As per the Owners Manual, the part numbers listed are the MotorCraft numbers, WW-2755 (driver side) WW-2760 (passenger side) WW-1414 (rear window). On the MotorCraft packaging, both, the Ford and MotorCraft numbers are mentioned. After seeing my photo, I just noticed there are newer part number with (-A) in the suffix. Can't see the difference except for packaging, plastic for the old ones and carton for the newer ones.

They were available for me on ForScan the beta version with a paid license. So not sure you would be able to get them it flash them with the free license.

I would be less concerned with the differentials as they are open diffs, they are routinely rotating at different speeds any time the car is not going straight ahead. The PTU is a straight gear link, and hence cannot tolerate any rotational speed difference between both sides, hence the clutch pack that engages/disengages when needed, not only for traction, but to also prevent binding between front and read on hard turns.

The stock compact spare tire is smaller in diameter than the regular wheels/tires and it causes the AWD to disconnect. It defaults to FWD only. From the owners manual:

To me it sounds like the replacement FCIM is bad.

Sorry, I did not notice my name. I did not have an issue with my Alternator hence I don't have experience. Also I was expecting @Haz to jump in to help, as usual, and reply to you. I hope he is ok and doing well.

I got it to work on my 2016 Edge as you describe by updating the firmware of the FCIM using ForScan. I have done several years ago so I don't remember the details. However, I do not have a heated steering wheel, so I can't confirm it, but the cooled seats do stay on. Also if I manually start the vehicle, the cooled seats will turn on if they were on last time before turning the engine off.

I don't recall reading about someone using them in an Edge. But being different might mean there is an "engineering" thing and hence I would not recommend it. If you need cheaper OEM, you can get them cheaper by buying the Ford Performance set for the Mustang which uses the same lug nuts as the 2015+ Edge. See here for more details on my experience.

The intake manifold part number (this on Tasca) is the same for all 2015+ Ford Edge 2.7 models, however, it is only for 2015-2017 F-150 models. The intake manifold would have been changed in case port injection was added to the 2019+ Edge. In my opinion, this is a confirmation that the Edge/Nautilus did NOT get the 2nd generation Nano.

How did you do that? When ignition is off, you can simply rotate them manually and lift.

Just a clarification, the extra noise in my Edge after the sunroof glass replacement is noticable only with the sunroof shade open. Also, going through the order guides, it seems 2021 is the year they changed the standard "Acoustic-Laminate Windshield" to "Laminated Windshield" and also the "Acoustic-Laminate Front Row Side Windows" is not mentioned anymore for the Titanium & ST models. 2021-Edge-Order-Guide.pdf 2020-Ford-Edge_OrderGuide.pdf

Take the 2024 for a test drive first. I personally have NOT driven one, but given the recent sunroof glass change I had on my 2016 and how the replacement is not acoustic glass, similar to 2019+ models, and that even the front side windows are also no more acoustic on newer models (not sure which year it started), I suspect you'll feel quite a difference in noise levels.

Lift arms replaced. However, wind noise the same. It is definitely the acoustic roof vs. regular glass.

Just a follow up, the issue never re-occurred. Only things done since the last time it happened that I remember that might affect it, are a battery disconnect for about 40 days I was on travel in Nov/Dec 2022 and then got the battery replaced in August 2023 (normal no start due to weak battery).

As far I know, the Edge in North America did not come with motion sensing alarm systems. You can confirm this by looking at the overhead console. If they have sensors or not like in the photo. I'm guessing it is a mistake in the owner's manual.

There is no real benefit in reporting the update. Previously it would have only updated the installed sync version so or Ford would know. But as you have already now installed the latest version, and there are no further updates coming, you're not gaining anything. Don't worry about it or waste any time on it.

On my 2016 Edge, the door switches do NOT turn on with the door open. They turn on with the ignition, at least at night regardless of light switch position.

I really do hope so. I ordered new brackets (apparently called "lift arms" by Ford) and the clips required to remove & reinstall the rear roof side trims. They need a couple of weeks to arrive. Hopefully they will fix the rattling and reduce the wind noise.

There are 2 tie down hooks (loops), make sure they are not under the loose panel, otherwise the panel will not fully seat. Also, the storage bins have raised nibs that go in to slots under the panel. So if they are not aligned correctly, the panel would also not seat correctly.

When the glass is closed, there doesn't seem to be any looseness. As for the sound, it doesn't sound like air leak, rather wind noise from behind the glass. I distinguish it more because I had it in my previous 2011 MKX that had a tempered glass sunroof. When I first got the Edge I remember immediately noticing the lack of wind noise from the sunroof with the shade open compared to the MKX, and I had attributed it to the laminated glass. The difference in wind noise is similar to when riding in another vehicle that is not equipped with "Acoustic-Laminate Glass". The Acoustic Laminated Sunroof seems to have been dropped by Ford in 2019, as can be seen in the description in 2018 & 2019 Ford Edge order guides.

Recently got my sunroof glass replaced on my 2016 Edge Sport due to a minor incident. I noticed a clunking/rattling noise coming at speed when it is open, like something is loose, checking around I found that there is some play in the rear brackets and just wanted to confirm from other owners that this is indeed not normal. See below video I just took. Edit: I expect I need new brackets. Probably the little plastic stops are worn out and the replacement of the glass process made things worse. On another note, the replacement sunroof glass is the updated "tempered" glass instead of the original laminated, and with the shade open (glass closed) there seems to be more wind noise than before.
