Group 65 Battery in 2nd Gen Possible?
Wubster100 replied to omar302's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
I went for a 30 minute city drive and the battery SOC increased from 34% to 39%. Once I parked I almost immediately lost Fordpass. The vehicle has about 70k miles, and I got it used, so I don’t know what happened in the past. I did use it to jump start a vehicle once. -
Group 65 Battery in 2nd Gen Possible?
Wubster100 replied to omar302's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
I think I will have to go with an H7 battery. My current battery is about 3 years old. The auto start stop hasn’t worked for about 10 months. The radio doesn’t stay on after the engine turns off. I always get the system off to save power message. When I start the car I have to wait a little while for the screen to turn on. Fordpass only stays connected for about an hour. The keyless entry stopped working. The biggest problem is not being able to use Fordpass to remote start, because it’s getting cold out. -

@onyxbflyDo you have any photos of the H7 battery installed? -

Is H7 the maximum size that will fit or has anyone tried to install a H8 battery? -
For 2019-2020 Edge, you must disconnect the brake lines and replace the entire abs module. Then you need to enter your VIN number and complete the ABS calibration. This can all be done using FORScan. Stop and go, lane centering, and evasive steering assist all work. For 2021-2024 Edge, more information is still needed because PATS immobilizer could be part of the ABS module. FORScan does not currently support ABS service functions or PATS service functions for 2021-2024 Edge. I am going to order an ABS module for my 2021.

The factory tow package includes a trailer tow module for trailer sway control. -
2022 Edge panic stops and turns hard left.

I have heard from someone that tested evasive steering assist. They claim that it felt like the vehicle basically switched lanes by itself after pushing the steering wheel over to the left. -

Are there any aftermarket audio accessories or other modifications? If pre collision assist was activated, then the IPC should have given a warning, and the ACM should have temporarily muted the radio. -

Is there also evasive steering assist? -

2022 Edge panic stops and turns hard left.

It seems like automatic emergency brakes were applied, and the steering wheel got pushed to the left. Evasive steering assist applied additional steering torque to the left. -
The lights look very nice! Lots of detailed photos. Thanks for sharing. It doesn't look like these new lights are able to reflect light, so it doesn't seem legal. I wonder if the original reflectors are able to be modified to fit lights inside of them. It seems impossible to find used ST / Titanium lights without paying a high price. I would love to know if it is possible to physically fit the center tail light from a 2015-2018 Edge.

Ambient Lighting Finished! 💡
Wubster100 replied to Wubster100's topic in Accessories & Modifications
The factory illuminated cup holders were not plug and play for my vehicle. I did not have any wiring for ambient lighting from the factory. The cup holders have 2 wires for power, and one wire for “data” or the LIN bus. I had to insert a new wire into the BCM, and run it up to the cup holders. I also had to make changes in FORScan to enable the ambient lighting controls on the touchscreen. -

My Ford Touch New Software Release
Wubster100 replied to tjbron's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
The OTA updates seem to be difficult to get. My 2021 is very behind on SYNC updates. I don’t have full screen CarPlay and a bunch of other features. I think the only way to instantly update the system is to use FDRS. -
I have my halogen turn signals set to be turn signals, but I used FORScan to set the running lights to do the same thing as the DRL. I thought from the factory the turn signal bulbs are only for turn signals and running lights, but I have seen another Edge on the road and the turn signals also functioned as running lights. Did something change with the turn signals throughout 2019-2024? From the factory my turn signals never operated as running lights.

@HazDo you have more information on this for 2019-2024? Can the ECU be separated?
