I've decided I won't take the extended maintenance service plan…. not because it' s not good but because it's $4,000. ! Claude.

It depends if you plan to do lots of mileage or not and also if you plan to keep the vehicle for a long time… If you answered "yes" to one or both these questions then it might be a good thing for you. I'm taking delivery of my new '19 Edge this coming thursday and will probably buy the extended maintenance plan they offer. It might be expensive but like I said, if you keep the car for a long time then it will eventually pay for itself. Keep in mind that I'm talking about an extended maintenance plan (oil, brakes, wiper blades, battery, etc…), not a warranty in case something goes wrong. Claude.

The only mods on my Edge are mostly cosmetics… Custom chrome 22" wheels, polished stainless steel license frame, (and maybe polished stainless steel door pillars, tinted windows and a clear protective film on the whole front end to protect against stone chips. I've never done any "performance" mods though... Claude.

Yes I love my Edge. In fact all of my three Edges are still in the family. My first one (2011 MKX) is now belongs to my girlfriend, next I'm selling my second one (2016 Titanium) to my father-in-law in at the end of the month and I my third one (2019 Titanium Elite) is on order which I should get pretty soon. Consider yourself lucky that the previous owner had the car rustproofed with some oil based anti-rust product. I have mine oil sprayed every fall before winter to prevent moisture from getting trapped inside the body panels and also the whole underside of the car. Choose a good dry day to have it done and let it "soak" and drip for one or two days before washing the car. That way, everywhere that water would go will be oily preventing any rust from forming. A little update…My new Edge should arrive at my dealer sometime during the first week of July… Can't wait!! It's going to be L-O-A-D-E-D, (incl. the dvd players). The only missing option will be the trailer hitch which I didn't want 'cause I already have a pickup with a hitch on it. Claude.

I finally have the numbers… The dealer will give me $29K + taxes = $33,342. for my '16 Titanium. I have a new one already on order and it should be here in about 2 months. The amount to finance for a new '19 Titanium will be $21,660. but at 3.99%, I'll write them a check and be done with it 'cause at that interest rate, it adds $5k at the end of the payments. Claude.

Debbie, bring your Edge to another dealer. The vista ("panoramic") roof shouldn't be making any road noise at all. I've had two Edges (and I've just ordered a new 2019), all with the vista roof and there has never been any road noise coming from them. Good luck, Claude.

Well that's exactly what happened. My dealer, seeing that he was not able to find what I wanted anywhere finally decided to order one even without asking me to give him a deposit. I'm expecting a two months wait. Claude.
