So true. I don't bother making any attempt to use my diagnostics crystal ball if the poster can't make the effort to provide basic information such as "checked for fluid on my garage floor and driveway, but nothing", or "some white exhaust smoke when starting".

You cant clean O2 sensors. Shop around for Bosch sensors, and look on RockAuto.com where you'll find OEM Motocraft for a whole lot less than the price you posted. Sensor 1 is directly after the exhaust manifold and upstream of the CAT.

I don't attempt using the forum search, just go with Google.

Just updated mine v3.0 to v3.0 - took about 10 to 15 minutes and all that changed was the build number and it added Waze and Ford-Alexa WTF can't Ford display the updates as v3.0.XX
-
How to you find the full version number, mine only shows v3.0, and the Ford owners web site says that the v3.0 update is available.
-
This thread prompted me to check for updates on https://owner.ford.com and it shows that "Software update SYNC3 v3.0 is available!" , but I updated to v3.0 in April 2019. Where are you guys getting v3.2 and v3.4 ?

It's not only turbo charged engines that benefit from a catch can, ...... all engines that have the Positive Crank Case Ventilation plumbed into the intake manifold benefit from a catch can. Turbo engines typically have more piston blow-by, so the catch can does a little more work on them.

Wished I could have got map updates at that eBay price for my 2017 Sport.

Door striker covers and door stopper caps1004ron replied to 1004ron's topic in Accessories & Modifications Nice blue ones, but that's not for the later model Edge. It's useful if you actually post a direct link to the product, not the home page.

The last time I had "The Works" lube service done at the dealership the indicated that the tires were rotated, which is part of "The Works", but they were not rotated. Most car manufactures have you deal direct with the tire manufacturer for warranty on them - best discuss this with the dealership first considering the work that they were meant to do, which could have caused the tire problem, and they might decide to involve the tire manufacturer, or deal with it themselves. I've got 47K miles on mine, and looking like I'll be changing them at 55K miles.

Great, and the first picture shows the port for "Sensor 2" downstream sensor that the OP is looking to confirm.
-
I see it, but can't tell if its after the first CAT - the Front/1st O2 sensor is immediately after the exhaust manifold, and these days the 1st CAT is also very close to the exhaust manifold.
-
I trust that you no longer seek advice from him. I recall that there was improvements made on the later models, where the pump leak path is outside the engine - maybe others more familiar with this model can confirm.

It is the one after the first catalytic converter - cant tell clearly from your photo.

Why is this site servers so unreliable ?1004ron replied to 1004ron's topic in Forum Help & Site Suggestions You're welcome, although history suggests that its not too obvious.

Why is this site servers so unreliable ?1004ron replied to 1004ron's topic in Forum Help & Site Suggestions If I was paying for it, I'd be having a serious discussion with service provider, making it clear that I'd be looking at alternate providers.

Out of the 4 auto forums I frequent, this one is the most unreliable - so often down and no notice that its under maintenance etc.

Rotors & Pads..Power Stop, Stoptech or EBC?1004ron replied to ThugFordEdge3.5's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension I don't use a torque wrench on my wheel lugs, and I don't believe the lug torque could cause the rotor warp - Mine warped at around 35K miles. I installed the Z23 brake rotor and pad kit seen in the below thread - $169 on Amazon, seller was Jeggs - shipped directly from the maker in 2 days - got about 4K miles on them now and they're great - no vibration when breaking at high speed, and good grip.

Comprehensive List of Possible Forscan Mods?1004ron replied to ben senise's topic in Accessories & Modifications Gear # indication. A while back I drove a rental Expedition and it showed gear position all the time - is there a way to do the same on the Edge? If you use the paddles it will briefly display the gear # that its just shifted to - is there an option to have it display gear # at all times?

SYNC3 Map Updates Available On Line1004ron replied to jmr061's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC Just a few months after purchasing my 2017 Sport new, I got a Sync3 update free, and a couple more free Sync3 updates over the past couple of years - using your reasoning, shouldn't they have charged for that? At the time of purchase the maps were around three years old - yes I can get by with them, but its not unreasonable to expect more frequent map updates (free or paid).
-
I've had my Sport for 2.5 years but never set up this keypad, mainly because I didn't think I'd ever use it, but this thread perked my interest. When do you guys use this keypad?
-
It could be a number of things, parasitic draw, battery failing prematurely, ...... With it being new , my suggestion would be to have the dealership do a parasitic draw test and a battery load test. You could also get the battery load test done at free at places like Autzone, and at least you'll know before heading to the dealership.

SYNC3 Map Updates Available On Line1004ron replied to jmr061's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC Last week I was downtown and the new NA 1 18 map had the extensive road works and flyovers covered, in addition to my home address - pleased with the update, but disappointed that my 2017 that shipped with way out of date maps, and this update wasn't free like the 2018 and 2019 models.
