Car ID pulled a big bait and switch on me.They sent a lesser product but charged me for the better product I ordered. I got the runaround for weeks. It wasn't until I told them that I was filing a complaint with their states Attorney General did I finally get my refund.

I too have had customer service problems with them. I used the online chat on their website to get the item number for floor mats with the Mustang running horse logo (for my Mustang of course). When the mats arrived they were plain with no logo at all. Their customer service claimed it was my fault for not ordering the right item. Even after I sent them the transcript of the online chat (twice) it took almost two weeks and multiple phone calls before they finally admitted their mistake and sent replacement mats. I have no plans to ever buy from them again.

Almost ordered a new hood from them buit after reading some reviews and y'alls experiences.... Think I will look elsewhere.

Yeah buddy! I will be sure to steer clear of them now that I've been warned. Shady business practices should be rewarded with lost sales.

CARid can be shady, but I've bought stuff from them without issue more than once.  It goes on my CC, so who cares if they try some BS?  If they screw me, I'll have the CC company reverse the charges.

I ordered a bug shield for my 2015 f150.  It was a Stampede "CLEAR" shield.  Box came, and it was a SMOKE colored one.  Called them, they recognized the problem, as THEIR ERROR, and sent me a clear one.  Tole me to keep, or trash the smoke colored one. I sold it to a guy that had just bought a new pick up.

 

HOWEVER, my buddy ordered 2 new fog lights for his 2002 F150 KR.  One was broken in the shipping box, that showed NO EVIDENCE of damage to the box.  He called them up, got a girl who couldn't/didn't speak English well.  After 45 minutes on the phone, she FINALLY got him hooked up with someone else, (her boss), and was told a new one would be sent out immediately !!  He is still waiting as far as I know.

 

Their phone jockey's leave a lot to be desired !!!

I stop using them along time ago because of their poor Customer Service and issues I had when ordering a couple of items.
