A lot of non premium vehicles are priced at more than 55k.
I define a premium price as something that's priced at more than what it's worth.
Financial status has nothing to do with the conversation.
Has anyone had the opportunity to evaluate the heat output in extreme cold weather? How long does it take to get up to operating temperature? We're in a bit of a deep freeze up here of late and that's when I like to test drive vehicles. Unfortunately no Edge ST's on the lot at any of the 7 dealerships in town.
The ST runs out of steam rather quickly. No point flogging it past 4,500 rpm. The Sport at least makes power to close to 5,500. You don't see loops on a dyno graph very often. Maybe some slippage when the turbos spooled up.
Those are peak gains at a specific rpm point. The maximum gain is 28 HP. If you're comfortable with potentially forfeiting your warranty for 28 HP go for it. I did that when I supercharged my Mustang and didn't have a problem with it because its not my daily driver.
After reading about mwilson6192's unfortunate situation I'd be reluctant to do any mods on an Edge ST.
I'd be bouncing off the walls by now. It looks like you've been dealing with an incompetent service advisor. Hopefully your escalating it with Ford corporate results in an expedited and positive outcome.
I always go straight to management when things go off the rails.
I feel your pain, I've been there.
I'd hold off for a while and give the the other tuners time to develop their tunes for this model. First to the party isn't always the best plan.
There are alternatives to overwriting the ECM and leaving yourself vulnerable to potential warranty denials.

Piped in or synthesized by the audio system? On my Mustang it was literally piped in through the firewall into the interior via a tube from the intake. A really dumb idea that was at least easy to disable with a plug and a cap.
Yes CD's are digital and the information stored on them is converted back to analog with a CD player with a DAC of dubious quality. Why not go digital straight to the head unit?
There's a reason why CD players are on the verge of obsolescence.
If you need to spend time adjusting parameters to get things to sound good, the system wasn't designed properly in the first place. I use the FLAC format at a sample rate of 192 kHz. I gave up on CD's years ago. Why convert from digital back to analog when you can go digital all the way?
The Sony/Ford premium audio system I had in a previous ford was awful. I'm sure the B&O system will sound a lot better. How could it not? I'll be sure to comment on this further when I get a chance to road test an ST.
I had an Acura RDX with the decent sounding ELS system and currently have a Sorento with the Infinity Premium audio system (12 speakers and 680 watt 11 channel amp) that I can benchmark it against.
Most owners will not be doing track days with their Edge ST's. I'm also fairly certain most wont give two figs about what the compound formulation of their brake pads are either.
I wonder what this transmission is rated at for maximum torque and HP? Maybe they dialed back the initial hit of power for the sake of transmission longevity.
Hopefully they are stronger than the MT-82 manual transmission we mustang owners have had to contend with.
They also have a tendency to release production vehicles with glaring flaws. My 2013 Focus Titanium was a good example. The stench of that 8 month ownership experience is only now starting to subside.
