  1. When you are in 4 square (home) mode, you don't have to tap each corner to get to that particular function, you can tap on each section. Hit voice button, and it comes up with a screen with commands you can say. Not sure what else, just upgraded Friday.
  2. Thanks 08EdgeLimited, even though we don't pump our own gas here in NJ, I often get out to "top it off" after initial click off, many times adding another 1/2 to 3/4 gallon. From now on, I'll just round off 25 cents or so, to the next dollar.
  3. The best with the Denali. and REALLY GLAD to see you kept your hard earned $$$$$ in the american cars.
  4. A real sweet lookin ride ! Enjoy, and welcome to the Forum.
  5. Welcome to the Forum, a great place to hang out. Lets see, you hail from WI, and have a nice name of 'Ski'. By any chance, might you be Polish, too ?
  6. Rubber cement, or liquid nails. My neighbor had the same problem with his weather techs, I used Liquid nails, 'cause that's what I had laying around the house, and it's been holding for about 7 months, so far.
  7. Had a issue with the brakes on my wife's '09 MKS, had about 45,000 miles on it when I brought it in. It was making strange sounds, not a scraping sound, just weird sounds. The dealership said that there were 2 TSB's, one for front brakes, one for rear ones. Well, they did new calipers front & rear, new rotors in the front, turned the rear ones, and new pads front & rear. Total cost on my part was 0 / nada / nothing ! Don't know if it's just our dealership, or because they like me so much! :hyper: LMAO
  8. Sorry to read all about this, from your daughter, to the accident, but thank god, everyone is okay. Cars can be repaired or eplaceds, people can't, so be thankful. I try not to drive and talk (hands free), you do get distracted. Here in N.J., it's against to talk on the phone, unless, of course, hands free. I can't believe how many people I see texting while driving (mostly young girls). Maybe, if they passed a law throughout the country, regarding texting while driving, giving 2-3 year license suspension (1st offense). Does that sound harsh, maybe, but 2 years ago, a cousin of mine, and daughter were killed in a accident because some jerkoff was speeding, and not paying attention as he should have been. No reason for this.
  9. The steel wool, as mentioned above, and a little cleaner wax (Meguires) should do the trick.
  10. Sister in law has a CR-V, not a bad car,l but in no way, shape, or form, can you compare it to the Edge.
  11. Think I'll just stick with version 3.2 for now, and avoid any problems !
  12. Years ago, I went to Home Depot, picked up foam insulation for copper water pipes, came in 4 foot lengths, and used liquid nails tom glue to the wall - presto, protection no matter which car I park against the walls. Check it out: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Armacell-Tubolit-3-4-in-x-6-ft-Polyethylene-Pipe-Wrap-Insulation-OEP07838/100539941#.UgrRmJjD_Hs
  13. No idea what's wrong, but I would get it back to the dealer to get it checked out.
  14. Yesterday, I got a letter in the mail to go to website SUPPORT.LINCOLN.COM to download versio 3.6, which I have not yet done. I am wondering if Ford offers updates for free, might be worth looking in to.
  15. Ya don't find too many dealerships like that any longer. Maplecrest in Union, NJ, is also a good place to deal with. Some of the "new" sales people have to learn to be more laid back,,but for the most part, all is fine, especially service dept and advisors.
  16. Welc0ome to the Forum, and enjoy your new Edge. Any questions, ask away, someone will probably have an answer for you.
  17. Somewhere in this forum, it is mentioned, try doing a search on it, and congrats on the Edge.
  18. Jared, Couldn't believe what I just read is actually true, but I know that it is. I wish I could come over and cut your neighbors friggin balls off, at least for a start. When you getthe report from the vet, go to the authorities, and press charges against the muther. I know what it is like to loose a pet, but tom have something like this happen is beyond belief. He's now your angel watching over you. Again, so sorry. Joe
  19. My wife's '09 MKS has buttons & dials, that's how I like it. With my MKX, if I want to put the A/C seats on, I have to exit nav screen to put it on, among other functions. It's a lot easier with buttons & dials, so glad they are coming back. Don't get me wrong, I love the MKX, just 'old school' stuff better.
  20. Back in May, at a Polka festival,in Ohio, picked up 2 cd's from 2 different Polka bands. Same problem - band 1 show's only track number, and band 2 cd shows artist, song title, etc. Go figure. Will have to check this out.
  21. Well, after having my MKX for almost 2 years, I woke up the other day, and realized, that with my air conditioned front seats, the cool air only comes out from the seat cushion that you sit on, but not the seat back. With my wife's '09 MKS, air comes out from both. Should I expect from both, or just the cushion ?
  22. Congrats on the Edge, welcome aboard, and ask away, if any questions. If no questions, read posts and learn.
  23. Do youself a favor, wax it with Collinite 845 - Insulator wax. SHAKE very well before using.
  24. How the heck are you driving ? Around town, I'm doing around 17 (3.7 - MKX). Went out to Ohio last month, doing 70-80 (sometimes 85) an still got a very respectable 22.5 - 23 mpg. On a few shorter trips into Pa, doing 63-65 mph, I have hit 26 - damn good !
