  1. I wonder if they'll do a model of the MKX with the 22" wheels like they've done in the past?
  2. Plug it in via USB. You can use voice commands that way and it will show the info as well.
  3. They are absolutely gorgeous. Not overdone like some aftermarkets can be, just very sharp. Congrats!
  4. When you're on the first HD channel (like say WCSX in Detroit is 94.7), you wait until the HD light comes on. Then just simply push the + manual tune button and it'll take you to 94.72 Hope that helps. As another poster says, once you've locked onto that new station, you can save it just like any other station. And, I do want to say that WCSX's programming is not bad. WRIF's blows like I can't imagine. Boy do they need to fix that.
  5. Here's mine: T4T-14D544-BEGen2 - V2.4SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI2/11/2011 BT4T-14D544-BEGen2 - V2.4SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI2/11/2011 BT4T-14D544-BEGen2 - V2.4SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI2/11/2011 BT4T-14D544-BEGen2 - V2.4SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI2/11/2011 BT4T-14D544-BEGen2 - V2.4SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI1/7/2011 BT4T-14D544-AJGen2 - V1.8SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECU1/7/2011 BT4T-14D544-BEGen2 - V2.4SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI1/7/2011 BT4T-14D544-AJGen2 - V1.8SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI1/7/2011 BT4T-14D544-AJGen2 - V1.8SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI1/7/2011 BT4T-14D544-AJGen2 - V1.8SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI12/30/2010 BT4T-14D544-AJGen2 - V1.8SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI11/24/2010 BT4T-14D544-AJGen2 - V1.8SYNC GEN 2 IMAGECI11/2/2010 I was fortunate that I was having no problems before my Gen2 update. It has remained flawless. I am very pleased with MLT.
  6. When my mf's are really dirty, I pre-soak them in some Zep Citrus mixture. I then rinse them out in the laundry tub. When I wash them I use a regular detergent but only about 1/2 the quantity it calls for. I also add a few ounces of white vinegar to the rinse cycle to help break down any remaining soap. If you find you have a few that are still not soft and have wax or whatever in them, you can also boil them. Let them boil for a few minutes and then dump the water out. That will help restore them. Never use bleach with mf's and as stated above, never use fabric softener either. Some use a dryer, some don't. I have tried it both ways. I use a dryer but don't get them super hot. I have also tried a specific mf wash and found it no more effective than the laundry soap. I have a front load and need HE soap anyway so I'm not going to risk using a mf soap in that expensive machine.
  7. Kyle, maybe try playing a "catchy" tune on the radio....sorry couldn't resist being a smart-ass. sounds like you need a technician to look at it if the other side is operating properly. Good luck
  8. Varsol is a solvent. It may be more of a Canadian thing. If you are in the US, you can go to Walmart and get some prepsol. Any solvent like that will do just fine. The goo gone did shit for my glue on my wheels. I needed a stronger solvent. Use an all purpose cleaner after and they will be squeaky clean.
  9. I have an iphone4 and if I plug it into the USB, I can use voice commands and it will play exactly what I want.
  10. I have found the same thing that my power washer triggers locking and unlocking. Strange.
  11. Whenever you touch the car's surface, always start with the least aggressive method and then amp it up if it's not successful. Try 3m or the goo gone or tarminator or krud kutter or varsol. I ended up using Varsol. You can see im my attached post where I had a tough time removing it from the wheels. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/6182-detailing-my-mkx/
  12. As far as your collision warning goes, I had to adjust mine to the least sensitive setting or else it was just too annoying. It is better now.
  13. I got the 20" chromies on mine and they too, had that awful glue stuck to them. See my post for the entire clean up effort including what I had to do to remove the glue residue: http://www.live2detail.com/showthread.php?t=971
  14. Great info! that should be made into a sticky
  15. Congrats on your purchase! There is a learning curve to the electronics, but after a few days or so, it will become 2nd nature. The voice commands are amazing.
  16. I have the same issue with mine although it seems to happen sporadically and not just when it's only been on for less than a minute. I just wait a few seconds and try again...normally it works the 2nd time around.
  17. Like Akirby, that's not what I expected to see. Get that taken care of quickly. Make sure the inside of the door is shot with rust proofing so there's nothing out of sight that can spread. Make sure it's done properly. You're right: that IS unacceptable!
  18. Congrats on your new ride! I'm in the Detroit area and we've been pretty lucky so far this winter. I still hate driving around with a dirty car!
  19. I just wish they had included the self park feature that's available on the MKT. It's bloody witchcraft I'll tell you. What an amazing system! I read where it's going to be available on the '12 Focus.
  20. You gotta be kidding?!? How many accidents do YOU cause a day? Wow.
  21. Your ONR will make a great QD. It gives the dilution on the bottle. Very slick stuff and will not mar your paint.
  22. Clay bar is the easy way but only shaves off the surface. IronX gets down into the pores. Clay is fine if you don't want to spend the $$ on the other, clay is a lot cheaper.
  23. Oh, man, that looks amazing!! I bet next MY will have an edition with 22" wheels.
  24. Thank you for your honesty. You are very helpful to this forum!
  25. What colour is your car? Are the spots small and yellow or red in colour? What you may have is fallout. It's particularly noticeable on white cars. You need a metallic remover like IronX. I can provide a link if that's what you think your issue is. This stuff is extremely safe for paint and melts the metal off the surface. You spray it on and it turns purple where the metal is and then you powerwash it off. Let me know if I can help if that's your issue.
