealer about it... Thanks again, Claude. P.S: --->…but I still insist that washing the area at the bottom of the doors when washing the car can't hurt either!
  23. I'm not talking about the weatherstrip pulling off. I'm talking about dirt accumulating at the bottom of the doors. There is no "remedy" other than simply washing them off. Claude.
  24. Easy… Every time I wash my car, I hose off the mud and snow at the bottom of the doors, then I wash the whole car and when I'm done, I wipe the car dry with a chammy and also wipe off the area in the door jambs … Simple eh?… Claude.
