  1. I hear the pain, but I wouldn't judge Ford based on one rep. My guy is top notch, no BS and I complete my deals (3 so far) in 15 minutes. Why? I come prepared with what options I want, with what the dealer invoice is and with knowing what the minimal margin he wants. If you're still interested in the Edge and if you haven't already done so, try another dealership before jumping brand.
  2. Just drove a new SEL 2.0EB today. I currently have a 2011 Ltd. I didn't floor it but drove it as if on the on ramp to a highway. Yes, there's that ½ second lag, but I was impressed by the 2.0. I believe the 275 torque @ 3000 rpm (versus my 2011 253@4000 rpm) makes a difference even if it has 40 hp less. Overall it felt zippier than my 2011 V6. What a beast that 2.7EB must be... dealer hadn't received any Sport yet.
  3. I much prefer what you really meant rather than what I thought you meant That's good news! So you can feel that little bump on the outside of the door handle on all 4 doors, or is it a different system now?
  4. I believe you're referring to "Can lock/unlock vehicle by all doors now, not just the front (keyless vehicles) Have that as well with my 2011 Ltd ?". I think Magnetic Edge meant that unlocking from the remote or unlocking either front door (keyless entry) can unlock all 4 doors at the same time, if programmed to do so.
  5. Have you tried breaking and repairing? Seems the BT conversation doesn't go well between Sync and your S4. Which version of Sync are you running? P.S. My S4 runs fine in my 2011 (latest Sync)
  6. Try p. 219 and following.
  7. If you're talking about the 20" wheels, then yes, they're both 245/50-20
  8. A lot of discussion around "doc fee". I haven't seen this in Canada, at least not under that labeling. What is it exactly?
  9. Mine is 295xx, scheduled build date April 13th.
  10. Interesting... So, if I got this right, if you wanted to extend your lease for let's say 1 year, you could pay for the extra 12 months?
  11. Actually, the Sports only gets Ebony:
  12. In the 2015 Edge brochure, under "Estimated Fuel Consumption Ratings" on page 8, although all the figures are still xx.x in my edition (Canadian), there are 2 sections for the 2.0L EcoBoost 4-cylinder: with and without start-stop. Has anyone seen updated figures that distinguish between the two?
  13. Nice ! Big enough to keep most of the valuable stuff you want out of sight.
  14. oskar27, I was in your exact situation, also from Montreal, a few months back. I wanted to extend my lease (up end of May) so I could get the 2016 Edge. No go said my dealer. He also confirmed what others have said that Ford Credit will extend the lease until you receive your already ordered next vehicle. So, at 0.99%, I decided to buy a 2015 and might decide to sell it once I see the 2016 and its track record. Like you, my 2011 Ltd is in top shape with 46000 km. Looking around, I think I could sell it anywhere from $2500 to $6500 above residual value. Worth the try.
  15. Thanks. Unfortunately, The Play Store says none of my devices are compatible (S4, S5). It only says 'no carrier'. I suspect, again, this is a US only app.
  16. I could not find your app on Play Store. What's its exact name and developer?
  17. I tried to plug in my VIN on that site but get "invalid VIN": <Response status="FAILURE" ttl="86400"> <debug/> <Error> com.forddirect.services.exception.WindowStickerInvalidArgumentException: Argument : VIN- Invalid VIN passed. </Error> <Message>Argument : VIN- Invalid VIN passed.</Message> </Response> My VIN does match at Ford Etis, but that shows very little information at this time (Edge not built yet). I'm looking for that sheet I've seen, can't remember where, that shows the various dates (expected build, actual build, etc.). Anyone have access to that?
  18. For me things are rolling at least. Got my VIN: scheduled build date April 13th, hopefully at dealer 3-4 weeks later.
  19. The way it could have gone was using the Bluetooth pairing, or the WiFi to the phone's access point, to get that info (yes, some app would have been required on the phone). GM's OnStar failed because it required a separate cell account, at a stiff price, that an owner would only use (mostly) in emergencies. OnStar had no customization options, no visual interface, no app ecosystem. The trend will be BYOD to the car to get interactive services.
  20. This caught my eye "A car equipped with Sync 3 will be able to connect to the Internet over a Wi-Fi connection and download new features straight onto its hard drive". I hope the mention of a hard drive by the author was just a slip and he really meant anything but mechanical storage
  21. There is already a thread on 2015 Edge pricing (http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17456-price-paid-for-2015-edge-thread/). How is this one different?
  22. I ordered the Cognac with Magnetic exterior. It's a hit & miss looking at the Photoshop's and videos under weird lighting; I would have preferred seeing it 'live' beforehand. But, to be subjective as you were, I can't understand someone ordering the traditional 100 year old black interior which looks exactly like 100 000 000 other cars; as for the light colors, like ceramic, I guess it's ok if you always wear your space suit and get sanitized before going in. Just pulling your leg .. but there might be a subliminal message in there somewhere...
