I've been using Collinite 845 Insulator wax, have been a happy camper with iy, but was wondering................ has anyone tried Collinite Super Double Coat auto wax? It's a paste, supposed to last up to a year. Centuries ago, Dupont had a paste wax on the market that was called New Car wax. If memory serves me right, it was carnuba paste, hard as hell to work with, but, damn, it lasted and lasted, and water beaded up like no other wax would do. It was so good, that's probably why they quit making it !

Do you really drive that much to switch to the hybrid? Calculate the amount you will save in gasoline costs with the hybrid verses the Sport, and then take into consideration how much you will loose on the Edge dollar wise, and also the extra ????'s that the hybrid will cost you, unless, of course, you go for Lincoln MKZ, where hybrid or gas are the same price. I sat in a new Fusion at the dealership when they first came out, not bad inside, but a little cramped for my liking.

I've been using Lucas Slick Mist tire & trim shine, been happy with it. Also works great on black/grey trim on cars.

I have a '12 MKX, and the seats are GREAT ! Power lumbar, glove soft leather, heated & cooled, what more could a person ask for.

Yeah Andy, let us know how it works. It will give me something to do after I have surgery for right knee torn meniscus (3rd time). Holding off on surgery til end of month, so we can go to a 3 day Polka festival on Memorial weekend out in Ohio(Cleveland suburbs). Wife thinks I'm nuts, she's probably right, but WTF !

My wife had problems when her MKS was about 6 month old hen you would accelerate from a stop, at times, the trans would BANG when going into second gear. Turns out, they had to replace 3 sensors in the trans. All has been fine since.

I was going to post exactly what MickeyCondon posted (previous post). New Edge's & MKX's are sweet, very happy with the performance of my brakes. Have your mom take a new Edge/MKX out for a spin.

Unfortunately, this is a part of the car that seldom gets cleaned, unless you go to a hand wash car wash, that cleans and dries the door jams, and also this part of the door. Automatic car washes will never clean this area, thus causing rust to form. Also winter road salts don't help the matter. Best bet is to carefully wire brush, or even better, use a dremel, treat with rust inhibitor, and even use touch up paint on top. Most of all, try and clean this area yourself, even if youn go to a car wash. I might be totally anal, but when I wax the cars, I also wax inside the door jams, and even this part of the door. Yeah, takes some time, but I've never had rust problems, and have kept cars for as long a 9 years.

Since my last update, when I shut off the car and restart it, the music starts playing from the 1st alphabetical album, not the last album/song played. A real P.I.T.A. !

My dealership put me in contact with a guy that does paintless dent removal, his price for door dent removal is about $90-$100. Comes out perfectly, no repainting of a panel due to use of body filler, and also a heck of a lot cheaper.

I have AWD in my "X", just wanted to have 1 vehicle with it. but I understand from other forum members, they do fine with FWD. I don't know what to say. If you know of a dealer you can trust, ask them what the percentage is in sales for FWD vs AWD, might help you with your decision. I know that your area can get blasted during the winter month, don't know exactly where you are located, but I have friends in Northfield, Stow, and Burton, all with AWD vehicles. If I had it my way, we would be living out in Sagamore Hills, but the wife won't leave Jersey.

KingMike You might want tom checkm their website - WWW.BILLITBADGES.COM. They have lots out there, and also do custom work, according to their site. You could have one done in Red to match your Edge, and have the lettering of 'KingMike', now would that be cool or what ?

Who would have thunk it was due to speed compensating volume. I'm sure that many will be thankful form your post. I keep mine low, so I guess this is why I haven't experienced any problems.
