I have tried twice at the dealer since the 3.5 upgrade to get the seat feature to get activate with no sucess. JC

33.5 done at the dealer, They had to replace the APIM, loaded update on new modual, that failed, called into Ford engineers to guide then through the install. Took 2.5 days to complete with a schedule to return to correct the following. Now I cannot load or push my contacts to MLT, also, the remote start auto climate controls will only turn the auto-temperture on. The dealer tells me that I need a newer phone, and to just leave the climate controls in last settings. This last setting does not turn on the heated or cooled seats, windshield or rear window defrost/defog option. Is seem this vehicle has stumped the ford chumps so far.

A downloadable update can only update the software in the SYNC module (APIM) itself and can't reprogram the other modules, so the dealer is needed in this case.

Rockballer, Consider yourself lucky, I had the update installed at the dealer, new APIM took them 3 days. Now valet mode, remote start climate features and cannot download or push phone contacts to Snyc. JC

Take a look at: truedelta.com, before you consider the X5. I would call the bank that you have your car loan with and talk to the loan manger. I have done this before and it worked miracles, getting the dealer to resolve the problems with the vehicle.

I thunk that way, until Sync services was turned off by Sync. That was their way of motivating me to go visit the dealer. At the dealer 3 days and only 90% fixed. The service writer invited me back to waste more of my time. I am not getting paid to accomplish the problem Ford has with MFT, but the dealer is. JaCarr Many lazy Technicians

We need an anagram for MFT/MLT, so that We'll can entertain each other, while Ford attempts to figure out how to resolve the problems with Sync and touch.

On my 11 MKX the dash board selector lites change color when I move the shifter. There is no lites on the shifter panel.

Having the same issues with mine.

I believe this is done for safety. To kept you arm, below the window, in a protected area of the vehicle. Same with the heated steering wheel, The area heated does not cover the two and ten area, in case the airbag deploys, your hands will strike you face. HTH, JC
