I got the all weather (winter) mats when I bought my MKX, all rubber, and they cover the Dead area. Might want to check them out.

Welcome to the Forum, and congrat's on your Edge. Hard to say if you got a good deal. Here in Jersey, you see ;07 Edges from around $15,000 to $18,000. Most important is that you're happy and enjoying it.

Congrats on your new BMW, many happy and safe motoring miles with it. Sure hope that Ford gets to the bottom of the shut down problem, before someone gets seriously injured, or killed. Personally, I think that today's cars have too much electronic shit running them. Hell, give me a car with a carburator and manual coke control. God, am I dating myself or what?

Don't know of anyone else having this problem. Just get it back to the dealer, and get it documented.

Too bad some company doesn't come out with an aftermarket foot rest. Say, maybe black with stainless trim?

I feel bad for all of you pot there with problems, but worse for those that buy the Edge you traded in for another make. It's kind of like 'oh well, I got screwed, so now I can let someone else get screwed too'. :stop:

Really no difference, unless you go for the ecoboost. My MKX is getting 26+ mpg's at 65 mph, improving more and more as I put on more miles. Right now, I have 7,100 miles on it, and I also have AWD. If you go with just front wheel drive, you will probably see 3+ mpg's over the AWD.

I know that TIRERACK.COM has a large selection of wheels. Might want to do a search in the forum for "wheels", some members have bought wheels, I just don't remember where.

When waxiing the wheels, first I use a wax with a cleaner in it, to remove any dirt/brake dust that might be embedded, then I use either Meguires Gold, or a Synthetic wax, like Mothers. Joe

I might be anal, but I wax my rims (wheels) at least 3 times a year. Years ago, had aftermarkets, and never had a problem.............BUT, if you don't keep them clean, whey will get mucked up !

Get them to check it out and documented. If not the shock sensor, it might be something else. Today's cars are great, but also very complecated. Have friends in Northfield & Burton, R U near either ?

I believe that ambient lighting can be installed by the dealer, only thing is that it might not have color choices. Not sure about this.

Wish u luck with your problem. I don't know much about Buhler's service dept, I would give them a call, see what they have to say, and what they can do for you. I had a LG phone, then got a iphone, no problems with either one of them. Sync'd 1st time, and connects every time. If my wife takes out my "X", her iphone connects right away, even though mine is set as "Fav".

Brooklyn isn't that far from me, in NJ, I'm about 25 minutes from Goethals Bridge (NJ to SI).

Had 1 or 2 issues when I first got my "X", ok since upgrade back in April. Jenn, you're not far from me, did you get your Edge at Bell Ford? If you did, and are not happy with service their, try Maplecrest over in Union, they are wonderful.

Don't know what the problem would be, but it's far from normal. Heck, sometimes if the wife and I go shopping, I'llm go sit in the car for 1/2 - 3/4 hour, and never experienced anything like that. Maybe you have a either a loose do-hicki or a bad whatchiyamacallit !

Smart decision i getting the Edge, the Edge/MKX, in my opinion are tops. Friends looked at the Equinox, were not impressed, they wound up with Caddy SRX, like it but do not love it. They should've gone Edge or MKX, but wanted to try GM this time.
