  1. Should be an awesome test drive on the "Z". You'll have to report on the test drive.
  2. From past experience with leather seats, the leftmost part of the drivers seat will show "wrinkles" sooner than the right side because you are putting more stress on it getting in and out.
  3. I'm ok so far, with my MKX, don't know of anyone with an Edge that is experiencing the problem, BUT, my sister in law had the same problem with her 2005 Ford Five Hundred, and it was the throttle body. Had it replaced, and all okay.
  4. Yeah, the '13 Escape looks sharp, haven't driven or sat in one yet. They have been out in Europe for a few years already, known by the name Kuga. I know that you can go obto Youtube and watch some vids on it.
  5. Doesn't seem normal, I would get it back to the dealer to check it out. Have power recliner on my "X", so I can't help you out here.
  6. Don't know of any way of resetting the gauge, get it to your dealer ASAP, tell them that you are going on vacation, and need to get it checked out immediately. Got my MKX at Maplecrest in Union, a great shop. Where did you get your Edge? Joe
  7. To each his/her own. I luv my MKX, wouldn't trade it for nothing. :hyper:
  8. Looks nice, welcome aboard !
  9. Haven't seen it in action, but some forum users say it is good stuff. Just have to apply a few coats of it to properly fill in the chips. Going to order some for my wife's MKS, she's getting some chips on the front bumper and a few on the hood, from stones, etc flying up.
  10. Seems like it's a good deal to me, enjoy and welcome to the forum.
  11. Hey Richy, Really looking good, and I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that cleans the inside of the exhaust tips. I've gone totally anal, I waxed the exhaust pipes and muffler, my wife came out to the garage, saw me laying under the car, and thought that I had a heart attack or something. Scared the shit out of her, but the pipes and muffler are nice and clean. You really did one hell of a job on your "X". Has it been treating you okay?, mine has been fine, and mpg's on the highway with cruise on (last weekend) gave me 25+ mpg's at 65 mph. Can't do much better than that. Must be because the thing is so slippery that it just glides through the air ! Joe P.S. Nice reflection in the car, looks like you are going to ______________________ !
  12. I'm sure that the trip will be a breeze in your Edge, safe driving, and watch your speed, you forget how fast you are going in these cars. Better yet, use the crusie control, get better mpg's, and avoid tickets.
  13. Welcome to the forum, and the best with your Edge, sure looks sweet. Any questions, just make a post in the forum, there are a lot of folks here that can help you out with questions that you might have.
  14. For all that are interested, this weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) there is a really cool classic/antique car show in eastern Pennsylvania. They have hundreds of cars, and for the women, there are arts & crafts, and all that happy stuff. There is a large picnic area, and vendors that sell food too. It is locate in a little town called Macungie, about 10 miles outside of Allentown. There is even a pool for swimming. Also a "Car Corral" with cars for sale. You can google Macungie Pa car show and get hits on it. To get there, Take RT 78 (east/west) to Rt 100 south (Fogelsville area) for about 10 miles, and it takes you right into the heart of this little great town. You can't miss it. If you are heading Rt 78 westbound, Rt 100 is a few exits after Allentown. If heading Rt 78 eastbound, it's before Allentown. link for show is WWW.AWKSCHT.COM Joe
  15. Seems a bit on the high side, even though it was never registered, it still has some miles on it, so it is not brand new. 0% financing will save you some nice bucks, try and get them down a bit. Check out what a 2013 with same options would cost you, then compare and make your decision.
  16. We went out to Pennsylvania today to visit friends, set the cruise at 64 mph, and managed to get instant readouts of 24.9-25.4mph. I know if I had the cruise set at 75 or 80, my mpg's would have dropped considerably. I've come to the conclusion that the faster you go, the faster life goes by, and I'k in no rush to pack it in, so I go slower, and enjoy the scenery !.
  17. I'm 6' 3", 205, and have plenty of room in my MKX (Edge twin). Try changing the positions of the power seat, a slight change makes a big difference.
  18. Welcome aboard, Christina, and a great and appropriate name you chose for your Edge. So you're from Chicago. Back in the '70's, I was at a place called Pulaski Pak, don't know if it still is around. Drove from there straight thru to New Jersey in 16 hours, that was the day we didn't pay attention to speed limits, and the car I had back then, bought used from a cousin in '69 for $750 (stole it) was a '66 Fairlane GT (390 with 4 speed). Keep Pearl well waxed, especially with your Chicago winters.
  19. Maguires wax with cleaner (red bottle) also works pretty good on light scratches and scuff marks.
  20. Just keep a eye on the remote start, if any problems, get it back to the dealer. I found out if I hit the button (2X) too fast the 2 times, it will screw things up.
  21. Enjoy your Edge, real sweet looking !
  22. Congrats on your new Edge. When you say that you are having problems with your autostart, do you mean the pushbutton start, or remote start. With rempte start, you first have to make sure the car is locked ( hit the lock button on remote) then the start button 2 times.
  23. You might want to try Maguires Scratch X or kit Scratch Out. Have used both with good results.
  24. Congrats on your Edge, and you will get alot of good suggestions on mods in this forum.
