I have a 2011 MKX which I adore. I have an iphone4. My vehicle was held at the factory to wait for the update and I did not get it until Dec 1. I have had no problems syncing my iphone. My wife has a iphone 3G. I added her phone to the list. My question is this: Can I sync MORE THAN ONE PHONE AT ONCE? The owner's manual says you can add phones but it does not specify how many can be online and connected at once. Is it only one? My phone is set as the primary. When I try to connect hers too, it kicks mine out. Is it only supposed to recognize one at a time?

I agree with you but also agree with the premise that more needs to be done to differentiate the brands. Other manufacturers have done a better job of it.

I'm happy for you. I, too, grew up in the car business (father was a GM dealer for 25 years) so I got spoiled over the years. I came out of a 2004 FX35 which I had never enjoyed a car as much as that one. I have an 11 MKX which I adore. Glad to hear it's working well for you.

That sounds like a new one to me. I hope you can get it resolved.

My only issue is the night light which I really don't care about. I can't be bothered to make a special trip just to address that. Make sure you put the AWD display on when you're driving in the snow..it's fascinating to watch!

I can tell you there is no option in the various menus to shut it off. It is one of those built-in features. I did not have it on my FX35 and I missed it. I can see in your case why you'd want it disabled, but I am glad it has it.

Do what I did: Register on the Blue Oval forum and make 10 posts. Then go into the employee section and you will see a guy named Cyberdman who gives updates based on the VIN. Read his rules first. He has helped a lot of people. He only asks that in return ,you post a pic of your ride when you get it.

That's awesome. The Sync boys have been very busy! I'm just f'ng pissed off that Pandora is not available in Canada. First we're shut out of 90% of sync functions and this sounds like it'll be a waste for Canadians again. What bullshit.

My 2 girls (7 and 4) love playing the "colour game"... we drive down the road and they pick different colours and giggle a lot.

You made a wise choice to check it out here. Yes, there have been some problems, but that is centred mainly on earlier production versions. The Sync is the Achilles heel right now, but Ford is working hard on solving the issues. There are updates that members are just starting to have done recently that will help solve most of the problems. I was contemplating a Hyundai Genesis and saw so many members having so many problems that I crossed the car off my list. I ended up ordering an MKX and couldn't be happier. I75 is a workout at any time!! I'm usually taking it or I-94 when we cross into Detroit. Where abouts are you? The features this car has is just sick! The wait always seems longer when you are anxious to get it. There seems to be a shortage of the 3.7 engines too as they are used in Mustang as well as F150. It will be worth the wait. You'll probably find a little less modding here than the Mach 1 forum though, eh??

I have the latest update and still have the night light. Just lock your doors like I advised and you;ll be fine for now.

LOL at the nohelp line comment! I did not try it on a different computer or by using a different memory stick. I may try doing that after the holidays. I just want it to work, regardless of the current status of sync.

Are they a light blue colour? If so, you are experiencing the so-called "night light". Even though it may look pretty, it will kill your battery if allowed to stay on. It is triggered, in my experience, when you shut off the car, do not lock it, and then open another door. That's what triggers it. If you are shutting the car off, locking it and closing the door and it is staying on, then you have a different problem. If you have the same experience as me, to solve it, you need to lock the car from the outside by either pushing the black button on the outside of the door handle or by pushing the last 2 buttons on the driver' s side keypad simultaneously. You will see the night light extinguish immediately when you do that. You just have to change your method of locking until this is dealt with in the next update.
